That's exactly how I do it. I usually use the rubber bumblebee custom cover with a rycote. I've had those bumble bee stickies come loose before, so now I'm 100% rycote. I'll also add a windcover if it's windy out.
Great video! I'm working through your modules and haven't gotten to the full audio section yet. Do you recommend the Tentacle sync over the Tascam DR 10L Pro's ? I purchased the latter about a year ago and it has been great, but I've been hearing lots of buzz over Tentacle sync. The phone feature seems to be easy to use as well.
Pros and cons! The biggest pro of the tentacles is for filmmakers who want to utilize Timecode. Thats arguably the biggest reason I'd buy them over the Tascams - BUT its also so nice just being able to control all the mics from an app. The big con is how expensive they are. The tascams, in my opinion, are the best bang-for-buck lav mic out there. Incredible quality, beautifully affordable price

So the reusable plastic bubblebee mic protector works with these, or do you not use it anymore? I looked it up and it seems like they have a few for a few different lav mics, but not the Tascam or the Tentacle lav mics.

Yes sometimes on very hot days, but we learned to just double tape it! Also depends on the suit coat

We still have those - and yes you just buy the Seinheisser M2 ones, those work with Tentacles and Tascams. But we just prefer the wind covers

Sennheiser G4 mics sound WAY better than these, but the connivence of the app it really nice
yeah in the wedding industry you don't want to have wireless transmission mics - its one more thing to worry about messing up the DJ's frequency!
