The dynamic range and color grading is just too damn good 🙌🏻 I recently saw your short video of you and your guys playing Kubb (?) and fell in love with the look of that too - was that FX3 and the 50 1.2 too? Or maybe it was the C70 and your color grading is just utterly goated haha

I'd love if you did a video on how you choose where to do a first look. What do you look for? What are some general rules you follow when it comes to picking a spot or how to shoot it? Do you always try to pick a shady area or do you ever film in the direct sun? I know the general rule is to film with the sun/light behind them.

Amazing colors. Thanks for the video. I already bought your luts. What is your shutter speed in 1.2 aperture , 60fps if you have a beauthiful sunny weather like this and you don't use ND? It's not visible in slow motion.
Love the talk through of the process! How do you get the low angle shots so smooth!? I have lots of jitters everytime I try these low shots or where the gimbal is tilted awkwardly
My biggest advice is just to slow down. I bet you’re just going too fast! Slow down, take deep breaths, and SWAY instead of stepping
Jake amazing video as always... I have a quick question about this particular shoot, why didn't you use an ND filter? and also how did you manage to nail the shots that the bystanders could be seen in your background or you didn''t mind cuz of your depth of field?
Another thing I would really be interested in is a posing guide for couples video from you..... just something to help portray your couples in the most flattering way possible while making them comfortable as well. Really cool work! I have a quick question, if you don't mind. How do you generally expose with the FX3 while shooting weddings in Slog3? Do you go for a standard 0 exposure or do you use the ETTR method to about +1.3 - 1.7 stops? Thanks a million!
Don’t quote me on this but i dont think you need to over expose anymore. I never do - just expose +0.0

Dynamic Range is awesome. That white dress in direct sunlight with harsh shadows and looks great and detail retained throughout the color light spectrum from what I can see! Sony for the W.

Is it fairly typical that you wont use ND's, or do you generally use them?
No ND filter, I don't like either :) I use the same setup. The only difference is A7S3 instead of FX3.
So easy when you have a photographer that isn't barking orders every 3 and a half seconds lmao

Most the poses don’t have a lot of motion to begin with so not really needed!

Can you do a video on how your expose for Slog 3?
Honestly I just expose properly - no over exposing or anything. Just make sure my histogram is even
@@JakeWeislerso when some say you should always over expose a bit (sure maybe not two stops, but still over expose slightly) that wouldn’t be necessary then? (I’m new to slog3 btw)

Do you work with eye focus? Personally, I can't see anything with the camera monitor, so I take a bigger monitor for that.
Yeah this whole video was shot with eye focus. It freaked out on me a few times but that’s probably because I was at 1.2 lol

It just has to be at least double your frame rate :)

You can’t reshoot a first look, it’s a reaction that happens once - it’s only real once!
