Welcome back Maria and Irina ❤ the metal gods have spoken 🎸😂 Ozzy Osborne and Black Sabbath my favorite band. this was a live recording from 1970 i am a surferboy from California and i still have my long hair 🏄♂️
Hi Maria! Welcome! God I love this song! I've loved it since the first time I heard it in the 70s. It's chunky sounding and upbeat. The distortion on the guitars fills all the spaces and the drive of the drums all together make you want to slam your head up and down to the beat. That's real music. Ozzy's voice over the top brings it all together. Pure metal, hard rocking jam! Also one of my favorite guitar solos.
Rock bands of the 1970's were always high on drugs, drunk, or both. There were too many great artists who died early because of those issues. I don't know much about Maria, but Damn, She is pretty! Irina, I hope that you can set up your system to where both of you can be seen when you both react together... It would be a "pleasant" experience for your followers 🤩
Black Sabbath has many good songs. I'm Tim and I was a Musician for years, now I'm 65, I was a Keyboard player in the 1970s and this was a Banger then and now 🤘Guitarist Tony Iommi is now 76 & Singer Ozzy Osbourne is 75
In Mid 1970's about 50 young FRENCH students stayed in our town, in AMERICA. These French kids would play BLACK SABBATH. "IN A GADDA DA VIDA". Over and over all night long. for 3 weeks. and DANCE to it...GREAT DANCERS. The FRENCH made dancing like a sport. I learned to dance from them. (Traditional 1950's style early Rock and Roll)
The USA got colour TV early, but in the UK only some TV was broadcast in colour in 1970 and you had to own a special more expensive TV. Many British people didn't get colour TV until the prices came down over the next few years. I'd guess it was the same in most countries.
The beauty of rock music and metal/hard rock in particular, is the drive and power in the performance of the music. Rock musicians in general and metal/hard rock musicians in special are not subject to writing music mainly to hit the charts. They write music from their heart and soul and that's what intrigues the listener to follow them over the years. No one-hit wonder here. Black Sabbath with the front man Ozzy Osbourne is considered the godfathers of Metal.
Maria Back in the late 60's to 70's, guys worn their hair long as a protest to establishment. Black Sabbath with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and of course, Ozzy started out in mid 60's. They took the name from a movie called Black Sabbath. BS is considered as one of the pioneers of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Back in late 70's, Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath, and Ozzy went on successful solo career. His replacement was iconic singer, Ronnie James Dio. Few years ago, Ozzy reunited with Black Sabbath for a final tour. Right now, Ozzy is kinda semi-retired from touring. Continue on the rabbit hole of Ozzy and Black Sabbath with the help from Irina. Da Svidania!
One or the great metal songs of all time, back then all these guys had long hair know as “hair bands” popular back in the 70,s most theses guys were skinny because they were on drugs. Nice to see you again Mariya. And Irina hope Monty is all better ❤
Welcome back, Maria. I can pretty well guarantee that drugs were involved with Black Sabbath. As far as the video being in black and white? No big deal. Half the country still only had black and white televisions anyway, and if it had it been in color, nobody would notice. No parents were going to let their angels watch something like this. Now, if they weren't home, you'd crank this baby up on your stereo TV console and listen out in the yard. Wasted days and Mellow nights. Hug Montana
Trivia for you laddies, that's Ozzy Osbourne singing in this video. He was about 22 years old here. Now that you've heard this version of this song, try out Type O negative's version of Paranoid.
Ozzy Osbourne is the eldest vocalist from hard rock yet in activity. He begun with Black Sabbath, but also had a solist career. A curiosity: Black Sabbath are British as they were the Beatles, and they begun playing in Hamburg (Germany) in the same club where the Fab Four (The Beatles) begun.
I love this! I don't understand people who are annoyed by reactors stopping the song to talk; we can listen to the song any time we like! I'm here for the commentary. The Surfers comment made me genuinely laugh out loud. Black Sabbath are from Birmingham which is in the middle of England and as far from the sea as you can get here and combined with the Brummie accent and Birmingham in general just makes the idea of Birmingham surf culture hilarious. Young men just wore there hair long at that time in Britain. I have long hair now! I don't surf, though my grandma did in the 1940s. But NOT in Birmingham!! She was also from the Midlands but did that in Cornwall on the south-west coast.
I would love to see Maria watch this Sabbath video again and give us more input. I've been a Black Sabbath fan for a long time and this is still one of my favs I enjoy listening to loud! In this video you have Tony Iommi (guitar), Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Bill Ward (drums) & Geezer Butler (bass guitar). Rock On Ladies!! 🤘🤘
Great review glad you enjoyed it. Paranoia is the irrational and persistent feeling that people are 'out to get you' or that you are the subject of persistent, intrusive attention by others. This unfounded mistrust of others can make it difficult for a person with paranoia to function socially or have close relationships. It can be caused by the use of errr...substances.
