for a handheld the switch is incredible feat in tech, its able to run games like skyrim, bioshocks, witcher and even something like tears of the kingdom are just incredible games that run perfectly on the go, you cant get that anywhere else until steam deck came around a year ago
so luckily ive had a really good experience with Arkham Knight in terms of performance. I've had a few framedrops in the batmobile, but everything else is locked at 30
I believe if the next Nintendo switch is as powerful as a ps4 or slightly higher, the ports they would get aren’t going to be as drastic, there’s really not many games that have a huge graphical leap from ps4 to ps5
I think the biggest problem can be the RAM and CPU of the next Nintendo console, not so much the GPU. If they put only 8GB RAM and a not so powerful 4 core CPU we can probably have some problems in the future
If this game existed in a vacuum, like say it was a Switch exclusive spinoff of a PS4/ Xbox One game made for Switch, I feel like people would give this a 6 out of 10 saying the story, gameplay and spirit of the Arkham games are here, but the hardware hold it back from really shining it brightest and they would hope it would get ported to other systems like Assassin Creed Liberation got ported to ps3 and 360. But it’s not it’s going to get compared to the original and I think people will be likely to be more critical about it. In handheld mode here I wouldn’t say this game is abysmal. Some people have use the term “unplayable” and I think that might be taking it a bit too far. Yeah it was hitching up pretty good on the Batmobile parts. There were a couple seems that kinda gave me that claymation frame rate feel, but I wouldn’t say this game was horrible. I wouldn’t say it was good, I’d say it is a fair port given what it took to even get it running on the Switch. I’ve definitely seen worse ports Like Borderlands 2 and Amazing Spider-Man on PS Vita, and people still managed to tread through those game and get some entertainment out it. I still think paying $60 for this is highway robbery when you can get it cheaper and better everywhere else. But I imagine some kid who doesn’t have his own money and the only gaming system his parent were willing to buy his was a switch, and if he asked for a game for Christmas and this was the only way he was going to be able to play these games, at least this game is functional enough for him to go through it and get its story and all the content it has to offer, even if its not the most polished way to do it.
That's why is a good thing to get multiple systems if you can in case the Switch ports don't run well. I'm just happy with my Switch, I am able to play older Final Fantasy and other retro titles and indies as well as Nintendo exclusives.
I don’t buy anything for my Switch but Nintendo exclusives. There are too many powerful handhelds out now to buy AAA games on the Switch knowing that it’s not going to run well.
I think switch 2 will definitely at least be as powerful as the steam deck or close to it. Though, the steam deck is already kind of becoming outdated, games should still run on it for at least a decade at 30 fps. Thats the thing that sucks about the switch is you really have to get used to 30 fps bc even games that aren’t graphically intensive still only run 30 fps on switch
It was funny thing. I played the game on switch and at Batmobile screen. I got crashed and glitched from too laggy and low fps. Then I quit the game. It was stupid.
They allready say it´s a lot less powerful than thought becaise it does NOT use the Tegra T139 or how it was called in the past. Since that chip consumes a TON of energy, which the Switch 2`s cooling-system cannot hande (Development-kit). And it instead uses a custom chip. Having no Tensor-Cores does not allowing to use any AI-features for things like DLSS or something like that. Well of course it won´t have that since Tensor-Cores are ONLY built on Highend-GPUs from Nvidia. And in cars. And so this means the Switch 2 (or if it´s called "The Focus") will only have another lowend-chip. With a bit higher clockrates and of course more Ram. And more importantly a much bigger internal memory.
we nintendo players dont care about graphics we care about good story telling and have a fun game to play thats it lol it works fine on switch people are putting hate because of graphics... thousand times prefer to have fun with mario games and this batman than to have ultra sigma alpha graphics on ps5 playing woke games like spider man 2 and explain to my kid why spider man is getting owned by a refrigerator and mary ugly jane is saving spider man...
This is not on par with other versions but it is a handheld console and an > one at that, again, i never really heard someone complain with their Psp back in the days because everyone knew it was a handheld system .. The Switch is doing good considering how long it lasted in my opinion ; Arkham Knights needs better work on it, a few patches but it is far from being horrible in my opinion.. and Asylum and City are great on it.
Needs to be more optimize to run it a little better on the batmobile.
for a handheld the switch is incredible feat in tech, its able to run games like skyrim, bioshocks, witcher and even something like tears of the kingdom are just incredible games that run perfectly on the go, you cant get that anywhere else until steam deck came around a year ago
I agree with putting origins on current gen consoles but we have to remember it was Montreal who did the game not rocksteady
ngl, seeing knight on switch reminded me I have an xbox
He’s not lying
You're supposed to hold down the button to incinerate Joker in the beginning, not mash it.
so luckily ive had a really good experience with Arkham Knight in terms of performance. I've had a few framedrops in the batmobile, but everything else is locked at 30
Bullsh*t. Low frame rate is not some bug that you can avoid. It’s just there.
You completely missed the Pattinson suit at 4:35 and in order to access the DLC you need to click on the Arkham Episodes option.
Ok. Thanks I totally missed it.

You would think, right? but I bet there will be some limitation. At the end of the day, it will be a Nintendo console.
I think the biggest problem can be the RAM and CPU of the next Nintendo console, not so much the GPU. If they put only 8GB RAM and a not so powerful 4 core CPU we can probably have some problems in the future
Moron
To play the DLC's, you have to select Arkham Episodes in the main menu.
Play this on steam deck, 800p 60 fps medium high settings. Switch is getting a bit long in the tooth at this point we need a switch 2.
I remember these jumpscares back in the day
I’m surprised at how it looks now if you can play this offline it’s a banger 👌🏾

People Love The Hate Drama Over These Older Games I Am Glad These Bat Games Are Own Switch
Do you ever finish games?
I just finished Super Mario RPG last week.
And a week before I finished Spider-Man 2. I try a lot of games, but when I'm not recording I try to stick to one game so I can finish it.
Yeah I was curious because almost every other day of each week you've got something new lol But fair enough
I reckon should start bringing cod to switch that on the go would be epic. Also i just got batman and loving it on the switch

The batmobile seems to be the Achilles heel for this version of the game.
Arkham asylum is the best of the 4 (including arkham origins) finish at least the asylum one, its preety spooky and peak batman

Buying just Nintendo original games will always be the best experience on the Switch. So you're doing it right.
Asylum, city and knight ate made by rocksteady, origins is a Montreal game
Awesome handheld😊just need a SD card

good job about Arkhan Knight Nintendo Switch Gameplay from Batman: Arkham Trilogy 2023
I have this game on PC but still I haven't beat it yet. Because it's time consuming.
What if the next Switch has a whole different cartridge and will all have to re-buy our whole game collection for that new Nintendo Console ?!?!?!
That would really suck. I hope Nintendo doesn't think of not being backwards compatible.
I will end my business relation with Nintendo .
It didn’t do the boost because you haven’t unlocked it 🤦🏾♂️
What are you doing....? Evening the odds! 😈

Arkham Knight looks and runs terrible. Hardware isn’t up to the task
Seeing some other ports, and even Arkham City, the hardware is actually up to the task - its the software that could use more optimization.
