I switched to an RDR Gear belt for duty use back in January. It has been great so far. Whe I like about it is that it is different from other belts. The inner belt is the stiff part. This keeps the belt in place better. A little harder to initially get on but a better user experience overall. Second it is constructed like a duty belt where the extra is wrapped to the inside and uses Velcro to secure it. No extra wrapped around itself and sitting in one spot on the outside of the belt.

Some solid options on this video. Feel free to check out a company called December Customs. We are a small manufacturer but our belts are as solid as they come. Outer is two layer scuba webbing with a built in tegris stiffener. Inner belt is a 1.5 inch wide belt with a single layer of belt webbing and a tegris stiffener. Both joined together makes for a super ridgid yet flexible belt.

@@TacticalConsiderations check em out. They also do custom work. I got one of their belts and was able to have them do a specific number of MOLLE columns and extend the adjustment tail. This basically gave me an in-between size to maximize usable MOLLE while leave me maximum adjustment while I lose weight. They will also make adjustments to their belt if you do lose weight etc. The MOLLE rigidity and stitching is similar maybe even a tad more rugged than the ronin.
After attaching a kywis without properly weaving MOLLE (just straight thru) it had no side to side play and I really had to force it for any up and down movement. However being 2 inches, I w was s ab ok e to properly weave it and.it eliminated any possibility of my movement.
Also comes with elastic webbing in the center to hold items, am integrated HK hook for gloves/chem lights, and integrated elastic sharpie loop. after trying numerous companies belts, these are the only ones I use now. Also ran by some seemingly great people.

But anyway, I recently got the Kore Battle belt that uses the inner belt and outer belt combo that has the ratcheting feature. Its a strong belt, holds my gear well. The only thing I do not enjoy about it is the fact that the inner belt needs to be strung through my belt loops first and then the outer belt goes on top. I would honesty prefer a system that just rides stiffly and comfortably around my waist on the outside of all my clothes. Something that I can just throw on on the fly. Any specific suggestion on what you think would be best for that?

Would be interested in a duty gear / belt review for more of the LE / private security variety if you have various belts - especially if there are belts you would *not* go with, cheap chinesium being a given. I just found out about a few small duty belt makers with interesting products, but don't know anyone running them yet. I have run Bianchi, Safariland, and Uncle Mikes (their higher end, and rock bottom crap) but there has to be something better by now. The traditional nylon LE belts are so damn thick and unnecessarily heavy.

I switched to an rdr gear black MOLLE belt for duty use. Been using it since Jan and it's been great. What I like about it vs other belts is 1. The inner belt is the actual stiff part of the setup. To me this keeps the belt in place better. 2. It is built like a duty belt where the extra part of the belt is on the inside and velcroed down. No extra part wrapped up and sitting there.

I hate the fact that their belt loops are too big and tend to flop around unless you make the belt itself too tight. I've been looking for a solution to this for a while.
