In one the the guy's books, might have been Charlie's, he explains that during the filming of this scene the pants were rubbing Elvis the wrong (right?) way and Elvis laughed about it and said they would probably catch it and edit it out. However, he was embarrassed to find out they left it in. Pretty funny. What a bonus for us teenage girls watching the movie!🤣😂 Anyway, Seph, you are such fun. Love your sense of humor and delightful comments. Thanks!!👍❤️💃🕺
He was an instinctive dancer, and like everything else he did it well. What couldn't he do? I keep saying God did a little dance around him. Thanks for your always great reaction.
@@jayceewaldner8505 yes! He did! It was a story by one of the Memphis mafia, can’t remember which one. Elvis ran up to him after the scene and told him what happened with little Elvis! 😂
What makes this even more special is he never performed this again. It was written especially for this Special - he probably knew that it captured that specific moment in time and probably knew he couldn't better this. Or maybe he just didn't want it to lose its prestige. I know Col Parker thought it was too political and he didn't want Elvis to sing it! Great reaction ❤ oops ....comment was for If I Can Dream 😂
D.What da??? You don't miss anything do ya. This is your first X- rated reaction. That snoring story you shared I was literally rolling on the floor lol. Had a really "hard" time concentrating on the song, to many distractions. This has gotta be one of your top 3 funniest E reactions. Suggest you change your channel name to The Seph Show. How can something this good be free?
You sure don't miss anything 🤣🤣🤣Very observant. I've read that specific issue somehow wasn't noticed before the final print. And it was decided no one would notice, as reshooting it would cost too much money. Have no idea whether that's true story - just passing it on for what it's worth.
I told you I'd let you know when you reacted to the part that my sister and I would act out, my sister played Elvis ( she was taller, had dark hair, I was short had blonde hair). We drove our parents nuts doing this part😂😂😂❤️
@@SephPlays Ha ha good pun. Do you know I watched this film at the cinema and on tv and never noticed anything untoward until watching a RUclips video where it was being mentioned!! Shows how observant I am - think I was more intent on looking at his gorgeous face!
I think with the dawning of digital media. Things like this becomes more noticeable. The ability to pause easily pause on a frame and zoom in, wasn't fully possible until about 20 years ago ish. Unless you were wealthy haha
Little Elvis 😂 He couldn't wear underpants and they were very tight ... Let's not mention the end result of his leather trousers during the 68 Special lol
I think the most weird thing is the amount of people who love to give out every detail of Elvis. Disappointed in Steve Binder (Director) for releasing the information about the black leather and never felt the same about Joe Esposito when he insisted on describing every intimate detail of the bathroom scene when Elvis died. In my opinion this sort of information should be kept private. It seems as though every aspect of the life of Elvis is up for sale.
A quote given to Mae West the famous femme fatale of the 1920's -30's as quote Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?” unquote. Again a latin influenced song Elvis always excels at, and a fair assessment by you Seph.
When I watched this movie a few months ago I had to do a double take too!! 😂 Luckily my girls are too young to notice what the bulge was, poor Elvis 🙈 even though it embarrassed him it didn't deter his fans in fact the opposite I'm sure! 😂
@@SephPlays haha! They liked it Happened at The Worlds Fair better but they loved the parts with Elvis and the little grls especially when he sang Earth Boy with them but mama liked all of it lol! 😍

Elvis didn't like underwear. It is said he started wearing them on stage after he ripped out the seat of his jumpsuit. I think I heard something once about him getting turned on in one of his love scenes and they had to re-shoot the scene. Don't know if that's true. No big deal though. It happens, doesn't it? I wonder how that got past the censors.

The scene included The Walls Have Ears song which came halfway through the film. The King and Laurel danced around a small set full of moving objects and a collapsing ceiling while sensuously dancing together over the song. However, Joe’s book tells of a panicked Elvis revealing he was not wearing underwear beneath his black trousers before whispering: “Hey Joe, these pants don’t feel right. They’re rubbing me the wrong way.” Unfortunately for Elvis the director of the picture, Norman Taurog, didn’t notice his physical reaction and therefore did not stop filming. Even worse for the star, because the scene was so intricately designed, reshooting was not an option. Between takes Elvis ran off set and sat down on the nearest chair, Joe revealed. Elvis whispered to his boss: “Did you see that? Did you see what happened below the belt? “Damn pants were rubbing me the wrong way and I couldn’t stop the feeling. Geez, I hope they don’t have to reshoot this. The ceiling might get me this time.” Joe had his fun and told the other guys on set, but ultimately tried to calm Elvis down. He told the star not to worry too much about it. He suggested the dark colour of the trousers would cover up any sight of Little Elvis. He was wrong. When Joe took Elvis to see how the final cut of the film was shaping up the next day, his excitement was obvious on screen. Joe says Elvis cried: “Hot damn! Will you look at that? I was hoping it wouldn’t show because the pants were black. But there it is, sticking out like a sore thumb… well, sort of like a sore thumb.” Joe responded: “Don’t worry, E. Maybe they’ll be able to cut it out in the editing.” The King was in full-blown panic mode, adding: “Man, I hope they don’t see it and decide to cut it off before we get out of here.” And, unfortunately for the singer, the worst happened next. Joe wrote in his book: “I couldn’t believe it when the movie came out. There was Elvis, dancing around the apartment with Little Elvis at attention and aimed directly at Laurel! “Of course, you had to be looking for it to notice. I’m guessing that only the few of us who knew were looking in that area and saw Little Elvis in action.”

Elvis’ road manager Joe Esposito told the unbelievable story about the scene in his book, Good Rockin’ Tonight.
They’re rubbing me the wrong way.”

The ceiling might get me this time.”
Joe had his fun and told the other guys on set, but ultimately tried to calm Elvis down.
But there it is, sticking out like a sore thumb… well, sort of like a sore thumb.”
