funnily enough, anakin hardly even did anything wrong in this timeline. he killed the sand people, sure, but that's over and forgotten. besides that, what did he do? he killed mace windu, justified in that it was in defense of palpatine, and he killed the separatists on mustafar, which was fully justified by him being a general ordered by a superior to kill leaders of the opposing party of an ongoing war. even if the precise truth of his situation was found out, i'm not sure any of it would blow up in his face either politically or in his relationship.
and in this timeline the only thing he did was cut a hand off in his mind he thought "ok mace has no hand he can calm down and after palpatine is in jail we can work on our" "UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" then anakin would question what have i done
Don't forget Tambor who deserved it too he starved millions of Twileks during his occupation of Ryloth and later took Echo as prisoner and used his algorithms to deliver crushing defeats at Anaxes
The funniest thing about this story is that due to Anakin only killing the Separatists, he doesn't really need redemption, as if the Separatist leaders were caught they'd be executed for their war crimes anyway. Meaning the only real blood on Anakins hands would be that of Mace Windu, but considering Mace was about to break the Jedi Code by killing an unarmed combatant after harping on Anakin for not strictly following the Jedi Code for the ENTIRE Clone Wars, I think Anakin did the Jedi a favor by removing someone as undeserving of the title of "Jedi" as Mace Windu.
A little problem: The restricted section of the Jedi Archives was still protected by Jocasta Nu and Cator (a Guardian-Protector Droid), which was basically a Battle Master at lightsaber combat. In the canon Darth Vader comic where we see Vader (now in his armor) raiding the Jedi Temple Archives, he has a tough time again Nu and Cator (which also identified Vader as Anakin based on his lightsaber combat style). Even if Jocasta Nu was not there at the time, Cator would be. And he would NOT allow Anakin to enter or access anything there. Also, I feel like the ending of this one was good. Anakin having to live with what he did, and even keep it a secret from his family. But I feel like it would eat at Anakin over time. And Padme is too smart to not figure it out eventually. Anakin would have to have truly made peace with his actions and secrets to be able to go on. Also, I think you made Anakin seem a little too guilty here, anyways. In this version of events, he only aided in the death of Windu (which was objectively justifiable, morally and legally, given Anakin's state of mind and Windu actually going rogue) and killed the CIS' leadership (who were the enemies of the Republic anyways, so I don't think that'd be a problem either way). Anakin's charges would be (at most): 1. Murder of the 15 members of the Separatist Council Given that these were the leaders of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the enemy of the Republic, during a time of war, it's almost certain Anakin would face no punishment for this. 2. Accomplice to the murder of Jedi Master of the Order, Mace Windu. Because Palpatine's nature as a Sith (and thus a Force user) was being concealed (mostly due to the general public's ignorance of the difference between Jedi and Sith), it could not be said that Palpatine was armed or dangerous, and therefore Mace Windu was wrong to use deadly force against him, and thus Anakin was right in turning against Windu. Also, in this version of events, Anakin had absolutely no part in Order 66 or Operation Knightfall. Not once did Anakin turn his blade against another Jedi with the intention of killing them or otherwise betraying the Jedi Order. He DID basically cause Windu's death, but he only disarmed Windu (but the fact Anakin was responsible for Windu's death would be concealed, as it would require revealing Palpatine's nature as a Sith, which would only cause more problems for the Jedi). It can be easily twisted to say that Anakin simply once again proved himself the hero of the Republic by single-handedly tracking down and eliminating the CIS' leaders, ending the war. Anakin did make a wrong choice, but in the end he did the right thing and helped his fellow Jedi.

@@OnionsUpwell technically speaking if they hid the fact palpatine was a Sith as no one would believe them at this point they would have to Essentially say that mace was in the wrong as I highly doubt palpatine would keep the exact plans he and his master made in the first place in one spot especially not the senate building also it would make them sound exactly like what happened in the movies with the whole Jedi taking over as mace and the Jedi did threaten him first because a lightsaber would be the same as me point a gun a you and saying you were under arrest without any hard evidence and a Sith I assume is a religion in Star Wars so it would actually be religious persecution without any knowledge of the events that occurred in the office

