Funny story - apparently Bram Stoker's original novel IS considered part of the old-school (aka pre-Lords of Shadow) Castlevania timeline. One of the characters, Quincy Morris, is a relative of the Belmont clan, meaning his son and grandson John and Jonathan Morris can use the Vampire Killer whip that the Belmonts lost the right to use after the events of Symphony of the Night.
