I’d love for Steve to explain why we stopped using the 1-3-1 when defending the neutral zone. We won the Presidents Trophy with it. Got to the ECF. So much of our problems are coming from the middle of the ice being open and the 1-3-1 is pretty much designed to stop that. Just doesn’t make sense why that wouldn’t be our system again this year.

Because they're ALL waiting for someone to do something and not doing it themselves. They need a new leader in the locker room to step up and right this ship and if they're all just looking for that other guy to do it, nothing's ever going to happen.... except more people being traded out and new people being brought in with the hopes that someone actually will become that new locker room leader.

I totally agree. Mika and Kreider both barely give an effort to speak. They give the least amount for those pressers. Sure, they're paid to play hockey, but come on...they're speaking so softly, it seems like they're severely depressed. If it wasn't for the fans, they wouldn't be depositing those huge paychecks!

It is not a very different team other than Trouba. I’m wondering if the other players were angry about how Trouba was dealt with over the summer and are more loyal to their Captain than the coach and GM
