You should visit it but only between the months of September to March as the weather is good at those months. It is where many westerners go to settle finding an affordable paradise.

There seems to be more Bangalis and Indian works in Oman. I wish they could let Yemenis in to Oman as they speak the same language but I understand their reasons. At least they should let the South Yemenis in as they are on their door step.
as as understand from locals that indians and Bangladeshi people understand the culture and avoid to do crime or tricking people as the law is very strict. but as for Yemenis there were many unfortunate incidents as well as the culture of war and hate and abuse that Omanis do not want to bring to their own country so they try to keep Yemenis out as possible.

Jordan is nice too - however, Oman is much nicer and quieter and more expensive