He would say everything on his mind. - Anakin goes to Mustafar and kills the Seperatist leaders. This will mark the official end to the Clone Wars for the senate later on. - Padmé will follow Anakin to Mustafar just like in the main timeline. She'll get a message from Bail Organa with the truth. - Obi-Wan is not there so there would be no duel. He wouldn't force shoke Padmé. - Obi-Wan & Yoda fight the Chancellor and he'll be killed. They'll both testify to the Senate and explain everything. - The Senate will declare the Clone Wars to be over and will return to being a Galactic Republic. Elections will happen later. - Padmé calms Anakin down and he accepts that his visions clouded his judgement and that he will better himself. - Anakin comes to the Light side once again and go with Padmé to the hospital. Luke, Leia & Padmé all will be healthy. - Anakin will later on contact Master Yoda & Obi-Wan to inform what really happened. He'll talk to the Jedi Council. - Anakin will leave the Jedi Order and will have a normal life, with Padmé, Luke, Leia, Ahsoka & Captain Rex on Naboo. - Jar Jar Binks will stay the Naboo senator and will step down later on for a new senator. The Bad Batch goes into retirement. - The Clone facility on Kamino will not be destroyed. Only thing I disagree with is Ben Solo being a thing. Overall 7-9 wouldnt happen at all. Han would either not be a smuggler or would never meet Lela in the first place so they wouldnt get married/have kids. And true one of the grandchildren could end up as a sith but in this timeline far less likely. I think it make more sense that Maul would escape and per usual create his own 'empire' of some sort and try to create his own new sith order.
The new prime minister would pardon Anakin with these versions of events. Ankin is a loved war hero who's reputation would grow from this. A trial for him would be very controversial and create unstability.

Not a bad video. You misunderstood the palpatine running scene though. Palpatine never considered yoda his equal. He respected yodas power and skill, but not equal to his own power. Palpatine also knows yoda is dead set on fighting and killing him. so knowing that yoda uses Ataru(which highly excels at acrobatic flips and strikes and jumps) palpatine was trying to get to the hallway where yoda had less space to move around so palpatine would have more of an advantage. The run to the hallway was strategic.
I believe he was afraid, not so much of fighting Yoda, but of what he had to lose by fighting Yoda. Yoda had just lost everything and he had gained everything, they both understand that. He knows he is stronger than Yoda, and by how much. But doesn't want the experience gap between them to lead to an outcome that threaten his position as emperor right after he got it. Knowing Yoda could potentially reach for a desperate move.

We’re overlooking a little detail here Padme would have no reason to go to mustafar as the only reason she went there was to warn Anakin that Obi Wan was looking for him and quoting Obi wan saying that he had fallen to the dark side
Seeing the vid title I imagine Anakin leading the 501st to the temple but he trips on the stairs and tells the leading command to take over and as such there's a lot more survivors.
Ok, one big complaint about this - Anakin didn't actually betray the Jedi order here. He betrayed _one_ Jedi who's actions were already questionable, in order to prevent the legally elected leader of the republic from being killed by said Jedi - and then he basically turned around and _saved_ the rest of the Jedi from the results of that betrayal, even if he did so in a questionable way. Trying to equate that as betrayal of the entire order is honestly a massive reach.

one thing i find a little off with this is the lack of jedi killed by lightsabers, after all the grand inquisitor would have still turned traitor in this scenario and would have likely helped kill the jedi in anakin's place.
I was under the impression he was an Order 66 survivor who was later recruited by Sidious. I could be wrong tho :/ Had he already joined Sidious when 66 was executed?
I mean it only really be the temple guards section where the lightsabers killed bodies would be, if any. Like gotta remember that this was an addon to the original trilogy so its canon yet not. I mean in the sense that it overall doesnt impact the original story nor this one, Obiwon checked the recordings due to numerous bodies being found such as the younglings and not just the temple guards.

I feel like if theirs no Anakin then theirs no temple massacre. The Jedi held back two assaults before Anakin arrived. Most likely the younglings would’ve escaped as would Jocosta nu. (who in the og timeline was going to find the force sensitive kids and start a new order) not to mention grogu reva sevander and others. In this universe the exiled jedi would go from a small pocket to potentially hundreds. Furthermore in this universe the grand inquisitor may not turn at all or at least much later. Perhaps the exiled jedi could setup a secret order led by kenobi yoda and jocasta nu on degobahh or some other jedi homeworld. Kal kestis would most likely find his way to this order much earlier than him being found by cere, potentially being much more powerful than when we meet him. All in all i think anakin not going to the temple would have much more drastic effects for the sith order. Last part; also in this universe the rebellion would likely be much stronger and the inquisitors would be much higher in number to counteract this jedi remnant . Kamino may even hold on much longer and multiple clone armys could be raised.

