I really like your conservation effort with running a dairy. Your farm is always clean! Most of the time, large farms get a bad rap for run off in streams and rivers and the smell (I bet its bad when you spread) but you are truly making the effort to keep the environment clean. I also like your strip farming method. It adds character to the landscape and is visually pleasing to the eye. The treatment of your animals is also top notch. They're clean, healthy and happy to give milk, according to the same one in the front all the time!!!
Good to see pop get first mow on the toro. You could tell he was liking it. You two guys are a great team. Thanks for your great videos. I always enjoy them
I love mowing. I volunteered to mow where I work. When you're getting paid to mow it just makes it all the better. We have a Dixie Chopper with a 60" deck. A 25 HP Briggs & Stratton gives all the power it needs. I pull the blades off every third mowing to sharpen. Makes all the difference in the world. Except the first couple mows of the year. I hit so much junk and rocks that I pull them after every mow.
When I'd go to the barn with my grandpa as a kid to watch cows being milked he'd always giggle and go smell that... It's the smell of money... The mix of manure being pumped and fresh cut grass has to be a heck of a mix!!
Nice new mower. It cuts great and can get into tight spots. Your dad looked like he was having fun mowing with the new mower. The drone footage with the music overlooking the field was great!!!!
I think it's great that you use the specialized farm services and rentals that you show. It's much more sensible than each independent farmer trying to own all their own everything and having it sit around the remaining 90-percent of the season just depreciating. Don't beat yourself up on your vert coming up a bit short today.
Second post by me today . . . May seem strange to some, but seeing the use of the manure on fields is really an awesome use of natural, renewable resources. Also a very traditional, spiritual way for people to spend their lives . . . Tilling the soil. Thanks for sharing this Eric, Dennis and family!
Nice mower! We run an older toro on our farm and it’s always been a solid unit! I’m gonna start hauling our liquid Monday if the weather allows for it!
Awe man we need a SaskDutchKid / 10thGenDairyman collab! Until 'rona is all good on both sides, maybe you could do a "how to" where one of you starts the vid and the other finishes it?
Great video Eric. Really glad that you have the custom manure folks unloading the pit and spreading on the fields. The spreader has a great spray on it. Looked pretty even and a great arch to the spread. Dairy made liquid fertilizer...the best🧐. Great to get the job done and you have no equipment to upkeep or fix and gives you time to have a little basketball practice. Loved the drone coverage .
Cutting grass and spreading manure, what more could a man ask for? Best of luck in your new season. Man it's good to see green grass and a honey pot on the move.
Steering a zero turn mower is harder than it looks. It took me awhile before I could mow and not run into anything like the garden or the side of the house. Your dad is a natural.
Mine is half full when it fills neck first time, then will leach down. Pouring slowly for a count of 100, I can get nearly 5 gallons of gas in it. I see you have weeds with little yellow flowers and ones with little blue ones and some charming dandelions! Thought you was mowing my yard😄😄😄 I love my Toro zero turn!!
We did the same thing when we were young, we lowered the rim to 9' and ended up bending the heck out of it, but it was a blast. Great video Eric. By the way, We love our grasshopper.
Love the content as always! Might recommend the first 2 outside passes to have the grass blown in so it stays off the drive. Then you can transition to the inside out cut. Just a suggestion.
I'm really glad u put that new mower up to full throttle before engaging the pto....the newer lawnmowers especially the zturns are susceptible to blade belt failure if there not full throttle before you engage them do to the massive weight of the blades and spindles spinning up
I just got my toro timecutter mx delivered last week. 74768 model, 50 inch deck with the MyRIDE suspension system. Pure joy to operate. John deere has alot to worry about
Wow been watching you from the beginning and your video making is getting much better this was a very good video loved it God bless keep up the good work
In regards to the mower, the black flap that sticks off the side to knock down any rocks that might shoot out. I recommend drilling a hole about an inch away from the end and using a bungee cord and putting the hook in the hole and lifting it up and wrapping it somewhere on the mower to keep the flap lifted up. It is a pain if it hits in to something when you are cutting and sticks out further than it needs to. I did this with my zero turn and I will take it off the bungee if I need to lower down anytime. Or you could just take it completely off. You probably don't really need it on yours.
We have a toro Mx 5400 had it about 3 years had to take the rops off we have a lot of trees and that thing kept catching on limbs and that thing has enough power it about top ya over back ward pretty quick 👍
I’ve probably already mowed like 6 or 7 times and Michigan is in a drought and the grass is green green green and growing like crazy and I believe it’s been almost a month since I started mowing my yard lol
Nothing better than watching a manure video while eating lunch!
Yeah it's soo good lol if I was eating and seeing a manure vid I would stop eating and maybe I will throw up
True
Doing the same lol.
Lol!! Yep, best thing to watch.
Way better than smelling manure while eating lunch! 😂😂🤣
I really like the ending with the drone footage and the little music
I could actually smell the grass as your dad started mowing! Love it!

Wowzer that mower really moves!!!!!
I love my Toro Titan Zero Turn!!! They are a beast! You wouldn't regret buying it! As fast as you want to mow it will handle it!
Good to see pop get first mow on the toro. You could tell he was liking it. You two guys are a great team. Thanks for your great videos. I always enjoy them
Your dad is going to be hired as a golf course grounds keeper if he keeps it up.😆👍thanks Eric appreciate you and your family.
That's what my dad did when he retired from dairy farming. He loved it. I still have a five gallon bucket of golf balls he gave me 20 years ago.

That drone footage with the music was awesome! Your videos just get better and better
I couldn't see your dad's face but it sure felt like he was having fun.
It's fun being on grass. lol
@@STONEDay are you frank tufano follower
Of course he was having fun. Why else would he be cutting grass that didn't need to be cut?
Nice mower! We run an older toro on our farm and it’s always been a solid unit! I’m gonna start hauling our liquid Monday if the weather allows for it!
Wow.. you here too..

Smam! I thought the same!!
Dairy farmers hauling manure is the perfume of spring in the countryside.
Can smell the fields through my phone! Impressive vertical... In work boots no less.

In Ireland that patch of grass would have a fence around it and have cows on it 😅😅. Like always a great video by Eric .
Cutting grass and spreading manure, what more could a man ask for? Best of luck in your new season. Man it's good to see green grass and a honey pot on the move.
Grass and gravy! Good day on the farm. Thanks for the reminders of my youth.

Keep it up with the good work or should I say great work. I can't wait for the new barn to be finished.
It is the greenest grass I have seen in awhile!
