The ZZZTop beard is a goal worth trying for but apparently not gonna happen. Ya look ood with short goatee. And hair buzzed of course. Just my opinion.
Just when u think u seen it all when it comes to post 10's wild adventures,....bam!!! Hit ya with the " i aint scared of no hurricane " video. He said it himself in the first min of the video,..everyones heading north,...not him,..going south to camp!! Lmmfao. The balls on this dude! Love it! You ever need a couple to hang out with if your ever near Indiana, hit me up! Your awesome! And please keep up the long videos. The longer the better. I get sad when they end. Thanks again post!
I didn't intend to spend so much time watching videos tonight but this was interesting and it's waaaay later than I should still be awake! Thanks for taking us along on the trip. It's a place that I'll never go so I appreciate it! Best wishes to you and yours and have a great Christmas. Hope your grandad is well too.
Been awhile since I’ve tuned in to your channel. You’ve matured well. Am glad you’ve chosen the Everglades. I’m new to Florida myself and am always looking for new interesting places. Keep up the good work.
This was 3 fabulous hours watching and relaxing you on an amazing adventure camp trip. Fabulous location and the sunset and sunrise were to die for. Amazing trek too👌
Although not very far in, around midway through hunting season I did a campout in the woods near my house and some sand pits with a friend here in Maine. Stayed out 3 days. I love this stuff I usually like to do it atleast once every 2-3 months, but would like to do it more often. Whether its the woods or stealth camping. Packed up a pan, some bacon, salmon, and various snacks to roast. Also door dashed Burger King at one point lol. And of course got a little bit of some jager for the journey. Saw alot of buck throughout those few days and a big gray owl as well. May go again soon before the snow really starts to hit.
To me this is hands down your best video so far. Hiking for that long in the heat, mud and water was seriously impressive especially since you said yourself you are a bit out of shape. Your comments about stuff you see are always interesting and enjoyable. I also like how you always seem so happy and positive even in difficult situations. Merry Christmas and happy new year Post!
Yeah, if that would've been _me_ , I would've moaned and complained throughout most of the video, putting everyone off from watching it! 😅 Still, this is super-inspiring stuff! 😍👍
Interestingly from some reading I did I found that area was drained and cleared for use as farmland back in the early 1900s. That spot where you walked over the filled in ditch was one of the drainage canals that was plugged some years back to stop the heavy intrusion of salt water into what used to be freshwater lakes and marshes. Lots of interesting history to be read of that area. As always I enjoyed the video and am looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks!
@@concerned430 There were drainage canals constructed all over the Everglades including the area post was visiting. Doing a simple search on google earth of the area allows you to clearly see the canals that have mostly all been closed off now. I will link a very informative article that addresses the exact area post was visiting.
Omg no way! I dont get notifications from you, post. Im not sure why, but anyway i thought, i wonder if post has any new camping videos, and say less my friend, i see youve just uploaded this a few hours ago! Love it! About to begin it now! Thanks post!
Love listening to the waves hit the shore. Relaxing sound. This is one of my very favorites... because I love the Beaches, etc. This is one time I could be there. Thank you, Post. More!!!
This was amazing. I got to see an area I’ve always wanted to visit. It was such a nice visit/tour/ stay! Thank you so much. The birds were lovely but I have to admit the bugs are not something I would look forward too. Appreciate the visit to the Everglades! 😊👍
Thanks post for the video. As someone who enjoys the swampy areas of the states. I enjoyed this video. Early Christmas/birthday present. Anyway have a Merry Christmas and a good new year.
As a Florida native I really enjoyed this video. That was a brutal hike! As I'm sure you are aware, a much lighter pack will make your journey much easier. Water isn't light, but there are other options to reduce your load. Great photography and commentary. Thank you.
Great video Post! That hike looked brutal! I also didn't realize that cockroaches just roamed free down there. Makes me appreciate Iowa's frigid winters a little more. I always wanted to live in Florida but as I get older the heat bothers me more than it used to when working hard. Still doesn't bother me at all while lounging or light exertion but it drains my thiamine levels quickly if I'm over exerting in high temps and humidity. That leads to some serious health issues. Last month I was your age. Now I'm 40. I don't understand time lol.