I do like hearing other people's theories on what if scenarios but Obi-Wan really would just be a hinderance to Yoda if he went with him to face Palpatine. People claim his Soresu defense would be able to block all his attacks and maybe so if Palpatine was a pure duelist like Anakin but he wasn't. Palpatine actually hated Lightsabers and focused more on his force abilities. If Obi-Wan was there Palpatine would either keep trying to force choke him or fry him with Lightning forcing Yoda to keep saving him and thus leaving himself open or allowing Palpatine to escape, and no Obi-Wan would not be able to deflect the lightning with his Lightsaber. True he did Dooku's but Palpatine was on a whole other level and even Windu and Yoda struggled to stop Palpatine's lightning.
Tbf I don’t think anakin would have a lot of guilt even if he personally killed Windu there really was no love lost although I think the guilt would be more from lying to Padme and Luke and Leia

There is one major plothole in your story here you kept saying that Anakin would lose Padme but that is simply not true even in the end Padme still fought to bring him back on mustafar and ultimately died after believing he was dead and gone forever. Padme loved him enough that she would help him especially knowing about his visions, the only thing he actually really did was kill Mace which even Yoda and Obi would have looked past if Anikan came forward with the truth
what if.... in clone wars season 5 episode 19 the Jedi Council decided to keep Ahsoka at the Jedi Temple regardless of the senates request to have Ahsoka handed over for a hearing. Since the Jedi Council refused the request to have here transferred, Palpatine executes order 66 at that point. wouldn't that been interesting? just a thought. I'm looking forward to Ahsoka tonight.

I don't think all Jedi in the temple die instead I believe many escape and do much better Cin Drallig is likely to survive or atleast sacrifice himself to save many others.
One thing that's bothered me is that surely at some times in the past, the two Sith would be discovered by the Jedi and killed. So, with no one to teach the Sith ways, why weren't the Sith extinct? In thousands of years, the Jedi were never able to catch and kill two people? And considering the way Sith kill each other as soon as the apprentice comes into his or her full strength, often there would have been only ONE Sith, without much in the way of resources, to survive in a galaxy of Jedi always alert to his presence.
There are two assumptions here. 1. The Sith actually followed the rule of two. We know Palpatine didn't. Maul was being trained by Palpatine while he was being trained by Plageus. It is very likely that other Sith trained apprentences while not being the master or that a master trained more than one apprentence at the same time. 2. That in a galaxy or trillions, if not quadrillion or more intelligent beings, that an order of thousands would have found 1-2 random beings actively not trying to be found by them.
I appreciate your effort for this and i know such what ifs arent easy to do, however there are some serious plotholes and unrealistic plotlines, especially Anakin lying and making the story up of Windu etc. its simply out of Character for Anakin
What did Anakin even do that was wrong in this story? No, really... what did Anakin actually do here that was wrong? 1. He disarmed Windu, believing he was attacking a restrained and unarmed opponent. Yes, Palpatine was faking being too exhausted to fight any further, but Anakin did not know that at the time. 2. He was given legal orders by the highest officer of the military to carry out a mission to end the enemy leadership. Yes, this was execution without trial when they could have been captured, but the we know there were armed guards in the room, which Anakin fought as we see in the movie that Anakin does deflect a blaster bolt before he is finished. 3. In this series of events, Anakin was not there for order 66 being called. The closest he came to actually being involved in it was not letting Mace execute Palpatine, which, as he said, was not the Jedi way. Otherwise, he was literally just off the planet on a mission. After this point, you have the argument that Anakin was in the wrong because he didn’t prioritize stopping order 66. But really at this point all he has is his word that Palpatine was a Sith, that Mace Windu attempted to execute Palpatine after a struggle between 4 Jedi Masters and Palpatine occured and that Palpatine then sent Anakin offbon a mission to exactly where the remainijg sepratist leaders were. Order 66 was known to have been used by everyone. Security recordings were either already edited by Palpatine or erased. Palpatine's lightsaber was already lost during the contfrontation, and all of the Jedi bodies in the office were killed with a lightsaber. Anakin didn’t even see the fight Palpatine put up, only its aftermath. Regardless of if Anakin was a Sith at the time or not, he was seen by the masses as a Jedi. The very group that was just charged with an attempted and then later successful assassination of the head of the government. He should have had a debriefing where this all would have come up and would have been the appropriate time to say his piece, but the entire military structure had just been gutted.
I looked into that while writing this and apparently, by the time of the Republic it wasn’t illegal to be a Sith (even thought it was illegal during the time of the Old Republic). The novelization for revenge of the sith touches on this, here’s that section of the book; “MACE WINDU: You're a Sith Lord! PALPATINE: Am I? Even if true, that's hardly a crime. My philosophical outlook is a personal matter. In fact the last time I read the Constitution, anyway we have very strict laws against this type of persecution. So I ask you again: what is my alleged crime? How do you expectto justify your mutiny before the Senate? Or do you intend to arrest the Senate as well?”
I honestly feel like it would have made more sense if Anakin knew that Palpatine was playing both sides of the war which could have been serious evidence Anakin would have given to Bail.

