Jackson has such a great touch with the vibes. Never heard the instrument played so dynamically. Tickles one's ear.
C'est génial. J'adore Milt et Hubert. Merci, merci....
I use to listen to this ten times a day in highschool.
No kiddin' Bro... still burning up my CD..nothing else like it, and how about a shout out for Steve Gadd building up those sections until one thinks the whole studio is going to explode.
You have great taste in music!
AWESOME! 🎼🎵
SKJ is nearly the perfect take of a 12-bar blues: so blue, Freddie and Herbie crushing it, accompaniment in lockstep with sick substitutions and immaculate tension/release. One of my favorites of all time.
Just a lovely and sensitive Jazz album. Enjoy this exquisite trip, folks. Dig & Cheers!
Hello, Seattle. I'm listening.
Super album. It will be one of my favourites. Thank you.
Nice handle, it fits the content perfectly. I guess there's probably a lot of CTI records to find there, practically all of the releases they've published are of impeccable quality. All in the decade the oil prices were soaring, and the best jazz was funk. As an owner of a vinyl copy I'm happy to read the comments. Not one is a negative one, but yeah, then again; who could disagree with the fact that this is wonderful music
Just picked up the vinyl myself! three bucks! Hadn't heard of Mr. Jackson, but the cover art caught my eye and I knew I found something good when I saw the featured personnel.
@@prod.j4ck313 three bucks, you're a lucky guy! The art work of all CTI records is brilliant indeed, hard to miss. They're regarded as much as works of art as the vinyl it packed inside. Same goes for the engineering and mixing, done by Rudy van Gelder on practically all CTI releases. A legendary sound engineer. All and all impeccable works of art considering the amount of attention they'd put in it.
All album covers could be ordered as large size poster too. Which on it's own still sounds like an incredible feat, even today.
Brilliant...and beyond cool😎
И Хуберт лоус и милт Джексон какие звёзды на все времена! Разговаривают на инструментах
Had this album so long ago. Thanks for posting.
incredible album, thank you for this gem '
Excellent LP SOLID!!!
I read a random twitter comment that called this the pinnacle of Jazz
It's up there for sure. If you like this you'll really enjoy "Cubicle" (1978) by the great Walter Bishop Jr.
私はこのアルバムのオパスデファンクが一番のお気に入りです。
MJ created his identifiable soul sound. Indubitably.
💛☺️💚
