Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is gorgeous around Christmas time. Put it on your bucket lost to visit during the holidays season and you won't be disappointed.
I live about 3 hours away from Leavenworth and I usually go about 3-4 times a year. It's amazing, not just during Christmas time. In October and the summer months it's also incredible, and the surrounding area in general is breathtaking. seriously, if you have the chance, you need to visit.
World According To Briggs Have fun! unfortunately I haven’t been able to visit during Oktoberfest, but I really want to. Sounds super fun during that time of year.
Check out Santa Claus, Indiana. The town has Christmas decorations up year around and it has Holiday World which is a holiday themed theme park that has some of the best rollercoasters in the country. I recommend checking it out if you are passing through southern Indiana.
I used to live in Glenwood Springs, not too far away. I would go to Vails fireworks every year. They spend a million Dollars and they're unbelievable!!
Have you been to Silver Dollar City in Missouri? It’s an amusement park with glass blowing shops, it’s own homemade candy shop, a cave, and they go all out during Christmas.
@@kellieferguson8199 how is it during the rest of the year? Is it far enough from Seattle to not have those problems going on in everyday life? Just curious. Thank you!
You forgot to mention the Christmas parade in San Antonio, Texas. This one has been going on for about 35 years or so, and it is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it's when they light up the Riverwalk and of course they have all of the lighted barges for the parade on the river just like they do during Fiesta.
Need much more Christmas imagery from each city. It's pretty lack luster when you're mentioning the decorations and lights and aren't showing any images. Love your video, thanks for all the work you put into them.
I don't understand how you can put Asheville NC on here BUT not Pigeon forge TN or Gatlinburg TN?!?!? Dollywood sits in Pigeon forge and makes Bush gardens looks like amateur light decorators compared to it during the holiday season. AND every building in these two cites (just five miles apart form each other) decorate for the holiday, all the way till the end of march i might add, which is part of the winter-feast here. We're not far from Asheville NC (other side of the mountains) come by and check out not 1 but 2 towns that blow the towns on this list out of the water when it comes to Christmas decor.
I used to go to Leavenworth two or three times a year, usually in the spring and around Oktoberfest. I took the snow train out there once during the Christmas season, never doing that again. The early morning drunks singing and dancing in the aisle on the ride out were a bit much. The town is gorgeous all year round, especially in the spring.
Shoutout to Riverside, California specifically if you go to the downtown area. The Festival of Lights is grand throughout to say the least. Been going on for 26-27 years and keeps getting bigger each year. Glad to see it nationally recognized at this point
I work in Frankenmuth. What's really cool is knowing about all the "hidden" gems and deals. My friend said I should do a "how to have a great day in Frankenmuth for under $25". LOL
Gatlinburg, TN - Christmas lights, Christmas shows, Christmas country songs, Dollywood, Christmas Inn, Christmas Stores, street carolers, pancake smell and so on and on ...
The best part of a 'Christmas' town is the lights...which mostly seem to be missing here. Leavenworth with the lights on is a sight to behold, as I am sure the others would be, too, but we won't know from this video.
Mr Briggs - nice list but one thing I want to mention. I've driven through Woodstock, Vermont many times. It's a beautiful small town, however they no longer have an active rail line to the town. The line closed in 1916. You also showed the Chester, Vermont station in your segment. It's a neat station but it's 39 miles south of Woodstock. Still - great video.
I am from Pennsylvania and there 10 Christmas towns in PA. But I've only been to one, which is in Wellsboro ( PA) about 35 to 40 minutes from here Canton (PA). It is amazing town and they have such beautiful decorations . They do a Charles Dickens vision of Christmas, set back to the 1840's. They have a lot of fun things to do there & we try to go every year. Is done between Dec.2nd thru Dec. 4th. We love it!
How about the town of Pine Mountain, Ga/ Callaway Gardens? According to National Geographic, they have one of the top ten light displays in the world. Just double checked and NG still has them on the list. Magical!
Hey what happened to Christmas Town USA, in McAdenville, NC. & Gatlinburg, TN. & Pigeon Forge Tn.? They are all 3 Christmas Towns that's all lite up every Christmas !!!!!
Silver Dollar City, Missouri Theme Park, 6.5 millions lights, Christmas Parade, Two Broadway style shows, Scrooge and It's a Wonderful Life, Sing Along Christmas Train, 7 roller coasters, twelve restaurants, two bakeries, lots of Hot Chocolate, Wassel, Cappuccino kiosks, it's a magical place.
When I saw the title I wondered if Leavenworth wa. Would make the list. It's the first town that came to my mind . As far as North Pole Alaska a friend from Fairbanks married a girl from North Pole the impression I got was a rural ghetto. They still have out houses there and water is trucked in
Yep, I always say, "God gave us family to prepare us for the rest of the world". (Pertaining to the opening comment about family) I live in South Florida by St. Augustine and I think they want you to be so captivated with the lights that you forget that we don't have any snow.
Briggs very enjoyable videos keep it up. By the way North Pole is warm (not for me but the folks there wear shorts and T-shirts in the winter) about zero right now and near there it has been recorded at 60 below
I family been to number 7 on this list and my mom HATED it. i was luckily enough to have work so i missed all the fun they had lol and this was during the summer
Mcanville NC near Charlotte (unsure of spelling) the town goes all out for Christmas. Rumor has it its start when the local textile mill pays the power bill for the townspeople if they decorate with lights they even have a Christmas themed pond in town right across the street from the fire station. The shops in town goes all out too. The local churches give free hot cocoa to walkers in the town.
Hey Briggs, great video! And I'm super excited for this Christmas season! I was wondering when you'd get around to doing the Top 10 Reasons Not To Move to Puerto Rico.
It'd be nice if you showed us lighting displays.
Great. Would be fantastic if we got to see the towns that are mentioned at night with the lights.

