On December 28, 2019, 9 CLRV streetcars operated on the 511 Bathurst Streetcar line. This would mark the last day of regular CLRV service in Toronto after 40 years.
Such beautiful equipment, I wish San Francisco had preserved one of these cars...I notice safety upgrades as outward opening doors, no bars on passenger windows...lesson so learned from the terrible tragedy in Chicago 1952...I so hope TTC kept at least one of these units for fan trips and historic display...
