@@Roccorocco892 P1r is not really a high-reversal rubber but a relatively grippy LP. Not as grippy as P4 and the like but there are much better LP rubbers out there for straight up reversal, even amongst rubbers suitable for defenders.
@@Roccorocco892 For learning I generally recommend Neptune or Neptune Soft in 0.5 thickness, which are cheap but nonetheless effective rubbers produced by Milkyway/Yinhe/Galaxy. Most importantly, both are much easier to use than their premium counterparts. Ideally pair these with a good medium-fast defensive blade (Victas Koji Katshushita or KM Pro; Butterfly Joo Se Hyuk (used, as no longer made) or Diode are good options inter alia). Once you have a good mastery with the budget rubbers, you can stick with it, upgrade to the equivalents (TSP/Victas P1 or Butterfly FL3 if you prefer Neptune; TSP/Victas P4 or Butterflay FL2 if you prefer Neptune Soft) or play around with the sponge thickness. Before tinkering though, you need to have enough basic technique and control. Most club players try to go directly to the pro-rubbers (and you can obviously do that too) but I have found that that tends to end up taking longer to reach a good standard and is also more expensive and with worse results along the way. Which rubber you eventually go for, assuming you reach a very high (semi-pro or close) is I think much more of a personal thing. By then though, you will understand what you need most from a rubber+blade combination and be able to select appropriately.
