I would only add to say that, this film would feel just a little more real, if individuals like the robot had actual weight in the world. It was moving inside the truck and then jumping off the back end and landing on the ramp (which was mysteriously already deployed) and it landed without so much as making even the chains move. It moved around in the truck without making the truck rock from its weight. The robot just didn't have any reality in the film for me.
It’s cheesy like Power Rangers. That’s what it reminds me of. The acting, the fight choreography, the camera work, the music….cheesy, cheesy, cheesy, cheesy,
They do not know how to do short stories... in the beginning one could go to the movie theater and watch 3 serialized stories with a different chapter every week or so. These current minds do not know how to do that... they think that offering what amounts to a long preview with no ending is what people want. The comment sections are filled with pleas from viewers for the rest of what is supposed to happen. That is the niche market they cannot understand... everyone cannot be a director because it is the direction in the beginning and end that gets the job done completely. And few people know how to direct anything let alone a 7-10 minute story. Just look in this comment section and see how many say, "Where is the rest?" This approach is doing good science fiction harm and is a major waste of time
as a bunch of other people are saying, it is great and it would have been nice to see more of this. The universe feels very lived in and cohesive. You have pretty good hero type characters and everyone's relatable even after only a couple of minutes. It tells just enough backstory to get you hooked.
Gee where's the rest that had the look of an excellent Series that I would look forward to week after week. I've been into SIFI for every sense I was 10, 60 years ago , and I'm telling you that you got something there. MORE Please!
Dang, that looked like the great scene to what could have been a great movie. Throw in some futuristic corporate heist, some Portal-esk scenes, a little more Terminator, and it would be a nice action flick.
Love the concept, the robot animation was fantastic and some of the visual effects were good. The acting... could have been better. And it's a shame whoever did the post-processing was a graduate of the JJ Abrams academy of lensflares.
Ahh critics the lowest of the low form of humanity who have zero talent or skill of their own but still have the audacity to criticise others who are great at what they do and are blessed with a rare skill set of turning their dreams into onscreen reality . These great talents put their heart and soul into their work only to be mocked and insulted by the so called critic a creature that akin to a parasite stays glued to his couch with nothing to do other than ranting about how good or bad a movie is and simultaneously devouring buckets upon buckets of popcorn and bottle after bottle of soda . The worst part is that this generation that lacks the ability to think for themselves trusts the crap that comes out of the mouths of these clowns and enables them to make a living out of it. I am really confused sometimes because every other job requires some form of training you need to undergo only then are you considered eligible for that job but for the life of me can somebody enlighten me about the kind of training and expertise one needs to be considered a professional critic other than being a diabetic who also suffers from chronic obesity and idiotic delusions of grandeur and self worth.
unarmored human punching another human whos wearing a full face helmet and body armor, ends up barely inconveniencing the armored one and wrecks the unarmored one
This has potential to be a fun one for the young folks. Not the most original story, but still fun. One thing about the animation--the robot needs to show "weight". Something that large would probably weigh close to a tonne. When it's moving about on the truck & hops off, the truck should be *rocking.* It doesn't move a bit. Should've done something about that.
@@FMFvideos, the robot is certainly the first clue, as it looks almost identical to "D0g" from Half-Life 2. But also, when the protagonist looks at the picture of his father, we see that he's a spitting image of Gordon Freeman!
I quite like it, but I find the tone a bit odd. The strange "glib comment during near death experience" makes me feel like they're immortal and actually in no danger anyway, so it's not very suspenseful.
The main character having a hair perm looking like Ken is not realistic. Plus, coming around the alley and seeing multiple enemies thinking both of them can find cover without getting shot is also not realistic.
Gotta have properly realistic-looking action if I'm gonna believe they're fighting/struggling. But props on making this, and don't settle for anything less than perfection when it comes to blowing our fucking minds - maintain the same high bar you once believed in as a child...👍
Everyone went all in on this pilot concept. Overall the effort of everyone else made this watchable. Some people said it was the acting, I think it was the writing. The writing was not great. The dialogue was so predictable is was cringe. The premise of his father being head of some tech company that went bad... And so many issues with the scenes. Why did he go up to the roof to look at his father's old company? That was absurd. The fight scene, I get that it's on a budget, but when they rounded the corner to see a face-off? In what world would they not be shot? Everyone did the best with what they had, but this needs a rewrite.
This was great and should have been continued, I could stand to see a full feature version to finish the story
Great look to AMP and how natural he is placed within the frame. Simple, to-the-point, and makes you root for the underdogs! Nicely done.
Yay, 80's 'quality' acting is back
@ 5:57;
Lmao......"Hey, quit fooling around w/ that guy"! Killer...😂😂. Go AMP 👍👍
Elysia Rotaru is gorgeous .
100% across the board. Bloody well done all!
Thanks for having CC enabled

Also with the intent of constructive criticism: way too much lens flare added in post. Way way too much.

Very well done! The story is compelling and the FX were great. I'd love to see this continued some day.

I wish this was a TV series. would be so good
Agree 😊
That was good special effects. Compelling storyline. Well acted and well told. All around outstanding. Would love to see more.
Compelling storyline? What storyline?