My neighbors should move there. They don't take their decorations down all year either.
I love Santa Clause, and I would like to move there. My wife can't figure out why but that place is secluded too.
@@Heisenberg4188 True and unfortunate. I would love to ride the coasters even in the cold , just dress like you are about to go downhill skiing.
OHIO HERE WE LOVE INDIANA,,WE PRAY TO GOD AND JESUS
But Indiana have bad reputation from most of the peoples
Vail looks like Christmas in July no joke they go crazy with their lights.
I’ve been there, I live in Missouri. It’s BEAUTIFUL at Christmas!

Seriously Leavenworth is really cute in any time of year. I also thought that Leavenworth would be #1 on this list.

I went to North Pole, Alaska and it was one of my favorite places in Alaska. Saint Augustine is also nice during Christmas!
No cold, no snow, no way it should make the list. Watching Christmas lights in shorts & flip flops just does not compute!
We need some Minnesota towns on here lol
I have been to Leavenworth, Washington. It is a lovely town.
McAdenville North Carolina check it out it would have been in the top five at least!
I agree
We love, love, love Solvang, what an amazing place!
My daughter is in North Pole Alaska now. -24 degrees last night !

Thank you for including my favorite, Frankenmouth, MI.
I grew up going there as a kid. Now I live in Florida and completely forgot about it.

Lucky you
I was in Frankenmuth in Dec 2020. My GF and I loved it! Now I’m looking for another gem this year.
While our town isn't going to be on a list, just so you know - the song "Winter wonderland" was written about and at the Green in Honesdale PA.
Steven Earl sounds like a great town!!
I gotta check out Levenworth. It sort of reminds me of Helen, Georgia during the holidays. Thanks for doing this video, Briggs.
Another interesting list Briggs👍😃. I will now look for the Christmas videos for each town. No other country does Christmas like America.⛄⛇🎅⛇⛄
NO JOKE AS THE LIST WENT TO NUMBER 6 I SAID ASHEVILLE AND IT SAID ASHEVILLE
Honestly a smouldering crater would be more fitting. Literally Sodom 2.0
Wellsboro Pennsylvania. They have Charles Dickens weekends. Beautiful!
Grapevine Texas you kidding right
I was going to call you out if you didn't add north pole Alaska to the list
Gatlinburg, TN - Christmas lights, Christmas shows, Christmas country songs, Dollywood, Christmas Inn, Christmas Stores, street carolers, pancake smell and so on and on ...
when i lived in Colorado, there was a little place calle The North Pole in Pikes Peak. Not sure if it's there anymore
It's still there. Cool little place.
imshannon nottellin isn’t it just an amusement park?
Not sure. Its been a long time since ive been there.
Yeah, it's basically an amusement park, but set up like a village.
The best part of a 'Christmas' town is the lights...which mostly seem to be missing here. Leavenworth with the lights on is a sight to behold, as I am sure the others would be, too, but we won't know from this video.
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania didn't make the list? It's nicknamed "Christmas City!" And I live only 55 miles away!
I agree, half of these towns got nothing on Bethlehem.
I live 40 minutes from Bethlehem
@@chzel9039 I live just an hour away! Closer to Philly tho

There's a town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan literally named Christmas, MI
Williamsburg, VA, is not in New England.
I was thinking the same thing, went back to listen, he meant from that time and era = Colonial period.

Gatlinburg Tennessee is also a great place to visit during the Holidays
In Branson Missouri they have one of the world records of the most Christmas lights put up in the amusement park that is there
Minnesota is perhaps one of the best places for Christmas as it turns into a winter wonderland
