+Kim Chi yum yum going to eat some ginger now. does this list also apply to the fresh pickled ginger I buy? (like you get at a sushi restaurant). I also buy fresh ginger roots to cook with sometimes, but I just love snacking on the pickled ginger. I've always known about the nausea thing, that's why some people claim ginger ale is good for that, but not really if it's bottled artificially flavored crap.

I have been using the ginger for inflammation, I drink 2 to 3 cups of tea per day, I use crystallized or candy ginger, a little bit of powder ginger, cayenne pepper, turmeric, lemon juice, green tea, raw honey and hot water. This didn't do much for my inflammation but my ugly varicose veins has greatly improved I had 2 very large clusters just below both knees, on both thighs and the backs of my legs, The varicose veins are almost completely gone on the left leg, they are diminishing a little slower on the right leg But I'm just so grateful because these legs have come a mighty long way. Very informative video, Thanks for sharing.

About 2 - 3 thin slices of ginger, a small pinch of cinnamon powder or a 1/2 inch length of dried cinnamon stick, to 1 to 2 cups of boiled hot water. Multiple amount of ingredients and water accordingly to the amount of tea you like to make. If use dried cinnamon stick in boiling, no need to add more because boiling uses it fully.
Add a little more water for evaporation if going to boil them for 10 minutes. Because the tea tastes spicy hot to some people, some honey may be added for sweetness.

Hope lots of people will hear or see this video. True to itself, at my age now, at 60 we had taught by our mom since childhood that ginger brew is the best drink we had, instead of coffee. And till now, you can find it in my fridge at least half a kilo ginger till I finished and get new one. A reason, that I grow now ginger even in pots, but will take a year to harvest a fully grown ginger.

I saw a doctor talking about using a drop of honey and mix it with Ginger powder as an activator and you use this paste on your belly button , but you need to clean the belly button with soap and water first. I used this mix and put a tape over it to stop dripping . this mix works as a cleanser , My first surprise on the same day I had cold mainly cough . My blood pressure went down, my left shoulder got very tired and there was a nerve adjustment. Now every thing is back to normal. I was amazed at the results.

The Ginger Tea really works, I currently have the flu and I have been blowing my nose for the past 4 days. I have already went through four boxes of Kleenex tissue, I got a real bad cough last night, stuffy nose, and hard to breathe. I made some ginger tea with honey and lemon, and in less than 30 minutes my nose opened up like the Red Sea, and no coughing, no stuffy nose all throughout the night I slept like a baby. Now it's the AM and I need to make another batch because I know it may take a few days for this to go away, but ginger root is the truth. I will be using it more often now.

not all gingers are the same. When peeled, its colour ranges from light yellowish to beige. Some are much more aromatic, very hot to the tongue when eaten raw, while some are just plain, depending on the species. I eat breakfast with a big chunk of raw ginger. It improves blood circulation and warm my body, as a result I seldom catch cold.

      @serpentarius51 8 лет назад +1

+Rose Stanford That depends on WHERE the tuna came from. If it's from the Pacific coast, it's full of radiation from Fukishima in Japan.
Shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, is bad as well, because BP dumped a crap load of Corexit, which makes the oil, (which has NOT been capped, btw) to sink to the gulf floor. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean that it's cleaned up.

This is what I do to make it and I find it's much more flavorful. I use an old fashion empty Pyrex glass coffee pot to make this tea (remove the glass funnel and coffee grind holder) so I can see it's strength. You can use anything you want, just as long as you can safely put it on your stove's burner
Take several slices of Ginger, dice it up and put it in to a tea ball and place it into the pot. Boil your water and add it to the pot and put your burner on about 4 or 5 to get that tea ball heated up. Once the tea ball heats, it itself will start to bubble and release the ginger's benefits out into the water (understand, you don't want the water to boil, just the Ginger root in the tea ball) - Once the tea ball starts to bubble you can turn it down to about 3 - 3 & 1/2 and let that continue to bubble for 'at least' 30 minutes. I then snap a cinnamon stick in half and drop it in (hitting the heat, it too will bubble) so feel free to turn it down to around 2 or 3. Let it sit for about 20 more minutes and you're all set. You can add Honey to this process and as it 'reduces' it'll strengthen and caramelize the honey a bit adding nice flavor but I prefer to just stir in a touch of honey to my cup at the end instead. The longer it sits the more it reduces. The more it reduces, the stronger it gets! I love it and when you do have it at a strength you like, you can, if you wish, take it off and let it cool, pour it into a glass picture and chill. Toss in some lemon even, if you wish.
With all the benefits of Ginger & Honey, adding the cinnamon (over time) will also knock the weight right off ya' as well. Nearly every morning I start my day off with the creation of this wonderful gift. Enjoy!

Ginger really helps, my mom (76yo) who always takes medications for her heart and high blood pressure (it remained normal since drinking ginger tea) doesnt take her meds now - only when she goes out ballroom dancing or do some activities for preventive measures. She can sit in front of the pc web surfing reading stuff for 3-4 hrs without feeling pain in her back, last time she wont last 30min. She started drinking ginger tea 3 mos ago - morning before eating anything and before going to bed. It's healthy and will not bore holes in your pocket. I myself started drinking ginger tea, keeps my headaches away.

great video, but I would suggest a change to the final recipe given. add the raw honey at the very end because temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the temp inside a beehive, can damage the natural enzymes and other beneficial nutrients. this also touches on a topic that we should all be aware of: most store-bought honey (which probably doesn't say "raw") is likely from China and involves shady practices. As always, buy local, please.

I boil ginger root with cinnamon and sliced apples for 10 minutes. Leave it over night and then put it in a bottle. Warm up as tea when I want it. I refrigerate the tea in the bottle. A Dominican friend of mine gave me the recipe.

The root is pungent, but mixes nicely with almost anything. This morning I began to chew about a teaspoon sized piece and then bit into a piece of chicken. It was fine and considering the miriad benefits available now, I feel like I just beat the system. I just got over a serious infection and had little energy to exercise, but today I did twice what I usually do and still had tons of energy left! I know it's this miracle and if it tasted like gasoline, I'd still eat it. It's a cheap MIRACLE!

I use it on just about everything. I buy the fresh turmeric roots in a Chinese store, cut it into slices, let it dehydrate & grind it to powder. I keep it in my freezer. This way I get the REAL stuff not a filler.
For arthritis avoid all nightshade plants: eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes. Also avoid peanut butter and all vegetable oils.
Cook with coconut oil and lard. Use olive oil, flax seed oil and hemp oil on salads. Avoid carbs when possible (sugar, bread, noodles, rice, pasta...)

My ginger recipe. I make a ginger smoothie. I take 1 bunch of parsley, handful of kale, 2 celery stalks, 2 radishes, 1 whole lemon peeled, 1 apple, half a peach. Blend all these ingredients in your blender for 5 minutes, use a very fine strainer to remove the pulp, pour over some ice cubes. Makes about 75 ounces, always drink your ginger raw and your greens and other ingredients raw, you'll get the full power of these foods. Tastes delicious, I drink it 5 days a week.
