Cleaning your environment is a responsible thing to do. Since COVID I take disposable sheets, pillow cases, slippers, bed bug spread and traveling cleaning tools and products for bathroom etc.
I do likewise, but I haven't heard about the disposable sheets. Where can I buy and price "king"
I buy the real sheets sometimes. I bring them home sometimes. I don't. I also get their sheets and cover all seating, and I don't care what others think are say I also place their sheets on the floor on both sides of the bed , crazy right and I kick my slippers off one at a time before stepping on the clean sheet...😊

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with cleaning your hotel/airbnb because as you said, you NEVER know how thoroughly the company cleaned. When I was younger it would always be customary for my family to clean our hotel whenever we traveled! We would get to our vacation spot, go buy cleaning supplies, and just CLEAN. Don’t let the haters get in your head. They may be comfortable with dirt and find it threatening to come across a clean black man.
No, you're not tripping. Some people aren't focused on cleanliness as some of us. I grew up with military parents. That's what my mother did, we could never sleep touch anything until it was sanitized down. And now I'm just like that and understand why. You're not tripping because I do the same thing. I was just in my hotel this past weekend and walked into my room. It smelled fresh, and they certainly used bleach, but I still went behind them and cleaned it again.

As someone who cleaned Airbnb they DO NOT clean it good enough. They literally told me don’t do too much just basic. I was like eww. Some people are cheap and will not pay for thorough cleaning. So I’ve cleaned my Airbnb before & bring my own sheets. Yes I have travel sheets. lol

I also clean and disinfect my hotel rooms, and spaces where I eat and sleep, etc. Those cleaning companies and maids don't know how to thoroughly clean. They clean superficially and think spraying cheap air freshener makes the room clean. Man you are not tripping. You care, so do you and forget who has a problem with that. You are obviously moving in the right direction 🎉
As someone who moved to Dallas after college and lived in a downtown high rise for years… I highly recommend it. Uptown has a couple good buildings too. You will not regret it. It’s a great place for networking. AND no, you are not trippin! Keep on cleaning. We live in a time where the bar is low, but that doesn’t mean we have to lower our standards.

From being and housekeeper for hotel and motels, I strongly recommend where ever you stay to re clean, I can't speak on and Airbnd and don't know how they do their cleaning, but I would re clean. In hotel or motels its like spray and wipe sorry that just don't cut it when you have guess with several people staying in a room, and the sheets these maid know how to put some use sheets down tight you think they changed it. Always request for some clean sheets when you check into a hotel or motel an put them on you bed your self, Don't ask for a maid to do it. Do it your self unless you going to sit and watch them put clean sheets on your bed. You do you for your own well being.

I totally agree with you. When me and my husband go on vacation I bring cleaning supplies with me and clean the room we stay in. Even though I'm sure they clean good I just feel more better knowing I gave it a once over. I even clean the room when we leave , I know the house keeping staff only have so much time to do the rooms and I like to leave it neat . They work hard enough as it is. I think you're actually very WISE to clean any place you stay commercially! Housekeeping has only limited time to clean between travelers and people have been known to do strange things in hotel rooms or AirBnBs! You're definitely not wrong!

There’s a woman on RUclips who cleans her hotel rooms when she travels. She even uses her own sheets on the beds. You do what you feel comfortable with.
Also my some got Covid after he stayed at an Airbnb a few years ago. He had a mild case and he’s good now but I can’t say I blame you for cleaning.

I've traveled and moved around a bit, experienced, urban as well as suburban settings, crazy weather patterns . Dallas is pretty okay 👍🏾 once you get used to the weather.

Your friend was trying. We got to love him. You brave to drive a corvette in Dallas. Even in my BMW SUV, it's a scary ride in Dallas. If I was in a small car, I'd be freaking out. I drive through there on my way to Georgia and Florida. It's almost as bad as driving through the mountains in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Everyone has their own opinion of "clean" and nowadays people are so used to not caring and will only do the bare minimum, if that, which is nothing at all. Sounds nasty to me but to each their own.
