I really enjoyed your video. I was the City Manager of Washington from 1990 to 1996. While I was there we built the NC Estuarium, a new water treatment plant, extended water and sewer services to Chocowinity that allowed those services to serve Weyerhaeuser development. We also designed the water front marina. Two of my three children were born in Washington at Beaufort County Hospital. I loved it there,wish I never left. You brought back many fond memories for me! Thank you!
Edward, thanks for your comments. My wife and I were married at First United Methodist Church there in 1968. I was in the Air Force then, and moved around quite a bit. We settled in Wake Forest for a while, then Greenville, and finally back to Cypress Landing in Chocowinity in 2001. We love it here. Russ with RVerTV loved my video, and suggested that I continue in that style. I plan to do three more... Tranters Creek RV Resort, Twin Lakes RV Resort, and Goose Creek State Park. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. If you ever decide to move back, give me a call... I own Experience Realty and Waterfront Professionals.
Hi Jan, yes, we love "Little Washington!" My wife Rennie and I were married there 52 years ago. We left for several years, but we are happy to be back "home." Main street is still decorated beautifully for Christmas. The construction is finished and it looks great! I will probably do another update video soon. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
