That's when they were known as the Cristeas (their family name) and it was only the 3 oldest. I guess the other 2 were still in diapers LOL. Very different music, but you can see the talent and that Sam also has a good voice. Abigail, the drummer, played the accordion back then. Sam probably just started playing guitar back then, but not in the videos.
Me and my girlfriend saw them on the 2019 Kiss Kruise to the Bahamas. I had never heard of them before . After the first show everyone was talking about them. The 2nd night a lot of people couldn't get in to see there show the theater was way over crowded . I remember seeing members from a lot of the other bands (Ratt etc.) watching the rest of there shows. Kiss was so impressed with there talent they booked them for the 10th and final Kiss Kruise in 2021 Oct 30 - Nov 4th. This will be the final Kiss live show on there End Of The Road Tour. Liliac are going to be big. The covid shut down has put every band in neutral as far as touring goes. Vocalist Melody has the most unique voice that stands out most among current female rock singers.
Sam 21, Abigail (drums) 20, melody (vocals and bass) 18, ethan (bass and rhythm) 13 , justin ( keyboard) 12. Awsome band they started with covers and was awsome but their original stuff is great and up and coming album looks brilliant. Checkout their single nothing. Great review
My first reaction was also: WOW! A very impressive overall performance. Even the two youngest Ethan on bass and Justin keys are fully integrated into the band. I don't have to say anything about Melody's extraordinary voice and performance, nor about Sam's qualities on the guitar. The secret band leader for me is Abigail on the drums, who manages the song "from behind" perfectly. Liliac has a new fan. Me.

In my opinion Liliac is way better than the Warning! 5 piece band and they have they're own style. You should check ou the Chain of Thorns and Dancing in the Dark videos, original music no covers like Mars was an original song of there's that you just reacted too.
It's not a competition, and have the humility not to conflate your personal taste with an absolute barometer of the quality of music. One band is more to your taste than the other, but that doesn't make either band "better."

I also prefer Liliac over The Warning as I'm not a fan of the singer's voice and for me, if I don't like the singer, I'm sure not going to listen to the band. We don't have to fight about it, it's called different strokes for different folks and that's what makes the rockin world go round! Debate with class, don't be ugly.

I am an old biker rocker chick and when I found this band a couple years ago, I fell deep. I'm so glad you've become a new fan of theirs, they need millions of us to propel them forward to heights they've only dreamed of. Now since they've moved into a bigger house, and they're independent from any corporate record label, they need help with building their studio to keep giving us their rock we need so badly. They've opened up a gofundme and I'm so disappointed that out of all their fans, they haven't reached even half their goal. I'm sorry, I guess it's bad protocol to advertise on another person's channel, but they need our help, they are not a famous or established band yet and that's how we help. Hell I am on Social Security on a limited income and I still gave $10. If all their fans even gave $5, they would be able to build their studio. Hello hello hello. I just discovered liliac a few weeks ago. And they do have that 80s vibe. I wanted to touch up on something you said, that nobody can do a concept album like The Warning. You need to check out Queensryche Operation Mindcrime. This is probably the best concept album ever, other than Pink Floyd The Wall. You also need to check out a band called Nightwish. Glad you really loved these kids. They just love Dio and Metallica's music. Believe it or not they started out with pop music and were named after their last name "The Cristeas". These kids are awesome, and a throwback to good old rock. Sam plays like a shredder yet his still very melodic and give you a lot of hook licks. A little bit like Van Halen. Abigail is so good and fun to hear and watch, especially now that she's added the double bass into the mix. And of course Melody is the voice to die for. She's so unique and fits right in with this style of music. Ethan holds the band together, but what not many people see is that his also a hell of a guitarist and plays some nice leads when asked to a such a young age. He plays stickly bass now so Melody doesn't have to and she's allowed to put on a show while singing. If you go back 5 or 6 years on there RUclips channel you'll find they were strictly a pop band believe it or not. Then boom, they switched to rock and metal. And Sam was the lead singer back then until Melody came in and they showcased her wondervoice singing pop music. People will be amazed at how different she used to sing back then. I know I'll get attacked for this, but it seems like a "cover/take" of Europe's "Final Countdown". I love both bands BTW, just saying. Europe had a number of albums after those that made it on to the radio. Found them online still touring a few years ago. That being said, Liliac is better than most of the signed bands out there today.
I love talented families...amazing they can perform like that at such young ages! I love talented families...amazing they can perform like that at such young ages! The singers voice was definitely unique, but had a great sound...and the guitar solo was awesome! 💗🎵💗🎸 I know you like guitars Olly...have you ever listened to Miyavi? He is an incredible rock guitarist from Japan...his songs do not have great lyrics (I know you like that, sorry, but his songs really are all about the guitar anyways), but his guitar playing is phenomenal.