I’m not sure padme can survive. We’ve never seen one of amakin’s vision not came to fruition so I feel like those are not possible futures but fixed events that can’t be changed… I think that’s the reason yoda told anakin to let go rather than trying to investigate further…yoda also had premonitions of the end of the jedi during his traning with the forse spirits and didn’t act upon those visions.
WTF was up with Yoda? While Palpatine shot his mouth off and slowly raised his hands pointing at Yoda then finished his rant before he let fly at Yoda with his Force lightening hitting him and sending him flying. Yoda had more than enough open warning what Palpatine was winding himself up to do next. He could have easily raised his hands to defensive position to deflect the attack. Hell I could have easily have been fast enough to raise my hands in defensive preparation. Did Old Jedi Master senility make Yoda's mind wander or something?
@@starwarsquill The Sith inquisitors was created right after the purge of the Jedi Temple. Also the Grand inquisitor join the Sith before that order 66, because he lost faith with the jedis and wanted to live.
Sidious would most definitely be able to escape. And realistically sidious in the EU wanted to leave bc he sensed anakin was in danger which wouldn’t happen here. Operation Knightfall and mustafar is a big gap. So in this timeline Vader would be with the emperor by the time Kenobi and yoda showed up
I love mace but he is more like skywalker then the rest he even used illegal jedi power force crush on grievous to give him that cough! so i liked the ending well thought out ! ur characters started thinking in the story better as well! The neilus thing was kewl i didnt know where u were headed their..even when i heard mask i thought maybe lord momen or how ever u spell it ! so many sith names i could never spel! Why wouldn't Yoda redirect the blaster bolt to deal with Palpatine? Glad Anakin didn't slaughter Luke and Leia. Anakin wouldn't necessarily have known who assassinated Palpatine
I think the reason Palps didnt trust The Clones to kill Anakin is because the 501st had served with him and didnt want to risk them having cold feet about killing their General if Rex led the assault he would drop his pistol to the ground not fathoming killing the man who saved his life many times over during the war
They wouldn't have cold feet. The inhibitor chips would kick in and they would kill Anakin without hesitation. Rex might hesitate but you only need watch The Clone Wars to work out how quick it would be for him to snap back to his programming as per the other clones.

The only thing is that while it’s a decent what if it dosent take into account that legally speaking the Jedi would viewed regardless as traitors at this point in the timeline as anakin is only sent to kill the separatists leaders only after order 66 and the Jedi temple raid so anakin really isn’t able to do much now if you can get a logical reason to keep obi wan in the picture then it could work but he that’s just my personal opinion
I like this story, but yeah, he didn't have to lie to such an extent. Anakin thought they were going to arrest Palpatine, and that was their original plan, but when Anakin walked into the office there's Mace about to kill the guy. From his point of view he saved a man from an illegal execution. An execution that violated the Jedi code as well since he was unarmed (sort of). And maybe Palps "Dealing with the Jedi" meant (to Anakin) having them questioned or sanctioned?
I hate when ppl blame anakin for maces death! Maybe sidious was to powerful to survive but it aint the jedi way to kill unarmed ppl! and that is what killed macewindu that and sidious! Anakin swung to protect a man who no matter what mace thought in order to do it right he had to arrest him! and then it wouldn't look like an assination as well! order 65 could have been used! mace played his part with his temper very well!

