- Here is my video walk-through of the Western Pool & Spa Show which is held every March in Long Beach Ca. Pool Trade shows are a great way to meet the faces behind the companies from whom we purchase thousands of dollars worth of equipment, chemicals, and supplies. I believe the Western Pool & Spa Show is one of the premier events in the swimming pool industry.

Of course, at every show are the big three. Pentair, Fluidra, and Hayward. Then you have a bunch of smaller players and individual companies as well as companies geared towards the construction end. Let me touch on a few notable companies at the show.
In reverse order as shown in the video are some of the companies, I highlighted at this year's show. Advantage Manufacturing makes great portable filtration systems and service carts. They are a family-owned business, and they have the pool trade professional in mind with everything they do. Here are some videos I filmed for them.

On the other end of the table is HASA which is one of the biggest, if not the biggest producers of liquid chlorine in the nation or at least on the West coast. Liquid chlorine has one big advantage over Tri-Chlor tablets and that is it contains no Cyunaric Acid or stabilizer. So you are not raising the pool’s CYA level when you use liquid chlorine. It is also readily available and hopefully this year more so than last year.

I really want some of those Primate poles, they are just so expensive. Can't wait to see more on that Polaris suction side cleaner. I hope they made a version of the MX8 that doesn't need maintenance every 3 months.
All the parts have been redone for the Atlas XT - new engine, new beefed up tracks and new directional devices. Should be bullet proof. 👊
If you use the black A and B drives, they last a very long time. The only maintenance I do on all the MX8s on my route and in my own pool, is replace the rubber tracks once a year.
@@speedracerjeff Yea I haven't had as much of a problem once I got the new drive cassettes with that. The biggest problem has always been spending 18 dollars PER TRACK every 3 months. I dont even run my machine fast, in fact it's quite slow. I have a VSP and 2 skimmers, that thing gets barely enough power and the tracks still run out that quick.

No more free truck raffle eh? I think it’s been 3 years since they gave away the truck. I knew the pool guy that won the last truck, it was a 2019 V6 Ram 1500 I believe, and he lived and worked up in Central CA.

Can you do a video on how to ground a pool pump with the process of putting a stake in the ground and putting a wire from the stake to the pump. I have a pool pump with no ground nor a stake to put a wire to and it electrocutes me.
I've seen one on RUclips before. Can't remember where.

Currently the Primate pole. The Ultimate pole looks like a good product as well.
