- We had a blast going to random neighborhood in Wisconsin to see Bill Davis' garage coral farm! Now THIS garage is AWESOME!
Bill travels around the country to various coral frag swaps with Reefing USA. If you see him at a show, now you know where all his goodies come from! Tyler and I loved seeing all his zoanthids, SPS, LPS and we especially loved his the HUGE indophyllia in the 60g display tank!

Would you be able to tell us what color/ number of bulbs he uses on his fixtures, link on Amazon is for plants not corals. Greatly appreciate the help.
Yes, these are technically fixtures for plants. You would need to purchase coral bulbs for them. He uses ATI Blue Plus in all his fixtures.

Miss you too! She's pumping out bubble algae pretty good! lol. It's going to be replaced soon so I'm using it as a kalkwasser experiment right now.
So, not a garage... a purpose built structure for a coral farm. Lol.
On the other side of the wall is an actual garage. If you look closely you'll see a large wood panel. That panel, when opened, is the garage. So a "multi" purpose structure might be more appropriate. It doesn't roll off the tongue though, ya know?
I love BRS and all but I'm happy to see a video on your channel again.

When I used to live in Chicago I was able to visit that place, just awesome.
Owner and his brother who sometimes go to those various shows with him are just the nicest people in the industry.
Eye Candy Coral is suppose to come to Charleston for show in march, I will be there for sure.

T5s are an underrated option for those on a budget.
The great phase-out will eventually happen though. Out of all the places we visited only 1 used exclusively LED's. Tried and True!
Cheaper up front maybe but over time not so much, you don’t have to get super expensive LEDs like radions either.
I watch a few foreign reef farmers.....all 3 of them have dumped LED and went back to T5 purely for the faster growth and color the only ppl trying to say it's phasing out is BRS ppl.....
@@Sammy31Dee have you tried the orphek lighting systems? A lot of coral growers in my area have switched to them because they mimic t5 spread exactly while still providing adjustability. It’s honestly the best compromise between the two
@Taylor Pinkowski I have neptune skys and they remind me exactly of what my old T5s looked like....flat even spread and incredible growth....
Curious how much he spends on T5 bulbs and what it might sav by going to LEDs.
