This is some of the best sounding death metal to my ears despite the lo-fi production. Actually I think the simple recording captures the intensity. Its a shame there is not more material from bands like Amputation, Old Funeral, Embryonic etc. Something about that early scene stands out to me.
Demonaz, uses Immortal for his ice , freezing, snow demons theme songs. He uses Demonaz (the band) for his viking theme songs. I think he should give Amputation another try for death theme songs.
