Hi Heidi, there seem to be a lit of people in this fallen world who forget to take the log out of their own eye before pointing out the splinter in someone else's. Just know that we love you even when (and maybe because) you show us that you are not PERFECT in all things. God Bless you for giving us so much to appreciate. 😊

I love your quilt Heidi! I have fired up my 1924 singer 66 red eye treadle. The iron lady will be 100 years old April 8, 2024. I researched and learned and cleaned and oiled and look forward to many years with her. She was a gift from my parents and they could not have made me happier! Heidi inspired....😊
Heidi, you are such a blessing with all your wealth of knowledge and wisdom. I can not thank you enough. I just made a big pot of chili over the weekend and was thinking about dehydrating it. The bone broth I dehydrated recently saved us a huge amount of space in our freezer.
The quilt is beautiful! Cracking up with the being human talk! Funny that how one pronounces words some people feel compelled to let you know how wrong you are! Loved your attitude ! Thanks for your hard work and all the things you share...
I did my first batch of dehydrated hamburger meat. After a couple weeks added it to spaghetti sauce. It came out fantastic! It’s going to be my go to now instead of freezing it.
Heidi, l just want to say what an inspiration you are! I look forward to your new videos…l learn so much from you. I’m still going through your older videos by trying to watch a few every day. I love your this and that videos because they are current and I can see how you are. The quilt is beautiful and full of the love and appreciation we have for you! Enjoy it!

Looking forward to the dehydrated kimchi video! The quilt is just wonderful! What a lovely gift from the audience. Thanks also for the dehydrated ginger recommendation regarding flavor.
Just got notification my Misfits Market order is on it's way! Got some things to dehydrate in there, as well as some fresh eating. Thanks for the info on adding fresh produce to frozen in order for the ferment to happen, I didn't know that and doubt I would have thought of it. Thanks for the info on Now, I didn't even know they sold essential oils! All the natural food stores around here sell their supplements, but not the EOs. The quilt is gorgeous, how fun that you received squares from overseas, and how wonderful that your gorgeous little grandbaby girl will get it passed on to her! And thanks for all your videos on remedies - I've had a head cold, it tried to move into my chest, but I've been hitting it hard with natural remedies and I'm kicking its butt! - and this is from someone who used to get bronchitis 1-2 times/winter & sinus infections 1-2 times/winter - God's medicine is sooo much better than manmade!!! I've been pronouncing oxalic wrong too! oh my! oh well. I'm glad you're storing your dried ginger in little chunks, powdering it as needed. Keeps more flavor that way. I love these videos. So many things to try!
Heidi, so pleased you are human😉😀. Thank you for mentioning about the essential oils to ingest, I did wonder about this, thanks for the clarification. Oh, btw the quilt is wonderful.
I found a great deal on onions this week, because the were starting to reach the end of their storage life. I'm fermenting them in a simple 1 tablespoon plain salt to 1 cup water, until I smell and taste them starting to ferment. Nothing extra added. Then I'll refrigerate until I need onion for burgers, potato salad, meat loaf, etc. As long as I don't put my fingers in the jar, only using a clean stainless steel fork to get some out, those onions will last for months.
I fermented onions before when I ended up with a lot of them as well. They are handy to have ready to go like that. Though I do always add my fermentation starter to everything just to insure it will take off
I’m so excited to see your dehydrated kimchi recipe! That quilt is gorgeous ❤ I need to find out what this fermentation collab is, such a cool idea to do in February

