I collect wah wah pedals and I must say of the ones I own this is by far my favorite! I really like being able to control 2 different wahs for differetn things. Use to I would have to use a regular Vox for my classic "wah" sound and if I wanted a really DEEP nasty low ended way I'd have to use a bass wah or a Ibanez Weeping Demon. With this I can have both and doesn't take up THAT much space on my board. Mine has never given me a problem and I love it.! :D
I've been using it for a year now. It's a relatively small motion you make with your foot from open to closed wah. Kind of gives you more control of the sound. I like it! Compared to the gull wah and the standard jimi hendrix-wah it's definitely more sophisticated
I just bought this pedal from the stores. I love to play satriani songs....and really love this wah. Best wah pedal on the planet! Definitely useful feature is the deep tone effect.....thanks to vox and satriani.
On the planet being the key... Him and Vai are not from this planet. I just hope they will leave the equipment, the wah and the distortion pedals, when they go back to wherever they came from...

Love the way Jon turned up the blue in this, it makes Joe's eyes look incredible. You can see the difference in the other vidoe where the blue is not enhanced.
I have only the satchurator one. But according to my experiance, the wah pedal need to be first in EVERY effect chain. And the echos and delays are usually the last ones in an effect chain. So the correct order is: Wah-Saturator-TimeMachine. As i can see satch uses the same what i described above. See at 0:24
@ShadowLancer128 I wouldn't call it thin, but the sweep is more bity and more focused on the high end rather than the low end. That's my thoughts anyway.
I'm watching out for a broken one of these. I want the housing so I can build my own custom wah. All the features of the dunlop 535Q or Dime wah, AND a fully functional octave fuzz with mix for dry and affected signal, AND a fully functional univibe circuit. I could get the fuzz and univine into any standard wah, but I want the adjustabilty of the Q. I just wish this had the chrome top but I guess I can do that myself too.
That song at :20 used to be a downloadable song on the vox website for the big bad wah but it's lost I guess. I had it but i lost it along the way damn it's good I wish I could hear it again this is the only way I can hear it now I looked and all the links are done maybe someone who downloaded it will upload it one day.

Hello, from VOX! We've actually had no reports of such quality problems, and there are no known issues with this pedal. Checking in on Harmony Central this morning, the user reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Where did you hear this statistic? Thanks for writing.
I was able to broke mine pedal, had couple of gigs and around 20-30 practice sessions with it (so, lasted less than a year). Cheap plastic/metal parts obviously. Sound was OK. Guy at repair shop told me I was pressing it too hard? And yeah, I am 70 Kg weight.
Only on ebay. Joe still uses it, and the Time Machine delay, but not the Satchurator or Ice 9 OD, as far as I'm aware. He dropped Vox or they dropped him years ago, and he's made some veiled references about not endorsing any more products because they discontinue them or change to cheaper components without his consent. Probably not a good sign for the Vox pedals (or maybe he meant his Marshall amps, which he also endorsed for a bit). My philosophy on buying Joe stuff has been to buy what he was using at the time he made the music I like best, which has meant Japanese Boss DS-1 & OD-1, a Rockman, and a Crybaby 535q for that Love Thing sound (but mainly I mean from NOTE until Flying in a Blue Dream). I'm thinking about the Vox wah but I don't want to pay $300 for something used, that could break or might have been revised with shoddy parts. I don't have a Kramer Pacer, hahahaha, so I'll just have to settle for my Ibanez JS10th and JS1000. 😋😋😋
@VOXampsforever I heard there was a problem with the pots used in the wah. apparently they were scratchy right out of the box. but you could only hear it when you used it with a clean channel on an amp.
I really like and want this wah its just the nicest wah tone i have heard for my person ear but dont like that drive this can the just be totally bypassed or is it like the volume for the pedal or can it be on 0 really cant decide between this or just the standard v847 because i dont like all the switches ect on it

Not getting the wrong idea, quite funny though. The thing is that the video has a blue filter, like a blue-enhancer if you will. If those were real then probably Satch really is the silver surfer, or some other alien entity. hehehe.
@evh5150316 i dont think it sounds anything at all like get it up, you might be thinking of the technique he is using, the descending trem picking stuff, but thats not the same as saying the songs sound the same, if anything it sounds more like a faster version of rasberry jam delta. practically the same chords. not trying to be a douche, i was just wondering why you thought that, but its cool, i get what you mean, he does a very similar trem picking run in both, pure satch ; ) respect :D

No, you were making perfect sense. That's happens when you buy Joe stuff, you always hope something magical will happen. The only time it has was when I got my Rockman. You hit that clean chorus sound, and you sound exactly like Joe on Not of This Earth. Tone may be in the fingers, but the Rockman is like "fuck your fingers, bro!". Hahahaha
He talks toooo much for trying to sell a pedal, we all want to hear the pedal not his voice, well... maybe someone here preffer the BLUE T SHIRT!!!!! OMG!! if it is that great wah PLAY it please.
