- It's now mandatory to perform two Covid-19 tests after international travel. You're required to perform a test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance, and another test on or after day 8 of your quarantine, to check that you do not have coronavirus. I'm Dr Adam Abbs, and in this short video I'll explain the process of day 2 and 8 testing for Covid.

Genuine question: why do we need to quarantine for 10 days if either day 2 or day 8 tests come back negative?
Because the incubation period of the virus can last from 10 to 14 days. Should be thankful it isn't 14.
I am traveling from India an (amber list countrie) to Guernsey via London, how can book my day 2 and 8 covid 19 test? And where should I book my test in London or Guernsey, my final destination is Guernsey Please help
If you don't have to quarantine
Do you still need the day 2 and day 8 test?
What is the purpose of the test and is it required to physically get OUT of the airport
How do you post/ do the freakin tests if you aren't allowed out the house 🙈 :s?
Exactly!!!!
Is the booking of test being before travelling or after arriving date ?
Is the booking include the british citizens or just for visitors ?
Please answer me
Is this still mandatory? If I were travelling from Australia to the UK would I still need a day 2 and day 8 PCR test although I don't need to quarantine?
How about if I visit the UK for just 1 day and travel back to Netherlands? Do I need also do a day 2 test?
What does Day 2 mean? For example, if I arrive in UK on Sunday it means I have to take the test by Tuesday or by Wednesday?
Sunday, (the day you arrive), is considered day 0. Hence in this instance you should take the test on Tuesday.
@@markbaxx3453 thanks for the reply.
@@markbaxx3453 according to the video arriving day is the day 1, and you says arriving day is 0, so confusing.
@@nusratkhanshinwari1071 he says the first day AFTER ARRIVING. Is day 1
