9:10 Everything Puffer said is true. Those suits cost between $2000-$10000 EACH. The more complex the shape and design is, the more they cost. Considering that they get payed between $100-$1500 per art commission based on their skill, furries can and will make more money than any one of you in this comment section from what started as doodling in middle school. Commissions take anywhere from an hour to a week.
Cross that with the fact that each suit is handmade, they also have a skill trade that can be used to get an actual job, if the need ever arises.
The most interesting fact about thi is, however, that there's at least one model and one lawyer in that group. There's high level people that do this.
With all these facts together, they can shrug off any comments they get because at the end of the day, on average they make more money than any and all of their haters.
I know this firsthand, because I used to be in this community. I never had one of those suits, though. I left when it became super woke.
The "murrsuiters" (the people that shag each other in those) are heavily looked down upon and seen as plain gross.
I'm not a fan of furries. Like you do you as long as you don't hurt anyone. But I gotta give it up for ones that make their own fur suit or make fur suits for their job. They have some serious talent.

Yeah. And from what I've heard from another Irish RUclipsr, no one even wants to learn it anymore but it's mandatory in schooling and you have to take this test on it and all this crap. Everyone just prefers English, and it's spoken way more than Gaelic.

Going to turn out just like it does in America where you take the class to get a grade and once you're out you never use it ever again... That being said I still think it should be an option but not mandatory, I learned a decent amount of German in high school.

That first video had madness
Fr fursuits are expensive AF. But I can tell you exactly why, they take FOREVER to make! I used to be a suit maker, mid range suits nothing like pro level but I did good enough, and for a head alone from me was 800. Which is actually kinda low because just in the hours of sewing the head alone was easily 20 hours and that's with no markings. Not to mention the materials aren't cheap either. So that's why they're pricy because it's honestly really hard to do.

For the potato famine I don't think the U.S mentioned anything about why the Irish migrated into the southern states of the U.S. AS FAR as I remember is that potatoes were basically unedible bc the soil was awful or something contaminated everything and ruined the crops and killed many people who ate those potatoes. Texas history isn't good alright lol

I live in the state of Oregon, and our highschools don't really touch on much history outside of America either. The only thing I learned about Ireland from highschool was tidbits on the Catholic takeover there and that they were hungry for a while and some peeps had to practice cannibalism to survive.
There was this super sarcastic essay written by some British dude called A Modest Proposal that suggested the Irish sell their kids as food to rich people during the famine. We only learned that because we were learning about sarcasm in writing, because this was in a writing class, not history. 😅
@Rose's Zen Garden well thats also largely due to the fact we are not prepared for snow, I lived here all my life and only ever had snow happen 3 times in 22 years. We don't protect resources against the cold and we don't supply on things like snow tires, plows or any of that cause we never have snow and even when we do it disappears around noon every time.