Great short! I read in the comments that this was shot 2014. Is there a second part? I would watch a whole movie!
I remember watching this video years ago and still good now
Good one! The hope and wonder of sci fi has been missing for decades.
Sweet glory. You cured my sci fi Jones. Woo! 🖖🏼👽
Great scenes, seriousness, and comedic. well done short

I was thinking this would’ve been very impressive If I hadn’t already seen Chappie. Turns out, this one first came out one year (2014) before Chappie.
More of this please !!!
I Would have liked to have seen more of this it's a shame it finished when the action was getting going, I hope there will be a follow up.
Love the concept, the robot animation was fantastic and some of the visual effects were good.

facts...
I remember there used to be a lot of sf movies worth watching on this channel. I wonder how to unsee what I just watched?!
I like the story and can’t wait for more.
Poor Boston :D it really torn it apart in this epizode :D do more, it's good!
Damn that robot looks Cool 🤩🤖
Wow what an original story.
Pamiętam że kiedyś na tym kanale było sporo filmów sf wartych obejrzenia. Zastanawiam się jak odzobaczyć to coś co właśnie obejrzałem?!
Amped up
for some futuristic
California fun?
Enjoyed.
Kid friendly, too!
Nice work. ✝️
"I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers."
Brilliant. A favorite reference for 30+ years now... 😂🙏
Two times
Wondering why a channel like this has never been recommended before. They can pump out a film every week ? They put Hollywood to shame.
I want more of this!
Awesome!! We need a follow up please!!! ❤❤
That robot looks like the one from half life.
Not much of a story, but... Gotta love a robot with attitude.
Wow. that was REALLY good! Gives me some (grounded) Star Wars vibes. Definitely needs to be a full movie.
great lighting
i saw this for first time about 10 years ago
Wheatley: who’s a moron now?
Nice. Love the Indiana Jones references.
Protocol 3, protect the pilot.
CUTE😍❣️❣️Can I have one for Christmas 🤩⁉️
unarmored human punching another human whos wearing a full face helmet and body armor, ends up barely inconveniencing the armored one and wrecks the unarmored one
Well. This was fun. In a silly sort of way. I can only hope that AMP finds better mammals to pal up with. This crew ain't doing it any favours.
Still a Better Love Story than the re-imagined Little Mermaid.
Good work thanks

I'll watch a full length feature of that.
And I thought was going to be about an energy drink of the future.
First comment! Keep up the great work DUST!:) I always look forward to your work.
Dust doesn't make films, they just publish them.
@@TheRealSkeletor I like dust publishing…🙂
Closed captions run approx four seconds behind the audio.
I want more !!
Great fun short.
This was amazing
Cool vid! Big ups ✌️
Please tell me the creators of Amp will continue to make more of this story!
Come on make more you won't regret it promise..😁
Why am I getting Half-Life vibes from this :O
robot

Awesome 👏👏🥰
Love it ! B.C.
Good job!
AMP needs that rubic cube energy source ASAP
Ohhh nooo. I get way deep into this video short and it ends. You can't do that to me. Tell me that there is a longer sequel to this.
i'm only 2 and a half minutes in and this is cool.
Love this ❤
Looks good, simple plot - I like them - but, alas so few get funded for future movies or series.
Need Sunday Night Dust Again. Great Short to
Just starting to get good more please 😊
Man... that is some csi miami level stuff... I dont want to be mean, but where are all the positive comments coming from?
A good freind
I quite like it, but I find the tone a bit odd. The strange "glib comment during near death experience" makes me feel like they're immortal and actually in no danger anyway, so it's not very suspenseful.
RealSteel anyone?
Love it 🎉
Ok thanks for the trailer now where’s the movie
It saddens me that the robot had better acting skills than the male lead.
Because even independent film makers hire "pretty people" and don't care if they can act or not.
Great animation, but slow, inflated fight scenes that detract from any sci-fi feeling.
Alysia is very beautiful.
101👍's up DUST thank you for sharing 😊
I'm confused.
Which Transformers movie was this?
A little sound editing would have been nice.
Good story. Dialog volume is too low and the subtitles are 6 seconds late.
6.8 SECONDS LATE..... Both volume and subtitle adjustment advance (it is a .vtt file) can be handled by VLC and i am sure other players.
The main character having a hair perm looking like Ken is not realistic. Plus, coming around the alley and seeing multiple enemies thinking both of them can find cover without getting shot is also not realistic.
This is good, very cliche.
What is Lara Croft doing here?
cool!
two pistols against ten rifles...?...
Nice . Someday i developed ai just like this..🙂
Subtitles do not match the sound
What happened? Did they run out of film?
Gotta have properly realistic-looking action if I'm gonna believe they're fighting/struggling.
But props on making this, and don't settle for anything less than perfection when it comes to blowing our fucking minds - maintain the same high bar you once believed in as a child...👍
Sequel :) ? :)
Well done but back off the glare effect.
Part 2?
Missed the point of the story.....
Is this about Half-Life ??

Using handguns in the end was ridiculous! Come on, be real!!!
Finish it.
Está genial😊