You should have put Irina in the thumbnail, would have fallen for it for April fools lol. Great video and reaction, hope you're doing well Irina🙏 and had a wonderful easter weekend.
That's a young Ozzy Osbourne. Have you seen him recently? Quite different today. Also has Maria seen Metallica and "Enter Sandman" from the Moscow concert? I'd like to see her react to that.
I need to check and see if they've watched the 1970 live War Pigs performance. Apparently, I've been subscribed for quite a while. I guess I forgot until I noticed this video!
i forgot pink floyd.. they should be on that list.. they r one of the most loved bands in rock history.. fans race to watch anything from their 1994 pulse live album.. those songs and performances r so good, so smooth.. wow… be safe baby
This song was released on August 7th, 1970. I was 12 years old at the time, about to start the 7th grade. In my opinion, this was Black Sabbath's best song. I once watched a hilarious skit on Saturday Night Live, made decades after this song came out, when Ozzy Osbourne had become almost impossible to understand when he talked, due to years of destroying his brain cells by indulging in drugs. It was about recording this song. Everytime they would stop recording, he would babble incoherently, and you couldn't understand a word that he said. As soon as they resumed recording, he would immediately begin singing as clearly as you hear him in this song! I'm surprised that you are doing music reaction videos again, since you told me that you don't get paid for doing them. I'm sorry that you are still too sick to appear on camera. I hope that you regain your health again soon!
The reason for the 'fake music' is that when artists, going back to the Beatles in 1967, long before MTV was born, started making music videos, people wanted to hear the song the same way that it sounded on the radio, or the album. Very few music artists are capable of duplicating that live, as it usually takes many 'takes' when recording a song to get it to sound exactly perfect. Also, in live performances, many artists improvise the songs to amuse themselves, because they get bored playing the same song for the thousandth time, to the point where the song is almost unrecognizable. I stopped following another music reaction channel because she insists on reviewing live performances. Her argument is that it's a fact that any music artist can sound perfect in a studio recording. I will grant her that. I actually prefer perfection!
hey baby.. let me help u some more.. sabbath is early 70s…. groups such as Rush, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighter.. U2… these bands have HUGE fanbases that will race to ur channel… love ya babe, be safe and careful please.. keep ur beauty
Beautiful women just seem to attract more beautiful women...... Hi maria ..... Crazy how that works. Hi Irina, hope the boss is feelin good today, i cant hear him snoring.
“Fake music” - lip syncing. I believe this video was from a TV appearance in Belgium in 1970. At that time it was far more common to lip sync for TV than actually perform live. The singer is Ozzie Osbourne, I would be surprised if you haven’t heard of him.
Hey man I'm like f****** Black Sabbath all the way but this is a common Bob Seger credit card f****** hey Black Sabbath let's say the super not right or I like super not but when my wife's dies changes
If you have long hair people have always associated it with drug use. I wish it was associated with eating snack food. Like man he most really dig potato chips his hair ia so long, get him some cheeto's or something:)
Hello Maria, what a beautiful cutie and love the long dark hair. I was impressed seeing Ozzie belting out the tune obviously much younger then. Irina, I think you may have had a comment video of another band in this era of music called Metallica when they performed at a festival in Moscow with record shattering attendance numbers and performed Enter Sandman, it was a mind-blowing performance and he (lead singer) had every single one of them hanging on his every word. It was in September 1991, you should show Maria that performance and get her opinion. I laughed when she said small skinny men, and that was kind of that era's physical description of musicians of that era of time.
Black Sabbath Paranoid is one of their best selling albums. The iconic song Iron Man is great. They were the founders of Heavy Metal.
Them and Mountain. Pretty much, yeah.
You're forgetting Blue Cheer.
@@Roborebonzo And The Sonics, who may have actually beat everyone to the punch.
The Wizard next x
And Deep Purple
Excellent! I still listen to Sabbath every now and then. They were true pioneers
Not just Rock, Irina, Hard Rock, like no other era, no other genre. Blast off Rock! Let’s go!
"Something old fashioned like.. rock." Man that hurts. And it's sad that rock is no longer a thing.
Welcome back Maria and Irina ❤

@Contrarian308 I'm never gone that fast, maybe 130ish, but 150 is a whole other world I'm sure:)
"People seems so happy". We were happy. We thought we could change the world and make it better. Little did we know.
Maria looking beautiful as ever nice to see you. 1970 rock bands were always high out of their minds.
Maria is a cutie. Glad she liked the music.
Very nice to see you both.

Gorgeous young lady. Cool personality as well.
I have that album on vinyl. My mom bought it when it was first released and now it and many other albums from that time are in my collection.
Irina, I laughed when you said older. Maria did a great job! Good song choice. 🎵 ROCK ON!

1970's: Musicians perform their own music
