I'd love if you did a video on how you choose where to do a first look. What do you look for? What are some general rules you follow when it comes to picking a spot or how to shoot it? Do you always try to pick a shady area or do you ever film in the direct sun? I know the general rule is to film with the sun/light behind them.
Hiii. Absolutely stunning end result and always a treat watching the whole process. Question, what mode is your gimbal on that it stays where you want it, without it moving off slightly.
The dynamic range and color grading is just too damn good 🙌🏻 I recently saw your short video of you and your guys playing Kubb (?) and fell in love with the look of that too - was that FX3 and the 50 1.2 too? Or maybe it was the C70 and your color grading is just utterly goated haha
Love the talk through of the process! How do you get the low angle shots so smooth!? I have lots of jitters everytime I try these low shots or where the gimbal is tilted awkwardly
Hello, Please tell me - how do you set the focus in the camera while filming - do you use an automatic lens or block it manually? I see good sharpness in your film. I watched How to Film First Looks and I see that you are filming from behind flowers, leaves, etc. and the sharpness is ok. And one more question - do you use ND filters - if so, which ones - I also have Sony lenses.
If you ask me your wedding videos are the best ones you can find on youtube! absolutely professional. any chances that you make a video on how to edit a wedding film?
Really cool work! I have a quick question, if you don't mind. How do you generally expose with the FX3 while shooting weddings in Slog3? Do you go for a standard 0 exposure or do you use the ETTR method to about +1.3 - 1.7 stops? Thanks a million!
Jake amazing video as always... I have a quick question about this particular shoot, why didn't you use an ND filter? and also how did you manage to nail the shots that the bystanders could be seen in your background or you didn''t mind cuz of your depth of field?
Another thing I would really be interested in is a posing guide for couples video from you..... just something to help portray your couples in the most flattering way possible while making them comfortable as well. Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to more great stuff from you as always ♥
"if you guys have any questions..." Sooo, I've got a whole week's shoot in Mapleton in mid-July, my question is this... when do I get to try those world-famous briskets? XD Love the video as usual jake and nate. Thank you guys for the inspiration and education.
Was that track at the end in mono? Love the shots and direction to the couple. That FX3 is a beast in such a small form factor. Nate didn't break anything today! Good job, Nate! 🤣
Amazing colors. Thanks for the video. I already bought your luts. What is your shutter speed in 1.2 aperture , 60fps if you have a beauthiful sunny weather like this and you don't use ND? It's not visible in slow motion.
Also, I’m eagerly awaiting your ZVE1 videos before dropping my cash on one 😁 really struggling to decide between the lightweight and small 50mm 2.5 or just going full send with the 1.2
Dynamic Range is awesome. That white dress in direct sunlight with harsh shadows and looks great and detail retained throughout the color light spectrum from what I can see! Sony for the W.
@@JakeWeislerso when some say you should always over expose a bit (sure maybe not two stops, but still over expose slightly) that wouldn’t be necessary then? (I’m new to slog3 btw)
@@JakeWeisler yeas I understand but without ND filter it will be 1/2000 sec - I have same lens and during day it is even less. Do you have same settings or are you going down with F? Thanks

Loved it. I found my self laughing at all your cringe comments Jake 🤣 my wife does the same thing when we’re shooting couples and I just look at her 😑 like what just came out of your mouth
"Very common in Utah culture" this blew. my mind. Florida filmmaker here. First look weeks before the wedding sound soooooo wild

always waiting for this .. ♥️
11:25 this shot is a killer ..
waiting for the final edit . ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you!!
There are three things you can look at endlessly. Water, fire and how you shoot videos
Hahaha love it 🎉
Okay fine, ill buy the 50 1.2 and some new Nike Killshots 🔥This was so good you guys
Hahahaha I love you bro 🎉
Great work
Nice move gear
So light and sharper
I love this channel 🔥🔥🔥 which picture profile do you use for the fx3?
I think he typically shoots in slog3.
I just started getting into wedding videography. I have a long way to go. Vids like this make me feel the inspo for sure 🎉
This is 🔥 work. Great job, hot stuff.

look like 3d render

My biggest advice is just to slow down. I bet you’re just going too fast! Slow down, take deep breaths, and SWAY instead of stepping

killer edit, love it
do you switch between auto and manual focusing?

Oh it might have been to be honest, did you watch it with headphones ?
@@JakeWeisler I did. Actually gave it more of a nostalgic vibe. I dig it 👊
Which LAV / bumblebee LAV concealer are you using with the the DR10L ?
The one that works with the Sennheiser ME 2 works beautifully
I'm waiting for FX3MII in the fall
Is it fairly typical that you wont use ND's, or do you generally use them?
Do you work with eye focus? Personally, I can't see anything with the camera monitor, so I take a bigger monitor for that.
Yeah this whole video was shot with eye focus. It freaked out on me a few times but that’s probably because I was at 1.2 lol
@@JakeWeisler Which means 1.2 lol?
What do you mean 1,2 lol?

I have a question! What kind of website do you use for music and presets?
Link in description for music and colors!!
Perfect! ❤
what lens do u use?
"I love depth" - Jake Weisler
Good work👍from Hungary😉
no ND , u add motion blur in post ? just curious
Most the poses don’t have a lot of motion to begin with so not really needed!

Yes!! Love that setting

Sony big time winning at this shoot 🎉
Can you do a video on how your expose for Slog 3?
Honestly I just expose properly - no over exposing or anything. Just make sure my histogram is even

why would I use a lens hood?

3.5 hours for first look, b+g portraits, solos and money shots is insane. You're lucky to get 30 minutes during a regular wedding in California.
Yeah this is common in Utah but 90% of our weddings we only get 10 minutes
Good video, but i would have reshot the 14:17 part, seems to be fucus hunting quite fast.
You can’t reshoot a first look, it’s a reaction that happens once - it’s only real once!
