About Kabhi Main kabhi tum I 100% agree with Amna. Rubab's character is a mentally damaged one, but in her mind, she does love Adeel. At the same time, she is very insecure, and clingy is the term I would use. She has attachment and abandonment issues. So her love is more like obsession and very controlling. Adeel, on the other hand, is a narcissist who always wants what he sees as the best. If he had married Sharjeena, he would not have appreciated a single thing about her but would always make her feel small and break her down. Commenting on her family, her style, her personality, etc. He is the personification of "dur ke dhol suhane." He has zero romantic feelings for her. He just wanted a wife who would wait on him and make him feel like a big man, whom he could then control.
Adele is ambitious but he is realizing money is not everything. He has little respect in his relationship with Rubarb due to class and money. He is use to his family in particular his mother giving him importance. Adele is jealous of his brother and sharjeena.
I agree with Amna about Rubab. Rubab isn't a bad person, she's an anxiously attached person which comes from her parents and their relationship with her. She's insecure and therefore she tries to regulate her obsessive emotions and thoughts when she thinks of Adeel leaving her. She's also someone who might not have gotten appreciation from people around her for who she is because as a society we are much more inclined to appreciate beautiful people and parents do this too which explains her obsession with good-looking people. I don't agree with Hassan and also the suggestion that he's an idiotic control freak which she is but Adeel is fuelling her insecurities because her gut is right in case of him - he does want sharjeena and Rubab isn't a plan pagal for thinking so.

Now, he is doing everything he can to keep Sharjeena and Mustafa apart. Rubab's father is correct when he says Adeel is taking advantage of her. I genuinely feel bad for Rubab.

It is only her who makes the distinctions between her two sons. She constantly degrades Mustafa in order to make Adeel feel superior. That woman has the nerve to ask Sharjeena, who is Mustafa's wife, about why Mustafa is receiving breakfast before Adeel.
The only person Adeel loves is Adeel. His decisions are calculated to maximize his own advantages and privileges. The only love Adeel factors in is the love he has for himself.

I agree. I'm not specifically talking about his particular review but generally, I've observed that many times Hassan gets fixated on unnecessary points. I don't mind that too because at times he highlights points that others overlook. However, dragging those points to the extent that they take most of the time reserved for that drama review is annoying.

KMKT: As much as I love Farhat Ishtiaq as a writer, I find her somewhat reliance on eavesdropping and at or leaving at tipping point a weakness. Humsafar had this, Diyar e Dil and now this. Sharjeena listened to aunt and married Mustafa and now this. It felt too convenient for a misunderstanding to brew. Also, Sharjeena is too perfect: a perfect bahu, wife and beti. For Rubab, I think she is too negative like it reminded me of Sara from Humsafar: she is possessive, harms her husband’s in law and arrogant and elitist. Rubab does love him but it’s unhealthy. I agree with Amna ma’am and Hassan is absolutely wrong about Adeel. He isn’t in love at all, he wants to have her as a prize and a consolation to his ego of being rejected for someone like his brother. Had he been in love, we would’ve seen him actually being concerned about her and how much she is losing. His point of contention is Mustafa and revolves around that; how even after being inferior to him got a perfect wife like Sharjeena who cares for him and treats him as her husband and she is happy with him. And I think she's a little too blind in love to not see that. And God no, Adeel didn't have any romantic interest in Sharjeena. It's just that he is jealous of how good life currently is for his "loser" brother. He probably thought that she would pine after him. But seeing them happy together is making him realise what he missed . He doesn't love her, but wants to pretend that he is sorry for what he did. If you GO BACK AND WATCH THE SCENE IN THE RESTAURANT where he rejected Sharjeena you can clearly see that HE HAS NO EMOTIONS WHATSOEVER towards her. He was brutal in his rejection. But he had actually assumed that he was a prize catch for Sharjeena and that she loved him. How could she not, when Adeel is so perfect? And it bothers him that she did not see him as a prize catch, did not pine for him, was not broken by his rejection and actually seems happy with someone who he and his family regard as a completely useless person. He is attracted to Sharjeena's devotion even to a good-for-nothing husband and to her capacity to make her husband feel special. That is a sentiment HIS MOTHER AND SISTER HAVE ALWAYS SHOWN TOWARDS ADEEL, AND NEVER TOWARDS MUSTAFA. And he cannot help imagining how it is ONLY HE who should have a wife like Sharjeena who is devoted to him and reminds him constantly of how special he is.

KMKT: As much as I love Farhat Ishtiaq as a writer, I find her somewhat reliance on eavesdropping and at or leaving at tipping point a weakness. Humsafar had this, Diyar e Dil and now this. Sharjeena listened to aunt and married Mustafa and now this. It felt too convenient for a misunderstanding to brew. Also, Sharjeena is too perfect: a perfect bahu, wife and beti. For Rubab, I think she is too negative like it reminded me of Sara from Humsafar: she is possessive, harms her husband’s in law and arrogant and elitist. Rubab does love him but it’s unhealthy.
I agree with Amna ma’am and Hassan is absolutely wrong about Adeel. He isn’t in love at all, he wants to have her as a prize and a consolation to his ego of being rejected for someone like his brother. Had he been in love, we would’ve seen him actually being concerned about her and how much she is losing. Yes she does. She seems to have what is called an anxious attachment style and abandonment issues which makes sense because of her family life. She also might have daddy issues in the mix. She also might not feel like she is the prettiest and is insecure about sharjeena being beautiful.

Adeel does NOT love sharjeena. He shows traits of narcissism. Dreams of grandeur. Less remorse and empathy. This is because he was raised believing HE IS THE BEST. And he deserved the best so such people start to see relationships as trophies and achievements. They don't form healthy love and connection. They like to be catered to and worshipped. Only when they feel inferior in a relationship do they stop wanting to be in it. Like in the case of rubab
He does not love sharjeena. He wanted sharjeena to still feel like she lost something special instead of thinking she deserves better than him. He actually thought shed miss him and pine after him and that would have assuaged his EGO. He simply envies how Mustafa gets the kind of love and attention and catering that he wanted from a partner. Adeel has a superiority complex and can only survive if someone worships him. He also has BEFORE never felt threatened by Mustafa because Mustafa sat back and let Adeel have the spotlight but for the first time EVER. Mustafa got something he seems to want.

If you GO BACK AND WATCH THE SCENE IN THE RESTAURANT where he rejected Sharjeena you can clearly see that HE HAS NO EMOTIONS WHATSOEVER towards her. He was brutal in his rejection. But he had actually assumed that he was a prize catch for Sharjeena and that she loved him. How could she not, when Adeel is so perfect? And it bothers him that she did not see him as a prize catch, did not pine for him, was not broken by his rejection and actually seems happy with someone who he and his family regard as a completely useless person.
He is attracted to Sharjeena's devotion even to a good-for-nothing husband and to her capacity to make her husband feel special. That is a sentiment HIS MOTHER AND SISTER HAVE ALWAYS SHOWN TOWARDS ADEEL, AND NEVER TOWARDS MUSTAFA. And he cannot help imagining how it is ONLY HE who should have a wife like Sharjeena who is devoted to him and reminds him constantly of how special he is.
