The balls out of control thing has been happening to me. I thought it was a problem with my phone. Someone suggested turning off native refresh and that worked for me. In the meantime I lost so many balls into the air. Niantic needs to fix whatever is causing this.

I'm running into another issue - when I open my game, I literally can't touch anything. Cleared game cache, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Even made sure my phone is up to date. Same issue on my tablet too so I know it's definitely a game issue.

Yes, I've been having issues with throwing the ball too. It began about 3 weeks ago, then got better. But a cpl days ago, it got wonky again. It's not terrible bit it def effects my throws.

ive had the same issue. the ball will either throw short or far. or not at all like youre experiencing. when it happens to me my fps drops a lot too. i beleive it has something to do with the native refresh rate setting
Not your phone, I have the same issue...it requires you to throw as if you're in Native Refresh on (higher quality video). It came during the last update, but I didn't like it went into regular native settings recently. It definitely lowers the amount of threshold you have on following through on throws. You might need to turn at the end of throw to adjust it more
Also the only thing I have trouble with Pokémon go is when I encounter a Pokémon and I click it it lags a lot

I noticed the ball throw on mine like two weeks ago, if you release too early it doesn’t even throw and sometimes it doesn’t even curve it just goes straight off screen

Omg thank you, the throw is trash!!! I've found out that if I lock the screen with the game on and open it again, I'll get one or two normal throws before it does the overthrow again
Make sure your native refresh rate is turned on in the advance settings
Okay I don’t blame u at all and I’ve had issues all of the time. Usuallyfor me I have to calm down and take a breath or wait a second (usually a minute) the problem usually occurs when these Pokémon appear. Natu, Xatu, Drifloon, and lv 5 raid bosses, also lickitung annoys and weird’s me out the evolution of it grosses the hell out of me. Most of the big Pokémon back in the day drove me nuts like Slowpoke, Doduo, Groudon, and Pokémon who are too far away or go up in the air oh yeah that drives me bonkers. A lot of them have been fixed except for slowpoke but he is so stupid so it’s fine that Niantic didn’t fix him or Pokémon who are too close like Glameow, and Gothita also mega raid bosses too. Not Blaming Niantic for those or the quality of life updates those are awesome but it might be the software but when I have problems with my phone I go to a tech expert like my Dad. It might be the software or it’s u low key I doubt it bro but hey I think it is the software on ur phone or possibly the game. They just keep making glitches that has to stop (except the ditto, Zorua, or Smeragle) those are fine. Watch for the hippo Pokémon and Sneasel (both versions) johto and the legend’s arceus one as well they have a gender change that is not okay or cool with me. Slowpoke does not have a glitch he is fine. The Galar birds I doubt the count is 50 but it is close and the master ball was glitched so I think ur okay bro. We can fix the weather by reporting the issue but that is minor so that is usually all good.
My pokeballs aren't going way above but not far enough. It also curves way off to the left or right. I have to throw it like as fast as i can just to hit the pokemon

Omg yess the stupid curveball issue is so annoying because I have the iPhone 12 mini and it’s hard enough to curveball because my hand is literally the size of the screen and this issue makes it worse!! 😭

If you're having the ball throw issue take off the native refresh rate in the settings. I saw it on Reddit and it worked, its not perfect but its playable
The throw problem has happened following the most recent update and it happens on android phones. There is a workaround which involves changing the native refresh rate in the game. No news and when this bug will be fixed and whether trainers will get compensation for wasted poke balls. On the number of Galarian birds encountered. I make it 37. To be honest I haven't gone through all the videos, I was just hoping to become best friends. 😂
the bonuses say 4x rewards in gbl but its the same for me
ever since new update everytime i catch a pokemon its always laggy for the first ball, happens for every catch
The catch glitch is only happening with Android devices, you have to turn off your native refresh rate, it fixes it but your FPS will drop a lot

Im having same ball issues but also cant feed a berry to my buddy.
On another note, when i go into a raid, it freezes and all i can do is close the game and restart it (hopefully still in time to join the raid).

I just started that ball issue too. I have Samsung phone so went to galaxy store version instead of google playstore version then it was ok
Started having the same issue yesterday on Android switched from the play app to the Samsung pogo app and that seems to be a lot better. (Same phone so it has to be a software issue)
Turn off native refresh rate until they fix the bug. Doesn't look as good but at least you can throw balls like normal.
If you want to catch a bird: normal pokeball, no berry, no curve, no nice great or excellent, just a normal throw with no modifiers, the birds catch modifiers are opposite so that anything that normally boosts catch rate makes the birds harder to catch
The ball glitch is happening to everyone who uses native refresh rate. Turning off native refresh rate worked for me. It's not just you, it's the new update.

I specifically keep all the low hit point pokemon to use for powering up then delete them. Powering up 5 times only cost me 1200 stardust!!
Gilly today I got the new plus + within the first 20 encounters using it I lost a shiny Durant. An unregistered shiny in my dex!
About that glitch - Go in advanced settings and refresh game data! It solved issues for me!
After the last update, the game glitches when you throw a curveball.
No lie I spent so much time saving stardust and I was around 600K a week ago. Now I am back to 10K building up again because of this constant power up

Yo bro I just seen this same thing happened to me and I was TIGHHHHT! The fix is delete pgo and re-download it!! I literally took my phone case off wiped it down... same deal... I deleted the all re-download and perfect like there was never a issue got a galaxy s23 ultra maybe its just android I couldn't even find issues when I tried to research

Dw bro I have the same issue I think it is a bug the pokeball or any ball goes way over the pokemon like im here tryna catch a charizard which is a big pokemon and I do a slightly small throw which i susually do when i encounter other pokemon the same size but then my pokeball goes way over the pokemon like bruh
