Milling Applewood lumber with the Timber Tuff jig.

I decided to mill a small apple log from a tree I cut down last year to see what the grain and coloring would look like. Not sure what I'll use it for once dry, but probably smaller ornate projects.

That is some beautiful lumber. What are you planning to make with it? Do you air dry it or kiln dry it.

I'm going to air dry it. Once dry I'll probably resaw it with the bandsaw to get some book matched pieces. As of yet I don't have any plans for the wood, but I have plenty of time to think about it while it dries out.
