Hello, friends! If you enjoyed the video and wanted to support my channel, I've just started a "Buy me a Coffee" (in my case it would be tea) page which I'll link here: buymeacoffee.com/shawnaexplores but please don't feel any pressure to, the fact you're here and watching already means so much to me 🥰
Getting the press pass was a great idea, judging by the view you had the best seat/stand in the house. The morning of the thunder and lightning had the most beautiful sunrise with all the shades of pinks, purples and reds , it's one benefit of being out and about at the back of 5am is seeing the sunrise over Edinburgh.
Wow! That was awesome Shawna! Brilliant! The Tattoo looked so exciting with the Castle all lit up like that & surrounding everyone. Along with all the Military Bands, Dancers & especially the Pipers in their resplendent Kilts & finery! The Bagpipe music is my absolute favorite though! Hands down! Especially when the Pipers played Scotland the Brave. Marching up & down in rank & file as they do! Spectacular! The lighting at the Tattoo is also truly spectacular! What a thrilling extravaganza! I loved it! Your filming & footage was outstanding here as well. Especially when you went upstairs & got to film all the Pageantry from high above like that. That was also really spectacular! I also loved it when you showed the Pipers piping out of the Tattoo at the end & back along the Streets of the City. What a stirring Exit to end the Tattoo! I really wish I could have been there! However, your sharing your wonderful experience there made me feel like I was. I am deeply trusting that I will be there in Edinburgh very soon, God willing, & then I too will be strolling down the bonnie Streets of this magical City as well. Then, when that day comes, I will also be so thrilled to be able to climb up the Hill there to visit the magnificent Edinburgh Castle & take in the breathtaking views from the esplanade. As well as, be so privileged to enjoy the amazing Tattoo with all the other folks there. Woo hoo! I can't wait for that day! Truly! Thank you Shawna for sharing this thrilling experience at the exciting Edinburgh Tattoo! Blessings to you!
Wow Shawna, such an awesome opportunity! The Military Tattoo looked incredible, and it was so much fun getting your vantage point and perspective 🙌 Gosh, thank you for sharing that. Also, the rest of your video was pure delight as well 😊 I particularly enjoyed your reset in your flat after the unfortunate tram ride. It’s wonderful joining you, and I hope you’re doing well! 🥰
That was very fun Shawna- thanks- and yes Elif Shafak is a fine writer, I recently read her book The 40 Rules of Love. Thanks for taking us to the tattoo! from your California Nana
Great timing, I'd recently caught up on your videos and then a new one comes out 😊. That looked like an excellent show, thanks for sharing. How did you go with the Loop earplugs? I recently got a pair of them and will be tyring them out properly in 2wks for a concert. Unfortunately due to going to lots of loud concerts in my teens & 20s I have tinnitus. Not fun. Oh! And I know just what you mean about packed trams. Here in Melbourne, trams are major transportation and it's so uncomfortable when they get full. On the trains too. I was making my way home the other week, and punters from an AFL game were coming out so it got crazy-full. Had people knocking into me constantly and some guy's armpit 2inc from my face. No thanks! Great to see another video. I have a bit of a busy mind at the best of times and these videos have a soothing effect 😊.
What a fantastic view of the Tattoo. It's never been on my radar before, but it looked fascinating, thank you! It was equally interesting to witness, for the first time, a slightly world-weary/hangry Shawna instead of your usual Zen self! 😄 Since you mentioned Malaysia: if it's not too invasive of your privacy, I'm sure many of us would be so interested in a deep dive on your childhood there - how you navigate both cultures etc.!
Woww this is sooo cool !!! Now I really want to go to Edinburgh even more 😂 the military bands, the dancers and everything looked so interesting! Lovely 😍
What is your favourite part of the tattoo? We have something similar in India at the Waga border actually, the border force puts on a great show there.
Hey there Shawna! I don't know if you know haha but I believe Elif Shafak was/is in Edinburgh for the Book Festival (quote me if I'm wrong 😅). Anyways, I'm glad you had so much fun at the Edinburgh Tattoo! 😊