What if Anakin's lightsaber slipped out of his hand when he tried to stop Mace and landed right into Palpatine's chest? Or what if Anakin swung too late and cut off Mace's hand a second after executing Palpatine? Or what if Anakin, in his haste, accidentally struck Windu in the side, knocking him over, tripping on Palpatine and making Mace and Palpatine fall out the window? Or what if Palpatine fell out of the window when he was disarmed, instead of falling onto the windowsill?
6:50 wrong. He tried to run away from yoda not because he didnt think he could win, but because he sensed vader was in danger he literally says it right after the fight is over. So in this timeline. The reason he doesnt run is because vader isnt in danger since kenobi is with yoda

Without Anakin there they would have easily defeated the clones. Anakin killed the battle master and the Jedi master there, as well as all the other powerful Jedi there. If he wasn't there it would have been very different.
Obi wans presence would hinder Yoda, he was to weak and Yoda would be to concerned with him to defeat sidious. They both would die and because together they are weaker. The only reason obi Wan beat awaking was because he trained with him all the time, he knew his moves. Anakin was to arrogant and lost because of his hubris.

Padme would absolutely stay with Anakin even if he did reveal the whole truth. She almost forgave him for killing the Jedi younglings. lol.

The funniest thing about this story is that due to Anakin only killing the Separatists, he doesn't really need redemption, as if the Separatist leaders were caught they'd be executed for their war crimes anyway. Meaning the only real blood on Anakins hands would be that of Mace Windu, but considering Mace was about to break the Jedi Code by killing an unarmed combatant after harping on Anakin for not strictly following the Jedi Code for the ENTIRE Clone Wars, I think Anakin did the Jedi a favor by removing someone as undeserving of the title of "Jedi" as Mace Windu.

A little problem: The restricted section of the Jedi Archives was still protected by Jocasta Nu and Cator (a Guardian-Protector Droid), which was basically a Battle Master at lightsaber combat. In the canon Darth Vader comic where we see Vader (now in his armor) raiding the Jedi Temple Archives, he has a tough time again Nu and Cator (which also identified Vader as Anakin based on his lightsaber combat style). Even if Jocasta Nu was not there at the time, Cator would be. And he would NOT allow Anakin to enter or access anything there.
Also, I feel like the ending of this one was good. Anakin having to live with what he did, and even keep it a secret from his family. But I feel like it would eat at Anakin over time. And Padme is too smart to not figure it out eventually. Anakin would have to have truly made peace with his actions and secrets to be able to go on.
Also, I think you made Anakin seem a little too guilty here, anyways. In this version of events, he only aided in the death of Windu (which was objectively justifiable, morally and legally, given Anakin's state of mind and Windu actually going rogue) and killed the CIS' leadership (who were the enemies of the Republic anyways, so I don't think that'd be a problem either way).
Anakin's charges would be (at most):
1. Murder of the 15 members of the Separatist Council
Given that these were the leaders of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the enemy of the Republic, during a time of war, it's almost certain Anakin would face no punishment for this.
2. Accomplice to the murder of Jedi Master of the Order, Mace Windu.
Because Palpatine's nature as a Sith (and thus a Force user) was being concealed (mostly due to the general public's ignorance of the difference between Jedi and Sith), it could not be said that Palpatine was armed or dangerous, and therefore Mace Windu was wrong to use deadly force against him, and thus Anakin was right in turning against Windu.
Also, in this version of events, Anakin had absolutely no part in Order 66 or Operation Knightfall. Not once did Anakin turn his blade against another Jedi with the intention of killing them or otherwise betraying the Jedi Order. He DID basically cause Windu's death, but he only disarmed Windu (but the fact Anakin was responsible for Windu's death would be concealed, as it would require revealing Palpatine's nature as a Sith, which would only cause more problems for the Jedi).
It can be easily twisted to say that Anakin simply once again proved himself the hero of the Republic by single-handedly tracking down and eliminating the CIS' leaders, ending the war.
Anakin did make a wrong choice, but in the end he did the right thing and helped his fellow Jedi.

