If it wasn’t explained in the video (I’m half way into it) I figured out what it is. When thunderlord lightning strike or another weird damage burst does damage to a frozen combatant by balladors then it does 999,999.
If it is just any damage that connects during shatter then how about weapons with kinetic tremors...or try mixing up supers like gathering storm or hunter tether
Welcome to using Netlimiting without using it. This is exactly what’s called lag. Mainly here is due to the coding and server side from Bungie that’s causing this.
Each class has a glitched super now, with titans and Sentinel Shield, hunters with Celestial GG, and now warlocks with Ballidorse Winter’s Wrath. Perfectly balanced, as all good things should be.
The warlock one is odd cause hunters and titans can do theirs solo but warlocks need someone else shooting the boss, maybe one of the turrets could help self proc it but idk
Bungie please take a holiday, enjoy thanksgiving, be thankful for having brought Destiny this far. Then after that take a couple weeks trying to fix this. I would be eternally grateful.
They disable it because they watch the popular RUclips streamers anytime there’s a glitch video or whatever they hop on that shit like there’s no one’s business but because it’s an easy disable, they just turn off the exotic the Titan. They’re allowed to keep glitch until December when they said, they’ll address it.

I'm literally kinda surprised Telesto has been quiet for a long time, basically ever since Plunder. Even then it did a little bit but not a whole lot. If they could somehow tie this back to Telesto it would be sooooo funny

Its will is being carried on by the rest of the game, not only weapons. And telesto is not comimg back with glitches. The main reason it caused so many problems was being able to manually detonate the projectiles (that were coded as enemies) and they got rid of that

if u rewatch your video the lightening strikes from the thunderlord hit at the exact same time as you freezing greg and then the chunk happens...so the lightening is breaking the shard and doing crazy dmg
Yeah, it seems to be the hitting with an explosion of some sort whenever the freeze happens. Ignitions where causing it with Song of Flame, the Lightning Strikes from Thunderlord were causing it from Thunderlord, and even on the solo clip with Deathbringer, it was likely caused by the Axion Bolt Seekers that were spawned by the main Munition detonation over the boss impacting and exploding the moment a Freeze hit.

Bruh bungie stops this hrs after spotted but the game breaking bug that stops people from progressing through the tonic quest system still is in the game. A couple of people still locked from progressing the episode system but no the warlock fun bug is more important
It seems to be when an other source than the super itself causes the shatter but you have to time it right so the stasis doesnt shatter by itself first
I would like to thank Warlocks as a class for their noble sacrifice this holiday weekend to keep us Sentinels out of the direct line of nerf fire. Almost wish I wasn't going opening weekend hunting this time, almost.
I think the reason it was working with thunderlord was the thunderstrikes. From what I can tell it seemed like the chunking was happening when the lightning struck the moment the light attack hit.
i feel like it might be cuz when the boss shatters and thunderlord summons the lightning at the same time, the damage from the ice stacks and also increases the damage of the lightning
So what I'm hearing is, Solar Titan with Pheonix cradle to extend the stasis buff and then also have thrown attacks to proc damage, a Geomag warlock to proc damage (super extended by both geomag and Phoenix cradle) and then warlocks put out stasis turrets/arc buddies or mortars, so you have as much damage being sent out to hit at the same time
Guys correct me if i am wrong but doesnt freeze effect actually remove the previous scorching or jolting effects when it get applied , am 100% sure that freezing an enemy remove poison status if you have been using the warlock exotic arms
@@lightningking910 Especially when it can be instantly proven false given how when 'The Craftening' happened their official stance was to tell people to have fun with it while they worked towards a fix, very knowingly letting utter madness play out across the game instead of disabling crafting like many suggested they would or should have.
I think what is causing it is another elemental proc happening at the exact same time as the balidore freeze. It can be a jolt or a ignition, and a volatile might also work, but I haven't tested it.
Update: Due to an issue where more damage can be distributed than intended, the Warlock's Ballidorse Wrathweavers exotic has been disabled until a fix can be implemented. Updates will be provided when available.
was able to equip Ballidorse while setting up my mods, and while i was changing out things, they were disabled, while they were equipped.... such timing!
I’m statistically a warlock main (Play all 3 though), but let’s not try to claim that Sentinel Shield and Golden gun allowing for reliable one phases in a team is even remotely close to soloing bosses like ghost of the deep and vespers host (That sentinel shield even has no chance against) in single digit seconds. We do have sanguine that is possible to solo one phase grasp ogre, plus sentinel and golden are getting fixed in a couple of weeks, so warlocks will be king. Destiny community is so overly dramatic haha

Looks like multiple procs of stasis shatter is causing the damage. Every warlock melee fires 3 projectiles, each one can freeze. If you can shatter between those freezes, you are getting your damage.

