Singer Robert Plant & guitarist Jimmy Page actually drove through the desert, they were on their way to a music festival in Morocco. The road they drove on seemed to last forever, though beautiful was also a long strange journey. It’s about meeting the people, & their travels. Plant wrote the beautiful lyrics, though Page & drummer John Bonham took about 2 years writing the music, bass guitarist John Paul Jones arranged the music. It is the masterpiece all band members are most proud of, among several of their masterpieces. I believe the title Kashmir, was more a state of mind, then the actual place since none of them had been to Kashmir. I know Plant fell in love with Morocco, & visits it often, thank you for your reaction. I know you loved the whole song, but watching your reaction to the drums, Bonham has a live 15 minute drum solo called Moby Dick live at Royal Albert Hall (1970). It’s great watching the greatest drummer ever, highlighted doing his thing, he performed his solo live over 400 times.
@@sicotshit7068 oh that kashmir. the one that doesn't exist. we're both right. there is no song with the title Kashmir without the place along the India Pakistan border, but also, they were driving though Morocco when they wrote it.

Led Zeppelin had no boundaries.
or shame. Jimmy Page is the most notorious musical thief in history.
They were absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!
They never played their songs exactly the same twice, it’s played around the main structure, but Plant & or Page improvised often.
@@sicotshit7068 Oo Ok❤️
I swear...EACH ONE OF THEM were the BEST at their instruments!! And Jimmy produced all their albums!!
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
This is absolutely about the place in India.
No not really, none of the band members had ever been to Kashmir.
@@sicotshit7068 so which kashmir is it about?
@@oneilprovost2287 it’s about a state of mind, not the actual place.

@ yes I know they were driving through the desert, to Morocco going to a music festival. I’m done contemplating about their Kashmir meaning.