*Most of this video is accurate. Changes I would make to this video:*
- Anakin would talk to Padmé before he goes to Mustafar. He would say everything on his mind.
- Anakin goes to Mustafar and kills the Seperatist leaders. This will mark the official end to the Clone Wars for the senate later on.
- Padmé will follow Anakin to Mustafar just like in the main timeline. She'll get a message from Bail Organa with the truth.
- Obi-Wan is not there so there would be no duel. He wouldn't force shoke Padmé.
- Obi-Wan & Yoda fight the Chancellor and he'll be killed. They'll both testify to the Senate and explain everything.
- The Senate will declare the Clone Wars to be over and will return to being a Galactic Republic. Elections will happen later.
- Padmé calms Anakin down and he accepts that his visions clouded his judgement and that he will better himself.
- Anakin comes to the Light side once again and go with Padmé to the hospital. Luke, Leia & Padmé all will be healthy.
- Anakin will later on contact Master Yoda & Obi-Wan to inform what really happened. He'll talk to the Jedi Council.
- Anakin will leave the Jedi Order and will have a normal life, with Padmé, Luke, Leia, Ahsoka & Captain Rex on Naboo.
- Jar Jar Binks will stay the Naboo senator and will step down later on for a new senator. Bail Organa will be the new Chancellor.
- C3PO & R2-D2 will also stay on Naboo with the Skywalker family. Obi-Wan & Bail Organa and his wife will come to visit often too.
- Master Yoda never goes into hiding on Dagobah but instead will train Obi-Wan and other Jedi Masters to become Force Ghosts.
- There will be new Council members. The Jedi Order will rebuild with peace again in the galaxy.
- Events from The Bad Batch, Rebels, Solo, Rogue One & Episode IV-VI will never happen. The Bad Batch goes into retirement.
- The Clone facility on Kamino will not be destroyed. Luminara Undulli & Kanan Jarrus and Jedi hunted by Darth Vader won't be killed.
- Ben Solo becoming a Sith can still happen. Snoke & Palpatine's clones won't be there though.
- Leia & Luke won't die the same methods as in Episode VIII & IX. They'll stay alive and help Ben forgive himself and return to the light side.

Only thing I disagree with is Ben Solo being a thing. Overall 7-9 wouldnt happen at all. Han would either not be a smuggler or would never meet Lela in the first place so they wouldnt get married/have kids. And true one of the grandchildren could end up as a sith but in this timeline far less likely. I think it make more sense that Maul would escape and per usual create his own 'empire' of some sort and try to create his own new sith order.
The new prime minister would pardon Anakin with these versions of events. Ankin is a loved war hero who's reputation would grow from this. A trial for him would be very controversial and create unstability.
This feels like an secret ending to the Revenge of the Sith.

Not a bad video. You misunderstood the palpatine running scene though. Palpatine never considered yoda his equal. He respected yodas power and skill, but not equal to his own power. Palpatine also knows yoda is dead set on fighting and killing him. so knowing that yoda uses Ataru(which highly excels at acrobatic flips and strikes and jumps) palpatine was trying to get to the hallway where yoda had less space to move around so palpatine would have more of an advantage. The run to the hallway was strategic.

I believe he was afraid, not so much of fighting Yoda, but of what he had to lose by fighting Yoda.
Yoda had just lost everything and he had gained everything, they both understand that. He knows he is stronger than Yoda, and by how much. But doesn't want the experience gap between them to lead to an outcome that threaten his position as emperor right after he got it. Knowing Yoda could potentially reach for a desperate move.

Seeing the vid title I imagine Anakin leading the 501st to the temple but he trips on the stairs and tells the leading command to take over and as such there's a lot more survivors.
Ok, one big complaint about this - Anakin didn't actually betray the Jedi order here. He betrayed _one_ Jedi who's actions were already questionable, in order to prevent the legally elected leader of the republic from being killed by said Jedi - and then he basically turned around and _saved_ the rest of the Jedi from the results of that betrayal, even if he did so in a questionable way. Trying to equate that as betrayal of the entire order is honestly a massive reach.

one thing i find a little off with this is the lack of jedi killed by lightsabers, after all the grand inquisitor would have still turned traitor in this scenario and would have likely helped kill the jedi in anakin's place.

I feel like if theirs no Anakin then theirs no temple massacre. The Jedi held back two assaults before Anakin arrived. Most likely the younglings would’ve escaped as would Jocosta nu. (who in the og timeline was going to find the force sensitive kids and start a new order) not to mention grogu reva sevander and others. In this universe the exiled jedi would go from a small pocket to potentially hundreds. Furthermore in this universe the grand inquisitor may not turn at all or at least much later. Perhaps the exiled jedi could setup a secret order led by kenobi yoda and jocasta nu on degobahh or some other jedi homeworld. Kal kestis would most likely find his way to this order much earlier than him being found by cere, potentially being much more powerful than when we meet him. All in all i think anakin not going to the temple would have much more drastic effects for the sith order. Last part; also in this universe the rebellion would likely be much stronger and the inquisitors would be much higher in number to counteract this jedi remnant . Kamino may even hold on much longer and multiple clone armys could be raised.