Thanks for risking your self and going in that swamp I have driven past there so many times and always wondered what it would be like inside the swamps I will leave it to you you are a true pro! 😊
I am so glad to see this video. I was in and out of the hospital with a brand new health dx 🙁 and am on immunosuppressive drugs for the foreseeable future. Which means my outdoor time is limited more than usual because I have to avoid getting sick. So it’s going to be a longer winter than I’d like. Your videos will be a welcome distraction and I’ll probably be rewatching most of them. I hope you have an awesome Christmas. I’m looking forward to your winter camping videos! ❤
With your adventures taking you backpacking more it might be time to upgrade to a "backpacking" pack. I have a Kelty Coyote and it will carry A LOT of weight and still be comfortable AND it's still not super expensive. They go up to 105 liters which is a huge pack. Really makes carrying a lot of weight easy. Keep up the amazing work!
My wife and I went to Key Largo for our honeymoon back in June, 2007. We took a day and went to the Everglades National Park and took the ride to the Flamingo Visitor Center. The center was basically abandoned due to the incredible damage from Hurricane Wilma and Rita two years prior. I loved the area, it was absolutely beautiful. Glad to see the Flamingo Center has rebounded. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
The eye of Hurricane Wilma came right over Delray Beach were I live we all thought the storm was over when the wind stopped then the wind came from the other way the more damaging side of the storm.
This video is awesome ❤ so interesting and exciting 😁. I was worried about passing out from the extreme hike and humidity. You made it of course and as always the video was great. 🎉 LOVE your videos!!😊 Georgia Fan 🙌
Hello from Cleveland Ohio! I just came across this, and loved watching it! ❤ Great video! Well done! Thank you for sharing your adventure! I liked and subscribed immediately 😀
Though I’m not that far away from this location, I’m getting too old for the hike, so thanks very much for this video! I believe the insects that you described as halfway between a cricket and a rolly polly, are camel crickets that love damp and shady areas, but are harmless. Best of luck on your adventures. 😊
For excursions like this, consider Gatorlyte or LMNT packets to supplement your water bottles. Water and salt electrolytes along with magnesium compounds will certainly help. It won't help with soreness after the fact, but it helps to get you through the struggle in the moment. A banana is good, but takes time to digest. Also, if fresh fruits are your preference over water additives, Citrus fruits, mainly orange, will work.
You have no clue (or maybe you do) how happy you make me with these long camping videos! Thanks, Post!
He’s the best.
It's so relaxing
@Okikor1 OHMYGAWD SSHHHHHHHH!
Geez!
Gator crocs and post ten
One word: chiggers!
You have a lot of people who really appreciate everything that you do. have a great Christmas
He sure does. He’s my favourite.
Love falling asleep to these videos playing in the background
Fantastic travel adventure.
Our household has been watching this in 30 minute episodes over the Christmas holidays. Much better than most TV.
That's how I'd been doing it, too. Very nice addition to my Christmas for sure! 😊
You're such a genuine guy. Shows in every video.
The ZZZTop beard is a goal worth trying for but apparently not gonna happen.

@@anthonyyoung8973 - That beard was the result of neglect, would be _my_ guess! 😅
@mightyV444
Nah, he letting it grow out to see what happens.
His adorable woman likes it so doesn't matter what we think lol
@anthonyyoung8973 - 'Thigh tickler' comes to my mind 😅
3 hours and 22 minutes! This is "The Titanic" length - thank you!
Yes, and Godfather 2
And 'Gone With The Wind'! 😀

Not so only the northern and central everglades, just looked it up, was not all the Everglades.

Just a tip if i may. When camping at very wet or flooded terrain, best bet its a hammock. Keep you off water and a high position from the ground.
But It needs to be a hammock with bug screen or you will regret it

It’s so cool this area is part of our country. I gotta check it out.
Those cockroaches are actually palmetto bugs down there! They get huge! 🪳🪳 Thanks for such an awesome video! 👍
Bugs are high in protein, so I was thinking about how to cook cockroaches 🪳 🤔. Boiled or roasted 🤷♀️

Thanks for showing this area of Florida. As I live in Germany it looks very strange to me. But also very interesting.
