Thank you for the tutorial on ways to use this foot. Do you know when Janome will offer a Left Bi-Level Foot - the perfect tool for sewing on quilt binding rather than hand stitching. (Sew binding to the back of the quilt, bring it around front and stitch in place with a Left bi-level foot. Straight, even stitch perfection!) The other major brands offer this foot, and many of us are anxiously waiting for Janome to offer one too!)
Yes, this foot is not a quilt binding foot, it is for bags, clothing, and some of the other applications mentioned in the video. Unless you are binding a small piece that will fit under your sewing arm! For binding, we have a video as part of this Sew Smarter series this month that goes over binding foot choices. Happy Sewing!
Does Janome have a Left-sided bi level foot? The foot you are using anticipates the thicker fabric is on the left and thinner fabric on the left. What if the thicker material is on the right ? I make quilts and recently made a a quilt with flanged binding (two colors). Having a bi-level foot that accommodates the thicker material on the right for my Janome 9450 would have helped.

Wow! 💡 I NEED that foot! This will ease and enhance doing about 40% of my projects (bag-making and jeans-y pants)
