It was hard to pick a favorite creature, but I especially enjoyed the explorer and his/her/its commentary. The bizarre environment says alien planet and/or alien universe.

This was awesome. Interdimentional David Attenborough. Would make a great series. Lots of references to other art, books and films subtly showing in the design of the creatures.
Thanks! I'm guessing I've been influenced by all sorts of things. Most of these puppets are bits of latex cast in older plaster molds and joined together to form new creatures. So you might recognize parts of older puppets from other videos.
This is so good I took a second look. The thing about Lovecraft is that he had a real feeling for just how alien an environment could be if its not one you grew up in and took for granted. Earth is old enough to have had creatures that looked like they were from other planets. www.usgs.gov/media/images/trek-through-time-graphics-ordovician These were earth creatures, but their structures and ways of life are so different that they seem like creature out of hell. This is what this youtube reminds me of.
I gotta say. This is the fourth or fifth time I've re-watched this youtube. I think the black armored alien is your most convincing creature. I can't help thinking about the life this entity has outside of this scene. How is his language constructed? (the electronic vibration voice and the alien text are especially convincing ) What is it saying? What kind of society it from? Is it male or female, or some other mode of reproduction? How does its society work? What are that society's goals? The thing suggests all these questions to me and I wonder about them. This is very good work. An interesting movie could be made just from this creature. I commend your creativity.
First and most important I congratulate with your interpretation of these humongous monsters bizarre movements and sounds, that's exactly how I imagine the population of yuggoth. I was wondering if there's any specifics on the names and varieties of aliens inhabiting it besides the mi-go somewhere out there or if you just imagined all those creatures by yourself. I would love to do some exploring roleplay campaign about yuggoth and learn more! As always very good job 👍

UPDATE: Dogu figurines!
Yes, t's based on the Dogu clay dolls from ancient Japan :)
Wow, this was amazing! The models, the landscapes, and the sound were incredible. The alien, with the robotic language and alien subtitles, was really well done. Keep up the great work, I love your videos.
Thanks for watching -and your kind comments :)
What amazing visions..
Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed your trip into the Zone :)
Great artists like C.M Kosemen, Abiogenisis
Alex, MichaelBeaudry, Vincent-Covielloart and among other creative geniuses. They managed to materialize the impossible in a plausible reality. The best thing about this short film is that you managed to bring the biological encyclopedia of realistic aliens to life ... Thank you Loneanimator for bringing them to life at STOP MOTION!
Thanks for watching :) I tried to do something along the lines of these artists´ work, but of my own puppet-making style.
@@TheLoneAnimator thats the spirit!! Wondeful and groovy work 👏😍
I *adore* the Dogū cosmonaut, and will be shamelessly stealing this for a future DND campaign.
Fantastic work as always.
Please, steal away :)
This is absolutely stunning! I'm speachless!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Stunning! Thanks a lot for this gem!
Thanks for watching! :)
@@TheLoneAnimator My pleasure, outstanding work! Congrats
It was hard to pick a favorite creature, but I especially enjoyed the explorer and his/her/its commentary. The bizarre environment says alien planet and/or alien universe.
Thank you! :) I tried to add a lot of neat stuff to look at.
That was better than most syfy movies done by big name studios. Good job.
Thank you! :) The big name studios seem to be chained to conventions that keep them from making new and fresh stuff. In that respect I'm kind of glad I'm just a RUclipsr :D
This is beyond a masterpiece.
So many creature designs in one Vid -- you are spoiling us -- now give us MORE! ;)
Feed the Beast!
Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed it :) There will be more weirdness shortly.
Awesome creature design, the alien ecosystem is very well done!!
Thank you very much! :)
Beautiful work!
Thank you ! :)
I just started trying stop motion. I make my own monsters. I really like your channel. And very much enjoyed this one
Thank you, and good luck with your animation. The stop-motion craft needs more creators, so keep going :)
Felt like I was watching a toonier version of Discovery Channel's Alien Planet.
With less pixels and more latex :)
I love how bizarre this was.
Thanks! 😊
HAVE GUN-POLE!-WILL TRAVEL! (A KNIGHT WITH ARMOR IN A (VERY) SAVAGE LAND! (Hey Richard Svensson!-'Seen Much Nostalgic American T.V. Westerns?!)
I've probably watched too much "Ancient Aliens" :)
yes, a very Lovecraft-inspired thing. That's what came to my mind in the opening minutes.
I'm fascinated by prehistory's extinct critters too. I'm thinking of making a video featuring some of them.
I'm thinking of tackling Yuggoth as a subject eventually. I'll see how I can frame it. Meanwhile, if you haven't seen it, there's a Ghooric Zone zoological panorama over at my DeviantArt page you can explore: www.deviantart.com/loneanimator/art/Ghooric-Zone-Panorama-882071837
@@TheLoneAnimator this is simply epic, thank you very much.
Your latest stop-motion monster-fest is like Japanese Ufology, H.P. Lovecraft, and Wayne Douglas Barlowe's "Expedition" merged into one tippy travelogue. I love it! The Lovecraft film festivals were all fools for ignoring your works, those overrated edge-lords!
Thanks! I tried to do something that was "weird", but within a context, in this case a scientific or military expedition.
Masterful. Such weird, totally alien creatures. I also noticed that the alien traveller was modelled after a certain , ancient clay-figure, indicating that he (?) visited earth in ancient times.
That'd be a good story in it of itself to animate
That was actually my idea, that this astronaut, or his race, had visited Earth many thousands of years ago.