Would you ever consider a series of how to use and maintain a treadle sewing machine? I have an antique one that I bought from an estate sale in 1982. My son broke the belt shortly after I aquired it by sitting on the treadle and pretending he was driving a car by turning the wheel back and forth. @@RainCountryHomestead thanks Heidi. I will look on Rumble for them. I don't like Rumble but I have abruptly decided to leave YT. After having to endure the first 10 seconds 3 different"stinky balls" ads this morning I decided to report it as offensive and was given the reason they show these kind of ads is my location. What the heck. I'm so sick of seeing ads for private chats, Russian girls with big boobs and now this. Clearly yt tried to force me into paying for ad free service. Well it backfired on them and I am leaving.
Woooh for making mistakes~ It would be interesting to see if the chemicals (that they may spray on) transfers into the finished products. But we already have many things polluting our environment, sadly.
Since you mentioned your Golden Oregano I decided to ask if you know the genus name for this plant. I have been looking for seeds with no luck in finding them. I am going to attempt to buy a plant but want to make sure I am getting the same as you have.
I do not and never looked it up but what I can say is that mine has yet to ever produce seed making me think they can only be spread through the roots and creating starts.
I also want to comment on a friend of mine about dehydrating foods, she is putting me down because I do,saying it looses nutrients in the foods. Yes fresh is better but dehydrating is better. Less space, not having to use the freezer or fridge. Can't seem to change her mind. She also is growing her food which I got her into doing, but she doesn't think by freezer method is good,so I can't change her mind,I will continue doing my method. People nit pick all the time with me,and u get the same thing.
So how does she preserve food, or does she? For some nutrients, dehydrating preserves more than freezing does. Canning destroys the most but again, it is only vitamins, everything else remains intact
Some of our best inventions & great food have been through making mistakes. That's how the A/C was invented. It was originally made as a military tank cooling system & where would we be without the microwave?
not sure where to ask this question...so i decided fermenting...since KOMBUCHA is fermented tea.. Could i add some fermentation starter to my f 1 kombucha to give it a head start.? My home is 66 degrees in the winter ...one place is not warmer than the other..i have had my ferments brewing in every corner of my home.. lol to experiment. I am using g a small heating pad... it makes me uncomfortable because of automatic m shut off and I may forget to reset until the contents are room temp again..thank u
So I watched your video on fermented eggs. What I don't see is how 1/4 fermentation filled a Quart jar. How did you get that much liquid in the jar? Did you add it gradually as yoou addad more sugar. Sorry if I missed something. Is it possible the first commentor was Robert, not Roberta?
Their name is Roberta, I thought it was Robert too until I clicked on their name. Even if they really are a guy, they are acting like a spoiled little girl, so it fits. On that video I did clarify in a pinned comment just under the video that I did not realize until after it published that I had accidentally cut out the part where I topped it off with water
Believe it or not, some people find relief with an organic raw vinegar. It can be store bought apple cider or homemade of any variety. Here is the video I did on herbs and more for digestion health: ruclips.net/video/QWspFfmDAYo/видео.html
Hello I thought about purchasing Jase medical emergency kit. Was wondering are there herbs to make an antibiotic kit? If you're unable to discuss on this platform, can I email you? Thank you.
Do you know how many nurses and doctors mispronounce the brand names of some of the medications we give out? Usually its because we put the emphasis, like you did, on the wrong syllable. As far as ingesting EOs. My story. I was sick as a dog, sinus infection, that always historically ends up in my ears and chest. I'm learning healing herbs and I was convinced, with what I learned and had on hand, I could cure myself without Pharma. I chose oregano as my healing herb and my next step was to decide the best way to administer it. I had oregano Essential oil, researched it, found it was a potent anti- just about any organism that could make you sick...BUT.....all these warnings not to ingest it. So, why not? Well it could cause this, that and something else and stron warnings... Do Not take it internally. All my research yielded these conclusions without any explanation as to how they reached those conclusions. So I dig deeper. Will it hurt me if I make an oregano salad and eat 4 cups of oregano in 1 sitting. Not one of the "medical sites" that warned against ingesting oregano EO, mentioned that we should limit out oregano daily consumption. So, i treated myself. A single drop of oregano EO, on a tablespoon of honey, 3 times a day. It's very bitter but.....the first time, in my life, I got over a sinus infection without using an antibiotic. The only cautionary thing I would say about using EO internally, research it thoroughly and make sure it is a good one, not something made for aromatherapy.
For your dehydrated chili, how long does it take to reconstitute with the whole beans? I might try dehydrating some as I don’t have a pressure canner yet. Thanks 😊
I was taught to never judge someone mispronouncing a word because it means they likely learned by reading. Especially now in this time of all the video content.
Hi Heidi. The quilt is beautiful! Hopefully the person correcting the pronunciation was coming from a place of well meaning. I welcome it myself as long as the person isn’t nasty about it. We all continue to learn new things and shouldn’t be made to feel dumb about it.
@@RainCountryHomestead I figured they were being mean spirited or you would not have had to call them out. Shame on them. I’m absolutely sure they have been mistaken before themselves.
Yes I do and if happened to listen to the opening statement about what what this particular once a week video style is about, you would understand its purpose, one of the several people to lead people back to the specific step by step videos I have as new people may not know they are out there. At that point I then link to them in the description box to make them easy to find. My This~N~That videos are published only on Mondays. I also use them to answer questions that have come in through the week and more.
the way the English language is butchered more and more, pronunciation does not even bother me anymore. I hear it and giggle and believe you me, some channels give me lots to giggle, sometimes headshaking too. Most giggles are from Germans trying to speak English. I really enjoy Brit. English channels, like music to my ears 😃 So never stress about pronouncing a word differently!!!! Should I put together a picture of my 30 bottles of vinegars???
Seriously! People mispronounce words all the time. The important thing is, we know what you meant, and I did. In the grand scheme of things, no big deal. Move along people. 😂

