The Old Oak

I find trees, especially Old Oaks inspiring. There's a timelessness to them - spanning 100s of years; they watch us come and go!
There's a book called "The Glorious Life of the OAK" by John Lewis-Stempel that I'd encourage anyone to read. He is one of the finest nature writers and this book is fascinating and humbling.
