Accessibility to your weapon outweighs concealment every time. That aside, what you said about people not being very observant was well illustrated in that scenario. The bad guy carried a shotgun into that church - and nobody noticed.
Same way here only full size unless I'm driving long distance then I carry the J frame magnum always had the same issues trying to explain hell even demonstrate that you can conceal full size no problem
I've always carried a full size handgun, for over 25 years, and no one has ever noticed. Not once. They may seem cumbersome, or maybe overkill to some, but I carry for defense, not comfort, and if I ever need to defend myself I want a big gun. Practice a lot with whatever you carry, and especially drawing. It isn't a weapon until it is in your hand. Thanks for the words of wisdom, Mr H.
I agree 100% and it is good to see you! I would like to say that man saved lives and was willing to try! His method of carry more or less made him a decoy and he never had a chance. He probably knew that but, did it anyway and that allowed the guy with the 3:00 to have extra time to dirt nap that trash! God Bless👍🇺🇸
BTW - I'm going bite the bullet and spend the money on a Kramer holster. I want to start carrying a four inch Model 10 again and that mid rise, straight drop holster looks secure and concealable.
Thanks for the advice! I carry OWB exclusively, normally a G19, and have never been noticed, even by law enforcement. Cover garment is either an untucked tee or button down shirt when warm, or with an unzipped jacket in winter.
Morning Mr. Holster, decisions.... The decisions we make today or will make when we walk out the door each day is one we will regret or realize we made the right decision. Well it's good to see you doing videos, keep them coming buddy. Oh yeah I didn't win your AK whomp whomp whomp, oh well it went to a good cause. Haha there's a few reading moments you'll never get back. Adios Amigo, for now.
For the last few years I've been carrying concealed a Glock 41, which is the longslide .45ACP and haven't had anyone notice it. Also a spare mag and a knife on my belt. It's a heavy carry but I found a great item years ago called suspenders. I'm 58 years old so I can wear suspenders. Also i've had training class with it, shot about 2 cases of .45, 2000 rounds and I know the gun.
Good morning mister holster. Your friend Ted here from Texas. You make good sense with that video. You know what you're talkin about. I was happy to see the video. I hope Jack is doing well. Stay safe my friend stay warm and I always carry your weapon. That's what I do. Carry mine for 30 years as well. Till the next video have a good day
I carry a full sized handgun pretty much every day. It's normally my 4th generation Glock 20 10mm, my Springfield TRP Operator .45 ACP, my CZ SP01 Shadow 2 9mm, my Smith and Wesson 686+, or sometimes in certain necessary situations(and this is pretty much the only gun I carry that isn't full size or "compact") my Springfield Hellcat OSP.
You are correct!!! I carry a 38 special, or a 1911, or a HK45 in 3 O’clock vertical drop holster on a really really good belt OWB holster. I saw him trying to sweep his sport coat and never looked like he even was able to draw his weapon
I used to worry about printing when I first started carrying. I have cared less and less every year. What was eye-opening... during deer season, I will open carry my Colt Delta Elite because of what I wear and I don't want it too far buried. I actually went into more and more places this year during deer season with this setup, seeing if people would notice. I don't think anyone even really noticed me OPEN carrying... so I am not too worried anymore when I conceal my Glock 19X with just a t-shirt over it.
I carry a few different gun depending on summer or winter. But practice me draws and acquisition prior to switching. Nobody notices even in New York or New Jersey
Great to see you this year sir excellent showing loved it and iam glad you got the whole seven minutes in sir phones lite poles and the occasional car Hannah thank for the morning sir
just spot on Mr H ! I went back and watched the vid again, because I hadn't realized how deep the guard was carrying... certainly making me rethink the way I carry my LCR.. thanks so much !
You just convinced me to change to an outside the waistband holster from the IWB I was wearing as soon as I finished watching the video. Thank you and happy new year.
I think the reason most people don’t want to carry a full size gun is that they want to change their wardrobe to fit the gun. My one J frame holster is canted because I wear it cross draw when driving so it doesn’t get hooked up in the seatbelt.
But, they assured me that if I bought that holster, my gun would be as un-noticeable as the footsteps of a navy seal... Thanks for the good advice sir. Hope your propane guy makes it in.
thank you again for sharing your wisdom and expertsie, every minute of my life learning from you is a minute well spent. now that it's winter here in nc, although a warm one so far, i can probably get away with a full sized ccw. i may go out and practice tomorrow with the 9 o'clock, i'm a lefty, vertical draw.
Carried a Glock 23 on duty for 10+ years. And off duty in an IWB at 4 o'clock under a bloused shirt. No one ever noticed that I'm aware of. And yes, you are right. People are stupid. They never see things about them. Guy who was shot should never have tried to draw under the circumstances. And I'm not saying he was stupid. Just he didn't think tactically.
Mr Holster unfortunately we live in age where supposed grown men would rather listen to “fashion advice” and be “tacticool” than listen to people that who have actual real life experience.
Mr Holster AKA Mr common sense. I have been carrying Revolvers OWB no thumb break for 37 years . Fast draw and nothing better at contact distance. If it turns into a wrestling match nothing better than a internal hammer revolver .
RIP Scott. Your great advise will live on for generations. Thank you, Sir.
Accessibility to your weapon outweighs concealment every time. That aside, what you said about people not being very observant was well illustrated in that scenario. The bad guy carried a shotgun into that church - and nobody noticed.
Praying that all the folk who enjoy your content will see you and your Mrs share with us for a long time to come.
Rest in Peace Mr Holster - we miss you already
I agree with you. Poor situational awareness and the inability to quickly access and fire your firearm can cost you your life.
Same way here only full size unless I'm driving long distance then I carry the J frame magnum always had the same issues trying to explain hell even demonstrate that you can conceal full size no problem
TCS.....Folks believe what they believe and hard to sway sometimes even from life experiences as good info....