I do like hearing other people's theories on what if scenarios but Obi-Wan really would just be a hinderance to Yoda if he went with him to face Palpatine. People claim his Soresu defense would be able to block all his attacks and maybe so if Palpatine was a pure duelist like Anakin but he wasn't. Palpatine actually hated Lightsabers and focused more on his force abilities. If Obi-Wan was there Palpatine would either keep trying to force choke him or fry him with Lightning forcing Yoda to keep saving him and thus leaving himself open or allowing Palpatine to escape, and no Obi-Wan would not be able to deflect the lightning with his Lightsaber. True he did Dooku's but Palpatine was on a whole other level and even Windu and Yoda struggled to stop Palpatine's lightning.
What if Anakin and Padme ran away to Naboo to raise their children, leaving the Jedi and the Republic to take care of themselves?
That would be an interesting scenario…

There is one major plothole in your story here you kept saying that Anakin would lose Padme but that is simply not true even in the end Padme still fought to bring him back on mustafar and ultimately died after believing he was dead and gone forever. Padme loved him enough that she would help him especially knowing about his visions, the only thing he actually really did was kill Mace which even Yoda and Obi would have looked past if Anikan came forward with the truth
what if.... in clone wars season 5 episode 19 the Jedi Council decided to keep Ahsoka at the Jedi Temple regardless of the senates request to have Ahsoka handed over for a hearing. Since the Jedi Council refused the request to have here transferred, Palpatine executes order 66 at that point. wouldn't that been interesting? just a thought. I'm looking forward to Ahsoka tonight.

One thing that's bothered me is that surely at some times in the past, the two Sith would be discovered by the Jedi and killed. So, with no one to teach the Sith ways, why weren't the Sith extinct? In thousands of years, the Jedi were never able to catch and kill two people? And considering the way Sith kill each other as soon as the apprentice comes into his or her full strength, often there would have been only ONE Sith, without much in the way of resources, to survive in a galaxy of Jedi always alert to his presence.
There are two assumptions here.
1. The Sith actually followed the rule of two. We know Palpatine didn't. Maul was being trained by Palpatine while he was being trained by Plageus. It is very likely that other Sith trained apprentences while not being the master or that a master trained more than one apprentence at the same time.
2. That in a galaxy or trillions, if not quadrillion or more intelligent beings, that an order of thousands would have found 1-2 random beings actively not trying to be found by them.

I appreciate your effort for this and i know such what ifs arent easy to do, however there are some serious plotholes and unrealistic plotlines, especially Anakin lying and making the story up of Windu etc. its simply out of Character for Anakin
What did Anakin even do that was wrong in this story?
No, really... what did Anakin actually do here that was wrong?
1. He disarmed Windu, believing he was attacking a restrained and unarmed opponent. Yes, Palpatine was faking being too exhausted to fight any further, but Anakin did not know that at the time.
2. He was given legal orders by the highest officer of the military to carry out a mission to end the enemy leadership. Yes, this was execution without trial when they could have been captured, but the we know there were armed guards in the room, which Anakin fought as we see in the movie that Anakin does deflect a blaster bolt before he is finished.
3. In this series of events, Anakin was not there for order 66 being called. The closest he came to actually being involved in it was not letting Mace execute Palpatine, which, as he said, was not the Jedi way. Otherwise, he was literally just off the planet on a mission.
After this point, you have the argument that Anakin was in the wrong because he didn’t prioritize stopping order 66. But really at this point all he has is his word that Palpatine was a Sith, that Mace Windu attempted to execute Palpatine after a struggle between 4 Jedi Masters and Palpatine occured and that Palpatine then sent Anakin offbon a mission to exactly where the remainijg sepratist leaders were. Order 66 was known to have been used by everyone. Security recordings were either already edited by Palpatine or erased. Palpatine's lightsaber was already lost during the contfrontation, and all of the Jedi bodies in the office were killed with a lightsaber. Anakin didn’t even see the fight Palpatine put up, only its aftermath.
Regardless of if Anakin was a Sith at the time or not, he was seen by the masses as a Jedi. The very group that was just charged with an attempted and then later successful assassination of the head of the government. He should have had a debriefing where this all would have come up and would have been the appropriate time to say his piece, but the entire military structure had just been gutted.

one giant issue.. being sith was very illigal in the republic... hell even holding a single sith aritifact could land you in prisson life long
I looked into that while writing this and apparently, by the time of the Republic it wasn’t illegal to be a Sith (even thought it was illegal during the time of the Old Republic).
The novelization for revenge of the sith touches on this, here’s that section of the book;
“MACE WINDU: You're a Sith Lord!
PALPATINE: Am I? Even if true, that's hardly a crime. My philosophical outlook is a personal matter. In fact the last time I read the Constitution, anyway we have very strict laws against this type of persecution. So I ask you again: what is my alleged crime? How do you expectto justify your mutiny before the Senate? Or do you intend to arrest the Senate as well?”
I honestly feel like it would have made more sense if Anakin knew that Palpatine was playing both sides of the war which could have been serious evidence Anakin would have given to Bail.

