This is a great example of what Hindsight Bias looks like. You already know the out come of the games so the way you "rank" the draft is going to be 100% spot on every time, and wouldn't you know how you analyzed the draft is 100% on point. Picking the winning draft every time. A bit dishonest if you ask me.
This is a huge L for GenG. They went in with confidence knowing that they beat them 17 times or what ever the case is. Knowing they are 4 time champions and are on track for the Golden Road. You could see they were under A LOT of pressure during the game 5 drafts when they paused it. Unfortunately the pressure doesn’t let up here. They felt defeate close to worlds they felt the pressure. And now feel more when they are expected to win worlds to redeem themselves for this finals lost. Plus the worlds patch nerfed most of their most played champions so it’s going to take a lot of adjustments to come back
I believe that claiming Hanwha Life Esports is the best team in the LCK is incorrect. Winning a series does not make you the better team on the whole. This is the first series Hanwha Life Esports has won against GenG in 19 series, including two during summer regulars season and then a 3-1 during playoffs. Claiming that Hanwha Life Esports was the better team the whole split is like claiming that JDG was worse than T1 at worlds last year: they weren’t. GenG is still probably the best team in the LCK, regardless of whether or not they won the series against Hanwha Life Esports. Finally, this points to the faults of the “double elimination” format of the LCK, where GenG were punished for losing later. In a perfect world there would be two best-of-five matches, or at the very least a weighted best-of-seven. Fwiw I’m not even a massive GenG fan. I rooted for Hanwha Life Esports this series.
zeka gapped chovy lol chovy focusing every sec of the game how will he farm cs and wait for his team to decide for him while zeka decides which play to make next
I think that Doran can struggle with many champions, however Jax seems to be his best in recent times, which is why they blinded it in game 4. Due to Jax receiving overall buffs in 14.18, I see hle being buffed in top lane. If sylas becomes meta too then hle are likely to at least reach finals
Jax buffs imply a nerf to hle.Explanation : As is rn doran is only Consistently performing on jax so everyone becomes aware of this fact.If doran had been exceptionally good on some 2nd champion it would have been an actual buff or a neutral stance. So he will for sure tank jax ban on 4,5 OR they first 3 pick jax which would then lead to one of his mid/jungle/support tanking an extra ban because lets be real no one bans top in first 3 rotation unless its renekton
This analysis, like many of your others, relies on hindsight bias. You don't even factor in champs pick rate, win rate, or a players comfortability on different champs. Does elk getting a penta on jhin with the rfc statikk build in the lpl finals make jhin good? Or what about viper winning with jhin literally the day before against T1?