My guess would be that freezing breaks down the cell wall, and with that damages, the part that causes fermentation to occur.
Yes, this was a thought I had since it does something similar to meats that have been cooked thus making them dehydrate up crisp
Heidi i can't wait to make fermented eggs.
Woooh for making mistakes~
It would be interesting to see if the chemicals (that they may spray on) transfers into the finished products.
Always Enjoy your creativeness in the kitchen. Could fermented eggs be used in baking recipes, like the fresh or dehydrated if they are mashed? Thanks
Raw eggs are needed for cakes, breads, and cookies so I doubt it.
One minute in and now I’m hungry
Yes, the fermentation starter should help. I assume you are setting the heating pad on the lowest setting?
@@RainCountryHomestead Gotcha! I will try it. Thank you Heidi.
Do you have info. about how to resolve stomac acid problems?
My husband uses baking soda for too long I believe.
Believe it or not, some people find relief with an organic raw vinegar. It can be store bought apple cider or homemade of any variety. Here is the video I did on herbs and more for digestion health: ruclips.net/video/QWspFfmDAYo/видео.html
Hello
I thought about purchasing Jase medical emergency kit. Was wondering are there herbs to make an antibiotic kit? If you're unable to discuss on this platform, can I email you? Thank you.
Here is a list of natural antibiotics: ruclips.net/video/BMIuJb06PcU/видео.html
Thanks 😊
Once cooked beans have been dehydrated, they rehydrate quite quickly. I would say 5 minutes tops
@@RainCountryHomestead oh wow, that’s fast! Thank you.
No, they were not, I know the difference, that person was telling me that since I could not pronounce it right, I did not know anything about it.
@@RainCountryHomestead I figured they were being mean spirited or you would not have had to call them out. Shame on them. I’m absolutely sure they have been mistaken before themselves.
FDA stands for Funds Driven Administration 🤥
No kidding!
Ear regardless hehehe. We know what you mean.

If someone mispronounces a word you know they read...lol. I mispronounced calendula for years till I started watching RUclips 😊
That was another one I also mispronounced for quite some time! haha
Can’t stand the grammar police!
I can’t eat breakfast. Stomach just not ready for it.
I love your content! Yep, heard the mispronounced word… but who cares?! ❤😂❤😂
Do you actual do any step by step tutorials or just talk?
However many you feel led to set out and photograph :)
@@RainCountryHomestead 😂
Seriously! People mispronounce words all the time. The important thing is, we know what you meant, and I did. In the grand scheme of things, no big deal. Move along people. 😂
I am feeling the need for a freeze dryer. Someone talk me out of it. 😅
If you lived close, I’d share! I love mine, and use it often..
Did you watch my videos on why I will not own one?