I’m not sure padme can survive. We’ve never seen one of amakin’s vision not came to fruition so I feel like those are not possible futures but fixed events that can’t be changed… I think that’s the reason yoda told anakin to let go rather than trying to investigate further…yoda also had premonitions of the end of the jedi during his traning with the forse spirits and didn’t act upon those visions.
WTF was up with Yoda? While Palpatine shot his mouth off and slowly raised his hands pointing at Yoda then finished his rant before he let fly at Yoda with his Force lightening hitting him and sending him flying. Yoda had more than enough open warning what Palpatine was winding himself up to do next. He could have easily raised his hands to defensive position to deflect the attack. Hell I could have easily have been fast enough to raise my hands in defensive preparation. Did Old Jedi Master senility make Yoda's mind wander or something?

Sidious would most definitely be able to escape. And realistically sidious in the EU wanted to leave bc he sensed anakin was in danger which wouldn’t happen here. Operation Knightfall and mustafar is a big gap. So in this timeline Vader would be with the emperor by the time Kenobi and yoda showed up

Why wouldn't Yoda redirect the blaster bolt to deal with Palpatine? Glad Anakin didn't slaughter Luke and Leia. Anakin wouldn't necessarily have known who assassinated Palpatine
I think the reason Palps didnt trust The Clones to kill Anakin is because the 501st had served with him and didnt want to risk them having cold feet about killing their General if Rex led the assault he would drop his pistol to the ground not fathoming killing the man who saved his life many times over during the war
They wouldn't have cold feet. The inhibitor chips would kick in and they would kill Anakin without hesitation. Rex might hesitate but you only need watch The Clone Wars to work out how quick it would be for him to snap back to his programming as per the other clones.
Every clone served with the jedi. Most jedi who were killed by the clones were killed by their own battalion

I like this story, but yeah, he didn't have to lie to such an extent. Anakin thought they were going to arrest Palpatine, and that was their original plan, but when Anakin walked into the office there's Mace about to kill the guy. From his point of view he saved a man from an illegal execution. An execution that violated the Jedi code as well since he was unarmed (sort of). And maybe Palps "Dealing with the Jedi" meant (to Anakin) having them questioned or sanctioned?

I hate when ppl blame anakin for maces death! Maybe sidious was to powerful to survive but it aint the jedi way to kill unarmed ppl! and that is what killed macewindu that and sidious! Anakin swung to protect a man who no matter what mace thought in order to do it right he had to arrest him! and then it wouldn't look like an assination as well! order 65 could have been used! mace played his part with his temper very well!
Order 65 can’t be executed without the approval of the Senate, right? I was under the impression that that’s why Mace tries to end Sidious right then and there…

Umm even if he was not a sith lord take that away and he still has more power then most jedi with power! so i think in this instance because the jedi fight as gernals of the GAR they would be allowed to bring palpatine or any other senator to the senate as long as they had proof! I aint sure on that i just didnt seee how order 65 could work if only senators could do it! but ur point is taken and i am not afraid to be wrong at all! i might be!
What if Anakin's lightsaber slipped out of his hand when he tried to stop Mace and landed right into Palpatine's chest?
Or what if Anakin swung too late and cut off Mace's hand a second after executing Palpatine?
Or what if Anakin, in his haste, accidentally struck Windu in the side, knocking him over, tripping on Palpatine and making Mace and Palpatine fall out the window?
Or what if Palpatine fell out of the window when he was disarmed, instead of falling onto the windowsill?

6:50 wrong. He tried to run away from yoda not because he didnt think he could win, but because he sensed vader was in danger he literally says it right after the fight is over. So in this timeline. The reason he doesnt run is because vader isnt in danger since kenobi is with yoda

Without Anakin there they would have easily defeated the clones. Anakin killed the battle master and the Jedi master there, as well as all the other powerful Jedi there. If he wasn't there it would have been very different.

Obi wans presence would hinder Yoda, he was to weak and Yoda would be to concerned with him to defeat sidious. They both would die and because together they are weaker. The only reason obi Wan beat awaking was because he trained with him all the time, he knew his moves. Anakin was to arrogant and lost because of his hubris.
