    This is how HobbyKing describes this legendary Foam RC Bush Plane:
    "The Tundra has firmly established itself in the RC community and has now become the go to model for most RC pilots. From intermediate pilots to the more experienced flier this plane will do it all. The Tundra is an extremely versatile plane that is great fun to fly and is highly entertaining for all pilots with its excellent aerobatic potential, STOL flying ability and all round toughness.
    The Tundra V2 has had further improvements over the upgraded original version. Vortex generators have now been added to the leading edge of the wing to increase the stability at slow speeds. The undercarriage is now more secure and easier to install thanks to machine screws and brass inserts, the plastic landing gear cross brace mount is now made of metal for improved durability. Also included is a newly designed battery tray. The V2 still retains the improved wing connectors, wing mount, upgraded motor and Aerostar 40 amp ESC with reverse.
    Whether it is flying from rough fields, water, snow or sand, the Tundra takes it all on with ease. The Tundra has a wide flight envelope making it ideal for FPV flying, aerobatics, glider towing, candy dropping or just good old-fashioned super STOL slow flying,
    The tough EPO foam construction is beautifully finished and the Tundra design has a purposeful rugged look. Its lightweight design coupled with a powerful brushless set-up instantly gives you a feeling of confidence on the sticks as quickly as it puts a smile on your face.
    This rugged and reliable plane can also get into those tight and hard to land places with its huge flaps, vortex generators and extreme STOL performance. The large main wheels make it easy to land just about anywhere. Swap out the wheels for the supplied floats and you'll be flying from lakes, streams and other waterways.
    A quick change to the included FPV canopy will give you more extreme fun flying. More excitement can be found utilizing the built-in tow fitting for towing your friend’s gliders to the best thermals.
    Simply put the Tundra is an immense amount of fun to fly and you will be in the air very quickly due the very straightforward and speedy assembly process. Take on the very best mother nature can throw at you and still come up smiling. With the Tundra, there are no limits!
    Features:
    • Fast and easy assembly

    I love those overpowered Turbo Tundras! I built mine with a SK3-3542-800kv and fly it on 4S only with an APC 12x8 prop. That thing leaps in the air from just touching the throttle, my favourite stunt is to let it take off out of a gap next to the field I'm flying from. It pulls itself out near vertically. And I've got plenty of headroom for aerobatics and to keep my self out of critical situations.

    That little Tundra is scooting now!! Hobby King best STOL plane for sure. 👊 Love the view of the snow cap mountains. Cool. …I updated my Bighorn to 4s. Insane speed if you need it. lol. Great looking video. Man that grass is so lush and green. Makes them STOL landings a little challenging. 👍👍 👊💥👊

      Hey there! I have asked Tim the owner of the plane to answer your questions as he made all of the changes himself and I just tried to keep up with the flight 👊🏻💥👊🏻

    • @timjoostens8887
      @timjoostens8887 2 года назад +2

      The motor is changed to the the Hobbyking Propdrive 3542 1000kv motor. I believe its 18 or 19 dollars at Hobbyking. You have to oversize the mounting holes in the x plate to make it screw into the stock bulkhead, but it's really easy.

      Also get yourself a xoar 12x6 propeller for electric planes. It is a much better prop.

    Hey .. I’ve been eyeing this plane , looks like a great plane. I’ve had the FT mini Corsair (extremely damaged) and a trainer plane I’ve had some successful flights but plenty of crashes do you think I can manage the tundra?

    WTF?...my tundra flies like shit...i even upgraded it with the esc and motor from a eflite air tractor...my tundra wants to drags its tale and when i give it power it wants to pitch up and i have to spend a lot of nerves flying the damn thing but it flies off land and water...my CG is good so how is your tundra flying so smooth?....i have a 13/6 2blade prop...i tried a 11/7.5 3blade prop but it flies better with the 2blade...so whats up with yours?

      The 12 x 6 xoar propeller is a huge upgrade. I like the avion 60 amp esc and the 3542 1000kv motor help. Make sure you program your esc endpoints, could be the issue.
