The franchise definitely was able to steal a big portion of my heart, reserved for Mass Effect and it's characters only. Something that doesn't happen often for me
Ik this is like a couple years old but I can’t agree more, I finally after 14 years of wanting to play it finally got around to it (I was four when the first one came out and watched mom play it at age 7, so I grew up with it) and that game series took a piece of me with it after I beat it. I’m trying to learn the pieces but my eyes are physically tearing up trying to learn it
@plochol The endings may not be the best, but they absolutely nailed the music for it. Atin's cover of "An End, Once And For All" is just as great as this one
I really hope it's a remake and not a remaster. I understand the community will pretty much take any new Mass Effect content at this point but a remake would be a godsend.
@@joellugg9183 Good question! A remake consists of keeping the same core elements of the original title (like plot, atmosphere, etc.) but otherwise designing and developing the same game again from the ground up (Ex. you may want to use a more modern engine, character models are redone, levels are completely overhauled, etc.). Due to the time and effort it would take to do such a task in terms of simply "redoing" the entire Mass Effect Trilogy, EA and (maybe Bioware) will simply opt for a remaster. A remaster is generally acknowledged/understood as "touch-ups" to an already existing game. This would simply involve enhancing audio, slightly improving graphics of character models and already existing level layouts, and making small tweaks to the gameplay. In summary, remake = completely new game but with same core elements so it's still recognizable and remaster = same exact game with small tweaks so companies like EA can "resell" you the same game but justify the price. Remember, the key goal of AAA video game companies is to make a profit NOT to make good quality games. NOW companies like CD Projekt RED are realizing that good quality games will allow you to achieve a higher profit margin (Who knew good games would make you more money? lol). But anyways, remasters are a fast and easy way of reselling you the same game without too much effort from a game developer standpoint and keeps the publisher happy (makes money quick and easy).
I cannot hear this without getting chills. I honestly envy anyone who experience the trilogy for the first time. I wish I could. Nevertheless, however, the Mass Effect trilogy will always be three of my favorite games ever
I had that experience the last 3 weeks. I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. The emotional heartbreak and rollercoaster, the sheer epicness that takes over your life. Fuck. I can't even... Fuck. I finished it last night.

Leaving has never been harder than the beginning of this song. Watching Earth burn and good people die, and knowing the only way you can help them is to run away. The feels.
When the game came out, and the Reapers hit earth, I had actual anxiety about turning the game off to go to bed the first night lol It made much of an impact. Not to be all in my feelings or anything; it's just that the game is just that GOOD.

Mass Effect Trilogy is my favorite Sci Fi Universe and I still feel goosebumps when I hear this song, takes me back to the leaving earth scene which I think was really powerful and it hit me hard in my heart, it truly made me feel hatred and fear for the reapers and sorrow for humankind. Music is such a powerful thing. Amazing cover and video :)
I’ve always liked that throughout the entire song there’s this persistent note. It gets drowned out by the reaper noise a lot but it’s always there, constant consistent and never stops, much like humanity. Overshadowed by this overwhelming menace, yet we fight never stopping until at the end of the song it’s triumphant and victorious. Never give up.

Fun little story. I never finished any of the Mass Effect games until mid-2020 (obvious reasons). And aside from the first one, I'd never even reached the halfway mark. So then I binged them all in a single week, all the DLC included. 100% Paragon. I don't know what it is, but between this series and Dark Souls, three notes seems to be all it takes to just shatter me mentally. It's like these games plant a piece of themselves in the depths of your soul, and the music is a large part of that.
Why can't I like this more than once. I just started ME3 (I know, late to the party much) and I've managed to know next to nothing about what happens in this game.
