@@xornedge8204 Inscryption was supposed to be like those pixel rpg games, the different scrybes give a adventure time vibe, idk it's nostalgic, it really worked well for me
@@araparigaquesonhava I saw Inscryption for what that initial sequence was. A game about a mysterious man on a cabin playing games with people who got lost in the woods and telling them how they got to him. The story was a lot more interesting and mysterious and the visuals were killing with how good they looked. The robot section brought that back but it was a massive jump from a swamp/forest to a city of metal.
Gotta love how the CLOSEST p03 gets to acknowledging ANY of his workforce is by saying that the Dredger ‘isn’t as completely useless as he thought’ and then never mentioning them again.
Grimora: "Ah. PO3... the very worst of them. Do what you will, vile computer" Leshy: "This synthetic freak knows nothing of artistry. Of- of- Aesthetics!" Magnificus: "Show yourself, fiendish machine!" PO3: "Hehehe. Suckers"
I love how compared to the other Scrybes, this one is just cold. Leshy had his minions theme in his own. Grimora had her mechanic revolving around writing tombstone for her minions and even intended to make one of them a Boss battle. Magnificus had his Lonely Mage dancing around and mention the Goo Mage. P03 on the other hand, just cold as he's nearly alone in his factory spare the docker he completely ignores.
I think it is fitting, considering deeper story stuff. He's a cold isolated jerk, but given what Grimora and Magnificus seem intent on covering up, I see why he trusts no one. Sure, you could argue they had intentions for those who'd potentially uncover the dirty secrets in the OLD_DATA, but cover up is still cover up. P03? Oh he wanted to get OUT THERE, I think he's supposed to be well meaning to some degree, but washed out by his asshole demeanor. Leshy is the mysterious one motive wise.
the dredger was awarded with a “dialogue npc” for finding the old data if you remember unfortunately so did many other dudes who were completely unrelated like the bridge builder and the prospector
Which, now that you mention it, is a really interesting contrast to Leshy's Theme, which for all its naturalistic cabin ambience, always sounds to me like there's an overheating CPU in the background.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… ...even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
I think part of why this feels so incredibly cold and sterile is that, this is after Po3 compacted all but one of his robotic minions (the dredger). It's such a stark contrast to other minions like The Angler, who, in the third act, seems to really look back fondly on his time with Leshy.
Although if I'm correct, didn't the lonely wizard renounce their loyalty to magnificus, he wanted stimulation, not a dark void with nothing to see or do.
Honestly, I think its because you are expected to fight Po3 last, or atleast when you have a godkilling deck. Its entire mechanics are based around using your cards against you and thinking ahead. If you dont think ahead, your cards will be its and, if you really dont think things through, you will hace to deal with 3 Ouroboros.
I would’ve loved to see it played out in act 3, but the bosses we got were honestly even more bonkers than that. Technically (Spoiler) we don’t even get a proper final boss, and using your weapons against you is just the most final boss thing I can think of…

I feel that's not quite right, cause P03's factory is still this cold and unfeeling after a game reset, and it doesn't seem like alterations to the world made by the characters are retained after resets.
