It's not about how much it will cost for Honda to include those tidbits (USB ports etc.) into the lower spec cars, it's about making the high specs more attractive to prospective buyers. It's trivial for Honda to add those USB ports in the factory, but a major hassle for the owner to add them aftermarket. So by omitting these small things in the lower spec, they help push the buyer to pay a few more thousand for the higher spec models. It also help make those high spec car owners feel the extra they paid over the lower specs is justified.
Love the fact that you are giving your honest opinion with some sarcasms intended. Honda just had to do some stupid thing by cmng out with so many variants. They could've just had it as low, mid spec and the RS. I don't see the point when they give Conti tyres for the low spec and Toyo tyres for high spec ffs

Why Toyota Vios is worth to buy than Honda City: 1. Cheaper to maintain than Honda City 2. More reliable and better quality than Honda City, despite share parts with Daihatsu but actually not Perodua 3. Based on power, Toyota Vios and Honda City does not have much difference now as Vios have lighter weight and have many gears while City comes with powerful engine 4. Vios have better fuel consumption compare to Honda City. Even new Vios improves a lot than Vios NCP151 gen 3.75 5. Vios is also safer car to buy which have blind spot monitor when overtaking lanes and also come with 360 degree camera and rear cross traffic alert when comes about parking in any place while Honda City somehow still not safer as Honda City still come with lanewatch camera, though which is blind spot technology but come with left side but not the right side. Even Honda City also don’t have blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and 360 degree camera. 6. Interior for honda city is outdated and also come with non-colour multi info display screen meter but not colour if comparing with toyota vios as Vios interior looks way advanced and also come with lcd colour multi info display meter
