Due to climate change, the river bed and small streams have dried up in many places, thus there is an urgent need to tackle this issues by stopping deforestation and adopting ground water recharge method. Here in ailawng village soil and water conservation measures like contour staggered trench, dugout pit and bench terrace are constructed for recharging the ground water.