I remember hunters having 1 hit shatter dives for a year. Warlock had a slightly broken melee and omg it gets tweaked within 2 days warlock can't have anything on average.
Balidorse got a rework where it gives its shatter multiplier to other teammates, I'm guessing song of flame has a high one, or just it went fully wrong and bam, crushed the healthbar.

There's this weird dmg glitch with stasis in general. This seasons exotic, the stasis grenade launcher. I've had weird delays where dmg would happen, maybe it's actually stasis in general.
9:33 warlocks are the only ones with the length and girth to make it happen. The other classes have bellies that are too big and peepees that are too small to touch em together
See. These are the types of things Destiny as a franchise would blow up for if they were made features. This is some RPG type stuff that would solidify Destiny's future. Just a natural interaction with breaking frozen targets and crystals with solar abilities / lightning strikes and etc increases the damage. Arc damage on suspended targets caused high arc stuns that trapped other enmies that gets jolted. Introduce the red darkness power and give it an amazing synergy with void. That's probably some D3 levels of customization. All guardians are now baseline "Prismatic" and can mix and choose whatever they want in terms of abilities, but some abilities have better synergy for damage/utility/cc etc. Seperate Crit from weakspots. Give abilities the chance to crit (In pve only maybe) and have weakspot multipliers different than crit multipliers for weapons and abilities. Expand build crafting.
Shows favoritism from bungie to NOT disable hunters exotic helm celestial nighthawk but disabled this one. Titans can be busted and hunter but OMFG dont let the locks…..
i think whats happening is that the Stasis super wand attack is registering shatter at the same window/time thats stacking with the buffs it received. The damage buff was supposed to be only applied to shatter but its doing the damage on the wand projectile plus the shatter damage
I think what's happening is that multiple things are damaging the frozen enemy at once, and all of them are procing the shatter. This leads to the shatter damage happening multiple times instead of once. The more sources that can simultaneously proc the shatter, the bigger the damage.
That shadowkeep clip from Altars would have the best consistency. Just freeze, wait till he auto-shatters and time it, so at the same time the target shatters, your next volley hits.
Alright here’s my theory. The damage ticks have to happen at the exact same time that’s why more damage sources like witherhoard and thunderbird and chaos reach work the best. So I say try I with a trace rifle and chaos reach at the same time which have the highest “rof”
I was noticing the dagame spikes happen when they were using Thunderlord. The lightning would strike the the super would hit just as the lightning was striking and boom big damage spike. That would also explain the inconsistencies as well.
@@redzaku130 It was mostly happening with effects that applied damage very fast, which is why they thought it was thunderlord or chaos reach. Might be worth testing with trace rifles.
I think it's compounding the shatter damage like Jolt does with it's scaling off of the base value of the source for the Jolt. I bet Balidorse is increasing the shatter, but the shatter going off from a source other than the Warlock's abilities is massive as is and then the resulting echo of that is scaling it off of the shatter damage, so you are getting two shatter damage values. The shatter that sets it off and shatter that scales up.
@dvb8637 I mean it still takes a bit of a setup to get set result and it isn't really a consistent result either but with Sentiel you can get the same consistent result given it is the same damage as the Titan Statis super. So in all fairness it is a fair comparsion to make.
did this by accident today. was just at the end of a heroic public event, boss spawns, I use my super and splat. I totally thought someone else had nuked him. Was just left looking around to see if a shield was near or someone else but nope, just me doing a greasy freezy.

