Thank you for the video, greatly appreciated. I just watched a short RUclips video that showed multi color strands of embroidery floss knots on a pillow cover. She wanted to duplicate a pillow she saw online for $68. She did it with a $4.99 Ikea pillow for a filler, and a cover she got near it. She said she's never done it before. I commented to her asking if she used French knots, or candle wicking knots, it went too fast for me to see. She wrote back, she's never heard of candle wicking knots before, she thinks she made French knots. She said she had to look up candle wicking knots. I keep forgetting how much information is here on RUclips, so I looked too, and found your video. My cousin used to make candle wicking knots on pillows about 40 years ago. I'm a widow now and have time for crafts to keep me occupied. Thank you so much for the tutorial, very clear directions, and easy to understand. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵🙂✌️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊 🌎☮️🕊️
thank you for making this! My grandma called it "pillow wicking"...she sent me some of her own wicking which is very special to me. Maybe now I'll try it myself!
Hi Connie, I just want to say thank you for teaching the knot left handed. I had been trying to follow right handed instructions but had no luck so I was really pleased I found your video. Thanks again, Noelene
Noelene van Iperen Hi Noelene, Thank you for the positive feedback! It's nice to know that you were able to follow & understand what I was trying to teach. Connie
Thank you for making this easy video. I've struggled with the colonial knot for years but not any longer thanks to your video. Great job.
I just bought a kit from my local charity shop from 1998 ( now is 2022) with candle wicking. I am intrigued to try it. Thank you for your video.

ZOUNDS! I just learned that the French knots I was taught, in the late 80s, were not the knots used in candlewicking. Thank you.

Wow
Does anyone know where to buy candle wicking thread, I'm having a hard time finding some?
Does anyone know where to purchase patterns to transfer onto muslin?
