Actually am pleased with the NYC government for once. Everyone has a right to peaceful protest but these people are breaking windows, occupying buildings, threatening Jewish students, etc. I am thankful for the governments police response.

As a liberal dem who went to a liberal arts college on the west coast.
All I can say is that this is what happens when you have a concerted effort to hire and enroll DEI over all other categories for over a decade. The universities have lost the plot and pushed out the academics. So now they’re activism factories. Which isn’t particularly useful for society.
We need scientists, engineers, not womens studies. And if you’re gonna teach a soft topic, we need historians grounded in fact rather than grievance nursers.

Consequences of an inability to grasp the complexities of foreign policy. These protestors act as of Palestinians are somehow helpless victims. As if they did nothing to provoke Israel. There is a fundamental right to a PEACEFUL protest ; not destruction or vandalism.I would just like to add that I as a young student ( I’m now almost 70) we protested many injustices ( Vietnam and Roe v Wade) and never resorted to this behavior; and we still had to face police actions. The protests I was a part of NEVER resorted to mayhem; although others may have.

This isn't a war. A war suggests two armies fighting. This is one military, exterminating a civilian population, under the guise of 'self defense'. Something like 3% of Palestine's population exterminated in a matter of months. Russia's brutality in Ukraine doesn't come anywhere close to that. There's good reason why no nation, except the one that's on their payroll, supports any of this. Even here in passive Japan, protests against Israel's brutality are now seen daily by Japanese of all ages and from all walks of life.