Ignitions and shatter damage have very very similar code, I think the ignition boss fix is making its way into the shatter damage cap and it’s allowing shatters and song of flame to act like this

I swear it looks like when the two damages (cross’ super & e.g. thunderlord bullets) hit the boss in the same area that’s when it bugs and does more damage? Song of flame has an aoe which makes it easy to proq and chaos reach is a relatively large beam That’s what it looks like to me, when two points meet it breaks and the damage is crazy (on Greg at least)
Maybe it has to do when a jolt/solar grenade (the song of flame grenade) or some other specific element of damage hits simultaneously and with the explosion happens its scrambling the code/damage value and that’s why it’s inconsistent. If someone can replicate flawlessly everytime then right now it just looks like random happenstance when you throw a couple of specific things at a boss and the timing only has higher chance to glitch the damage but it’s not 100%

There's this weird dmg glitch with stasis in general. This seasons exotic, the stasis grenade launcher. I've had weird delays where dmg would happen, maybe it's actually stasis in general.
9:33 warlocks are the only ones with the length and girth to make it happen. The other classes have bellies that are too big and peepees that are too small to touch em together

See. These are the types of things Destiny as a franchise would blow up for if they were made features. This is some RPG type stuff that would solidify Destiny's future.
Just a natural interaction with breaking frozen targets and crystals with solar abilities / lightning strikes and etc increases the damage. Arc damage on suspended targets caused high arc stuns that trapped other enmies that gets jolted.
Introduce the red darkness power and give it an amazing synergy with void.
That's probably some D3 levels of customization. All guardians are now baseline "Prismatic" and can mix and choose whatever they want in terms of abilities, but some abilities have better synergy for damage/utility/cc etc.
Seperate Crit from weakspots. Give abilities the chance to crit (In pve only maybe) and have weakspot multipliers different than crit multipliers for weapons and abilities. Expand build crafting.
Shows favoritism from bungie to NOT disable hunters exotic helm celestial nighthawk but disabled this one. Titans can be busted and hunter but OMFG dont let the locks…..
i think whats happening is that the Stasis super wand attack is registering shatter at the same window/time thats stacking with the buffs it received. The damage buff was supposed to be only applied to shatter but its doing the damage on the wand projectile plus the shatter damage

It looks like when shatter damage and any other elemental keyword happen at the same time is what triggers it

I think what's happening is that multiple things are damaging the frozen enemy at once, and all of them are procing the shatter. This leads to the shatter damage happening multiple times instead of once. The more sources that can simultaneously proc the shatter, the bigger the damage.

Alright here’s my theory. The damage ticks have to happen at the exact same time that’s why more damage sources like witherhoard and thunderbird and chaos reach work the best. So I say try I with a trace rifle and chaos reach at the same time which have the highest “rof”
Reminds me of the Winterbite bug. I wonder if it's somehow creating a loop of shatter damages proccing all instantly when the damage lines up.
I was noticing the dagame spikes happen when they were using Thunderlord. The lightning would strike the the super would hit just as the lightning was striking and boom big damage spike. That would also explain the inconsistencies as well.
@@redzaku130 It was mostly happening with effects that applied damage very fast, which is why they thought it was thunderlord or chaos reach. Might be worth testing with trace rifles.
I think it's compounding the shatter damage like Jolt does with it's scaling off of the base value of the source for the Jolt. I bet Balidorse is increasing the shatter, but the shatter going off from a source other than the Warlock's abilities is massive as is and then the resulting echo of that is scaling it off of the shatter damage, so you are getting two shatter damage values. The shatter that sets it off and shatter that scales up.
Bungie disabling Balldorse but letting Hunters and Titans have fun is so stupid.

The other classes dont eliminate bosses in a hit. Smh. Warlock atm is beyond broken. Dont compare apples with oranges tho.
@dvb8637 I mean it still takes a bit of a setup to get set result and it isn't really a consistent result either but with Sentiel you can get the same consistent result given it is the same damage as the Titan Statis super.
So in all fairness it is a fair comparsion to make.

did this by accident today. was just at the end of a heroic public event, boss spawns, I use my super and splat. I totally thought someone else had nuked him. Was just left looking around to see if a shield was near or someone else but nope, just me doing a greasy freezy.

Ignitions and shatter damage have very very similar code, I think the ignition boss fix is making its way into the shatter damage cap and it’s allowing shatters and song of flame to act like this

if you freeze at the same time as thunderlord lighting strike jolt is the proc causing it based on the slow down

Song of flame has an aoe which makes it easy to proq and chaos reach is a relatively large beam

Maybe it has to do when a jolt/solar grenade (the song of flame grenade) or some other specific element of damage hits simultaneously and with the explosion happens its scrambling the code/damage value and that’s why it’s inconsistent. If someone can replicate flawlessly everytime then right now it just looks like random happenstance when you throw a couple of specific things at a boss and the timing only has higher chance to glitch the damage but it’s not 100%