Glad your videos are still available for us to learn and enjoy! You are missed.
Thank you good information.
Well thanks for the excellent 2 cents and the awesome 8 minutes :)
Thank you for your insight and entertainment. God bless you and your family. RIP Sir.

Well said that guy was the real hero he drew the fire his actions and sacrifice saved lives that day
I carry either a Colt Government or Commander in a strong side belt holster concealed, have for 27 years now.
Solid advice.
BTW - I'm going bite the bullet and spend the money on a Kramer holster. I want to start carrying a four inch Model 10 again and that mid rise, straight drop holster looks secure and concealable.
I try to make the right decisions, but it ain't easy.
Great advice!

Yep! Practice, practice then get training! And practice some more.
Bingo,...and know when to hold them and when to fold them ;)
Thanks for the advice Mr H.
Outside the waistband and on the belt. That's me. Good advice and this is something that needs to be discussed. I appreciate your experience
Winter makes concealment so much easier. You have a lot of wisdom.
I miss that wisdom.
30 years experience yes this man knows what he is talking about..Thanks Mr Holster...

Your right, people dont notice anything.... Solid points MrH!
Even when people are looking they don’t see.
Good points
It appears to me Mr. Holster, You're right and you ROCK!
God bless you Mr. Holster . God be with you in your hard times.
About the same as an ankle holster! Good luck getting to your gun in a situation like this!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge you've gained over time , learning to be prepared at all times . Tell everyone I said Hello !
Well said, Mr. Holster!

All my holsters are vertical drop. Had one forward can’t like FBI and never got used to it.
You are 100% correct. I never cover any gun with more one layer and it has to be free of any obstruction. Your looking healthy by the way.
Great point!
I carry a few different gun depending on summer or winter. But practice me draws and acquisition prior to switching. Nobody notices even in New York or New Jersey

I agree with what you are saying 100%.
Glad to see you....... As always first rate common sense advise.
I carry inside the waistband in public. And outside at the farm and when riding the 4 wheeler.
Goodbye my friend.
Happy New Year MR Holster
Let’s hope 2020 is a fantastic year for the three of you guys.
Cheers Famo59 👍🤓🍺⛏
Sage advice!
Great info from a very good man. //ji Salem, Oregon
But, they assured me that if I bought that holster, my gun would be as un-noticeable as the footsteps of a navy seal... Thanks for the good advice sir. Hope your propane guy makes it in.

Dropped by to say hello friend.

Great video and advice brother
Great information and advice Mr Holster thank you!
Great subject and video
Mr Holster unfortunately we live in age where supposed grown men would rather listen to “fashion advice” and be “tacticool” than listen to people that who have actual real life experience.
hear, hear!
Good, comman sense advice.
It seems to be a culture of printing phobia, I’m guilty of this.
i always carry on the belt on the hip.
👍👍👍
Mr Holster AKA Mr common sense. I have been carrying Revolvers OWB no thumb break for 37 years . Fast draw and nothing better at contact distance. If it turns into a wrestling match nothing better than a internal hammer revolver .
There will be a next time.
I always carry my pork rinds outside the waistband...people laugh at me when I carry it inside the waistband at 6 o'clock 🤣
I sure hope you are ok. No video in a week or so.
What was your line of employment while carrying full size concealed for 30 years?
If I remember right, in one of he's early videos he was a PI, and a bodyguard.
Rest in peace Mr. Hoster
I like to keep mine in my top breast pocket. Little; but packs a punch! (Ruger LCR.)
I carry a glock 19 the same way
