      I can't remember who said it, but it stuck with me.... it was something like "The key to poker is being good enough to get yourself in situations where luck can carry you the rest of the way".... or something like that. Obviously the game's changed a lot since that really rang true, but with the game of poker it will ALWAYS be a valid way to describe it. At the end of the day you can run all the math you want, you're still only getting a better idea of what you MIGHT be up against lol....

      Oh yes, he showed the utmost respect throughout the Durrrr challenge. Deciding to take 11 years to play less than half of the hands planned because you got stuck 1.2 million shows a lot of class and respect for the game in general.

      @@tomford7983 why would he continue playing when he knows he's on to a BIG loser? Not just any loser, literally millions and millions of dollars because the terms he made were unrealistic and extremely favourable to his opponents because he was cocky and maybe was young and full of ego at the time. He had more of an advantage in the past but he lost a lot of his advantage as other players caught up. Would you honour something that you knew would put a huge dent in your net worth? Just to be 'honourable'? I would actually call that pretty stupid. He just did what we'd all do. Stupid thing to criticize him over in my opinion. Now cheating, that's another matter.

      true

    • @tomford7983
      @tomford7983 Год назад +1

      @@elastronaute1198 First off, it's not just a matter of not continuing to play, he refused to play and refused to do a buy-out. That is essentially cheating players like Patrik who did abide by the terms of the proposition and paid the sidebet. It's a scumbag move for Dwan. If you want to be known widely as a scumbag, then that's fine, but the community should regard him as a scumbag and remind people of how he operates so that he doesn't scam additional people. It might be a shock to you, but not everyone who plays poker is a giant angle-shooting scumbag. Also, the OP said, "Dwan is always humble when he wins and when he does lose, he respects the other players." Obviously that's not true, and that's what I'm responding to.

      Traducido a los ignorantes en matemáticas: porque el A es de rombos, no de corazones como pone.

    3:30 why does the guy on the bottom has 0% chance of winning? If the river is hearts he could win with flush right?
