Thank you for clarifying that the puck is "let go half an inch before it's snapped." I'm new to hockey and have tried to get an answer if that's what's going on but never had anyone describe it clearly

Everyone teach how to make wrist\snap\slapshots, but nobody never explain what different between 60 Mph shot and 90 mph shot. How to make shot more fast and strong? What need to do? More athletics trainings put extra weight to stick or make movement faster???
