Love “the whole family doesn’t have to do this. I’m talking to *You*.” About getting up early. When I began doing that a whole new world opened up to me because from 6:45 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. people literally need me. My kids are 6, 3, & 2. My husband is in his 40’s but he counts as one of the people who needs me most. During those hours, I’m homeschooling, feeding, doing dishes, folding laundry, preparing lunches or snacks, planning activities, managing diapers as well as disagreements, teaching the littles we don’t pull hair or bite... giving baths, putting them to bed. I make coffee at **7:30** and don’t get to drink it until **11:00** every morning. But from 4-7 a.m. I can focus on my work goals, my fitness goals, my own goals, my Bible study. That time is just for me! Once it became a habit and I got a better attitude about it - it’s the thing I *get* to do instead of another set of things I *have to do*. When it ends, I’m always bummed, but I know I can come back during my breaks and I feel better about getting something done than nothing.

I am adding that to my meditation time with God for this unique time in life. I have been asking for what lessons God would have for me and my family to learn. I have also lost 5 lbs during this time and am still going strong. I have been using this time to set myself up.
