If you develop a reputation people may treat you differently. College is a lot about networking and even if it’s not right, a reputation isn’t good for job connections.
It's so crazy to watch this and think about my freshman year and why I chose to go to U of O! I have such a similar story to yours and am actually glad I did not go to LMU and pursued a better program. These tips are crazy helpful Margot!

Im studying architecture and my schedule is PACKED so i cant do a part time job or anything. I live in a dorm, but my house is only 2 hours away i usually come home once a week. What is it like dorming? How do you feel sharing bathrooms, kitchens, etc.? I would like to go away but I am picky and don’t know how I would feel living in that type of environment.

In dorms, kitchens aren't really a thing, with meal plans you dont really ever cook! for bathrooms, its honestly not that bad because there are people who come and clean them almost daily. the privacy thing is a little rough sometimes because its so public using a shared bathroom, but I think living in the dorms is the best way to make friends freshman year and you should def give it a shot! also, i make a ton of college videos on my channel if you'd want to check those out!

I go to a small school and scheduling classes aren’t hard at all. I scheduled my classes so i would have Tuesdays and Thursdays off this past semester :)

How's the financial aid at Syracuse? It's (still) my top choice, but I got waitlisted and my mom pretty much told me that she can't afford to send me there without good financial aid.
Syracuse is one of my top schools right now (I’ll be a senior next year tho) and one of the main things holding me back is that I don’t think the Greek life is for me, and I’ve heard that it like rules the campus. I respect Greek life and it looks like a lot of fun, but I just don’t think I would be interested in joining. I feel like if I don’t join I won’t have a social life and stuff tho :/ do you have any insight as a member of the Greek community there?

Jessie Maisie usually your second year you move into sorority houses if they have them. if not, you can stay in a dorm or get an apartment. usually dorms are only for first years because theyre required and optional for other years

28 on the ACT isn’t as bad as you say it is! Some people get a lot lower than that
